~Appearance~
As you are heading out the door of your house, a small glimmer of light catches your eye. You turn around and see a mirror, putting you face to face with your reflection.

Physical appearance: Darren stands at about 6 foot tall, he is of medium build weighting at around 190 pounds, his skin is slightly tanned due to spending many a day on patrol. He has brown hair with blond high lights in it, its usually straightened. His eyes were naturally brown but due to over exposure to Mako they are now a light blue color.
Clothing/Accessories: He still dons the SOLDIER 3rd Class uniform, the chest garment is a navy/dark blue color that appears to look like its made of wool; its not in short its made out of a light Kevlar material. It has no sleeves and goes up this neck in a turtle neck design. On both his shoulders he has metal shoulder guards, strong enough to deflect light or medium sword strikes and certain amounts of bullets, not AP rounds though.
On both his left and right hands he wears light leather gloves, these are to withstand the stress of battle to avoid blisters forming on the skin from sword use and to provide a certain amount of protection from attacks.
His trousers are the same color as the chest garment a dark navy blue and are designed to be comfortable but able to withstand light attacks. It has three belts with it, one is a big leather belt that covers most of Darren's lower stomach and has a suspender with it, these go over his chest across both shoulders and down his back, clipped onto the belt of course, these are to make sure his lower internal organs are protected, it also dons the SOLDIER insignia.
The other two small black leather belts are there to assist in the making sure the SOLDIERS pants do not drop during patrol/parade or assaults.
He wears size 13 combat boots made out of a black leather, designed for long patrols and sturdy balance during attacks, instead of laces which could come undone during missions, they are instead fitted with a single Zip each.
On his head he wears the SOLDIER head Garment ( I have no idea how I can describe this piece of clothing so you'll have to click on the link for a description.)

~Personality~
As you're walking through the door, you see many sights that influence your mood. The different feelings that suddenly wash over you are many, leaving you with a strange mix of emotions.

Alignment: Neutral, he follows what his heart believes is right at the time, be it helping the poor from a bully, to assisting in the ransacking of a village.
Behavior: Darren's behaviors before the indoctrination process into Soldier, was a very happy go lucky one at that, always smiling and the cracking of jokes upon others, he was a good friend among the other recruits, however since the Mako over exposure he has become silent, not wanting to speak and would rather use body movements than actual words.
When he is around people who he doesn't know, he tends to keep a fair distance of about 5 - 10 feet away from them. If he isn't keen on them then he wont speak, if he needs them for something then he will.
When is he around old comrades or people who he can relate too, he's more talkative than he is with a stranger. He will stand closer to them and be more vigilant in helping them.
In Combat, he will hardly ever speak, if he does then its probably something important he has to say, he doesn't taunt opponents much but when he does he tends to find a weak spot in there Psyche and attack it with his words.

~Weapons~
Suddenly, a Heartless appears in front of you, brandishing its claws and threatening to attack. You reach for your weapon and equip it, ready to defend yourself.

Weapon 1: Strapped to his back is the Longsword that most Soldiers use on there missions, the length of the blade goes from just below his elbow down to his feet, the length of the handle/grip is just enough to be wielded with two hands if he wished to do so. The Guard on the sword is slightly curved to deflect attacks. The sheath is made of a dark brown leather and has a zip going across the swords non blade bit.
Weapon 2: Attached to his giant leather belt is a slightly smaller sword but curved like a boomerang, this is Darren's long range weapon, while it is good for close combat it is also a mediocre medium to long range weapon, upon being thrown like a boomerang it will return to its user if its flight path is left undisturbed.

~Abilities~
Just as you're about to fight the creature, you feel the power of your ancestors filling you. The strength of a thousand men courses through your veins as you prepare for battle.

Cats Grace:
When Darren uses this ability, the world goes into that of slow-motion, he can see what happening to a crawl, although time does not stop. To his enemies he appears to be moving very quickly in short jerky movements like a cat on a hot tin roof, this ability only remains active for about 5 to 20 seconds.
Strength:Weak
Uses: 3 times during battle, with each use however he eventually becomes more and more fatigued. In post terms this lasts for about a single post, with another post in between uses.
The Grizzly Bear:
When this ability is activated, Darren's eyes become red with rage, his body becomes hunched and his ability to speak becomes whittled down to just being capable of grunting or roaring. His attacks become stronger, but his movements become much sluggish, the effects of this ability can be used for around a minute, pushing it to 2 minutes if he feels his body can handle it etc.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Once per battle, afterwords he becomes very fatigued, this lasts for about 3 - 4 posts in battle.
Ability Name: Claws of Darkness.
~Description of Ability~
Normal form: When Darren is in a normal state the Claws appear as some form of Metal Gauntlet with clawed fingers. However when Dark energy is channeled into the fingers before a swipe a arial slash can be performed which sends an after slash of energy cutting flesh even if the gauntlet did not touch the opponent.
Strength:When in his normal form this ability is counted as weak.
Uses: The Gauntlet can be used an unlimited amount of times, as so can the gauntlets special ability however with a cool down of a post in between uses.

There was little to think about now, having just passed the physical and mental exams by ShinRA science division he was pr-oven strong enough to undergo the Mako Fusion process, being lead into a capsule already donning his 3rd class gear. He stood there inside the rather cramped device. As the door closed he thought back to his childhood, the last 15 years he'd spent beneath the giant city of Midgar, living in its shadow. He remembered how his mother gave him everything and in return died an early death at the hands of thugs no more than three months ago while he was away escorting a ShinRA executive through the wastelands.
He closed his hand into a ball and gritted his teeth in anger, he had power now; the power to stop things like that from happening again. " Darren 3rd Class SOLDIER.." he said to himself with a stern voice; it had a ring to it, he couldn't wait to hear how it sounded with 2nd and 1st class.
He opened his eyes as the vent in between his feet opened up, and a pale blue liquid slowly began rising up, the mako fusion process had begun " I guess.. this is it now.. " he muttered to himself as the liquid was now floating up around his knee's. Looking outside the observation window he could see the scientists inspecting the other candidates capsules and monitoring the computer that detailed the process.
The mako was now just below his shoulders when it happened, the lights blacked out and a cackle of electricity surrounded his capsule, the Mako turned black like someone let ink mix with it. It eventually surrounded Darren and he felt as if he was drowning, he felt something tug on his feet, opening his mouth in shock the mako flowed in and down his throat; the fusion complete, but with tainted mako.
Five minutes passed and the Science department managed to open up Darren's capsule but upon opening it, he was to be found nowhere.
However in a different town, on a different planet but still beneath the same sky, a soldier lay against a wall, his helmet closed down obscuring his vision, looking up he heard a voice " Hello Hello..? Your in Radiant Garden now..". With that he passed out, the mako process taking its toll.
