Character Personality
Jack Skellington is a well loved member of Halloween Town. He is a gentleman full of energy and charisma, with the ability to win anyone over with his charm. Unlike the supposed being he is, Jack is enthusiastic and lively.
Though he means well for others, Jack could be a bit pushy and a little oblivious to the feelings of others, whether it’s infatuation or annoyance. Because he’s the Pumpkin King, he thinks highly of himself, and can be quite self-absorbed. Friendly and outgoing, Jack could easily make friends with anyone he wants, regardless of whether they want to be his friend of not. In the end though, if the Pumpkin King really put some thoughts into it, he can see right from wrong, and if he makes a mistakes, he does all he could to try and fix it.
Jack is into theatrics and is dramatic. He could take his head off and recite Shakespearean quotations, and find scaring others the joy of his life, but have no bad intention towards others. The skeleton man claims to be the best at scaring, and is well known throughout the world. Once he is entertained by an idea he like, regardless of what others think, it becomes Jack’s obsession.
Though dramatic and fluctuant in his mood, it takes a lot to anger the skeleton. But if he is, he becomes sharp, stern, and somber. Not many dare or want to strike out against him, but if needed, Jack can be a stealthy fighter. Aided by his amazingly long legs, Jack can out run and outfight almost anyone. In the end though, Jack only attack if the other strikes first, and the only power he enjoyed using is of course his power to scare others.
Character's Appearance
Jack Skellington, like his name purposed—a skeleton. Being only bones, Jack is incredibly long and spidery, and with his elongated limbs, looked like a stick, and yet is elegant in his way of moving about. He is extremely tall; almost 7 ft to be exact, and quite often, others find him bending to their level in order to make sure they don’t feel stunted when standing next to him and in order to look them eye to eye.
Being a skeleton, Jack has a round white skull and black hollowed eyes that can choose to give one the shivers or make them feel more than welcomed. He has a stitched on mouth that when stretched into a malicious and devious grin, shows rows of yellow incisors, enough to scare the pants off anyone.
Jack wears a black pin-striped suit buttoned at the chest with long ragged tails trailing behind him, and black boots. At the base of his long neck is a bow that resembles that of a bat. At one point when the Pumpkin King was obsessing over Christmas, Jack wore a red Santa suit and fake beard, made by the rag doll, Sally.

Blazing Fury
Jack Skellignton's anger is a very rare but equally terrible thing. When a menacing expression appears upon his simple features horror is sure to follow. Jack's skeletal hands light up in bright blazes of red-hot flame which lick the air hungrily in their lust to devour. Throwing his arms forward Jack unleashes the blaze of his own fury towards enemy targets, engulfing them in horrific heat and fire. A truly hellish and deserving end is in store for those who would dare invoke the wrath of the Pumpkin King. This attack requires a one post cool down.
Bolts of Sorrow
Jack Skellington's simple visage takes on a look of pity towards his enemies as he raises a single palm towards them to face the sky. A large dark cloud forms instantly above his enemy, following them wherever they may try to run. As if crying for the inevitable tragic fate that shall befall them, harmless rain pours down from the cloud letting the world know of it's sorrow. This continues for as long as Jack holds his hand's position. When the bony fingers lower the black cloud ends it's tears of water and releases the tears of lightning stored within, raining them down heavily upon the targets in flashes of bright yellow. Needless to say, if the target is wet from rain the thunder elemental attack to come will only be amplified to even stronger levels, making the attack more potent the longer Jack allowed the spell to cry sorrowfully upon an enemy. Bolts of Sorrow can be used to attack more than one enemy at once, but it only targets one and will strike down others when they happen to be nearby at the time of release. This attack requires a one post cool down.
Icy Terror
An attack of pure terror sent to break an opponent's mind and body simultaneously. Jack's features take on a frightening expression of happiness at the sake of another's terror as he crosses his long bony arms in front of his chest. As he does so a burst of cold, bluish wind bursts up from the earth below his target. As soon as this wind chills their body it's magic takes effect. While the following process would be carried out in what seems like a mere moment to anyone else, the one afflicted by the cold has their mind's perception rapidly sped up, causing it to seem as if the world around them is moving in slow motion. First the part of their body touching the ground would be encased in thick ice crystals, and the cold entrapment will steadily work it's way upwards, covering their entire being. The freezing will seem agonizingly slow to the one trapped within the effects of Icy Terror, but their mind's enhanced speed will almost always make it impossible for them to send coherent brain signals to activate their body, magic or special abilities to save them, rendering them completely helpless once ensnared. Lastly, the ice will attempt to lock their gaze towards Jack as the last of their body is encapsulated in unforgiving frost, forcing them to stare into his chilling eyes as they suffer from the full effect of the freezing cold for an enhanced period of perception, making it seem as if they were to be trapped forever. In the real world Jack's spell will have actually frozen them from start to finish in a matter of seconds and the Pumpkin King ends the victim's torture with an uncrossing of his arms. This action causes the ice crystal to shatter and inflict terrible elemental damage to the one trapped inside. This sudden heavy physical shock prompts the target's mind to return forcibly back to an ordinary pace. When the intense mental strain that the spell attempts to inflict is coupled with the sudden and forceful physical damage, it makes Icy Terror a powerful finishing blow for Jack's enemies. The wind must blow all the way up the enemy's body in order for the attack to reach the final level, otherwise only parts of the body that are touched by the wind will freeze and take damage. This chilling spell can be used to attack multiple targets at once, so long as they are in front of Jack when it is cast. This attack calls for a four post cool down.

Character History
--------------------------------------
Known as the infamous Pumpkin King in Halloween Town, Jack had always been the best of the best, the one who creates the main theme for each year’s Halloween. Year after year, he gives the citizens of Halloween Town the fright of their life, and in return was showered by their praises, respected and loved. And this continue on, year after year until suddenly, one Halloween—claimed by the inhabitants to be the “most horrible yet”—Jack found himself horribly bored by the repetitive holiday.
Lost in thought and despair, Skellington and his faithful dog, Zero, wandered through the Hinterlands, trying to figure out what was missing from his life, and musing over something ‘more’ until he reached a circle of trees he had never came across. Jack found each door intriguing, but what attracted him the most was the brightly decorated door shaped in a Christmas tree.
Opening the door, Jack found himself swept into a winter wonderland of songs, colors, and laughter. Confused, but no doubt amazed, Jack explored this ‘Christmas Town’ with excitement.
He returns to Halloween Town with souvenirs of Christmas Town, and tales of this new land filled with snow. In a town meeting, he told the citizens of Halloween Town of this sugary, bright world, and to his disappointment, they did not find much interest in bringing laughter out of children instead of screams. But nonetheless, Jack locked himself in his tower, obsessing over Christmas and researching on it, trying to grasp its secret.
Finally Jack emerged, successful and claiming that this year, Christmas will be their holiday. Spurred by Jack’s enthusiasm, the undead of Halloween Town began the preparation of their version of Christmas. The only one who does not bode well with this was Sally, a rag doll created by the town genius, Dr. Finklestein and Jack’s friend warned him of this being a mistake, but assuring her that all will be fine, Jack continued on with the event.
While this was going on, Jack reunited with a young boy that he had met one Halloween ago, when the town he was living in was suddenly infested by strange creatures, scaring the citizens of the town and causing quite a fuss, ruining that year’s Halloween plan. Rather than despair, Jack had tried to gather up these strange creatures and make them part of the theme, instead, Jack discovered that it was more than he can handle. Jack had found himself working with the boy and his companions, fighting the heartless off. Now, he comes face to face with this boy, Sora again, and together they set off to find Santa in order to get permission from St. Nicholas to take over Christmas. They ran into a bit of trouble, but managed to sort it out in the end and Sora left, bidding Jack farewell.
Since asking nicely had no use, Jack had Lock, Shock, and Barrel ‘bring’ Santa, or Sandy Claws back to Halloween Town so he could inform the old man that he was going to be doing his job this year. After this, he set off, leaving Santa with the mischief makers, who decided for themselves that they were going to feed Santa to Oogie Boogie, a monster that dwells beneath Halloween Town.
While Jack was having fun delivering presents, the people receiving them were not having as much fun as he. In the end, Jack was shot down by the military and landed in a cemetery, where he lamented over why things could never go his way. But after awhile, he saw who he really should be. He was Jack, The Pumpkin King!
Delight turned to guilt, when he remembered that he still had to correct the mistake he had made; he headed back to Halloween Town, only to find Santa, and Sally, who had made a desperate attempt to save Santa, in the clutches of Oogie Boogie.
After easily taking down Boogie, Jack saved both Santa and Sally, returning Santa back to Christmas Town and coming to acknowledgment with Sally and her feelings. In the end, they were ‘meant to be’.

I manipulated the storyline a bit in order to ease the movie into the

The sun was rising, and Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King was utterly and completely lost. And yet, at the same time, the gangly skeleton man was so engrossed with his self-pitying thoughts that he did not realize that he was lost. He continued down the hardly distinguishable path, surrounded by trees almost as thin as him, his long arms folded behind his back and his hollowed eyes staring at the cushiony autumn ground below him.
Skellington’s dead, but very faithful companion, Zero floated beside him at his bony legs. His small pumpkin nose glowing peacefully and a certain ghoul like shine forever emanating from that ghost like sheet of a body. The dog looked up at its owner with worry. Jack had been walking through the forest all night, engulfed in his thoughts.
In that detachable head of his, Jack thought over every single Halloween he had been through, which must have been hundreds, thousands! He let out a dramatic sigh, his shoulder drooping slightly. The Pumpkin King was dressed elegantly in a pinstripe suit, his legs towering above half of the inhabitants of Halloween Town. At the base of his long neck was a bow resembling that of a bat, normally with its wings spread regally, showing off the skeleton’s status. He was the Pumpkin King! Well respected and loved, and no one else could compare with him when it comes to getting screams of fright out of people. It was what he was good at, it was what he was made for, and it was what made him get that pleasurable shiver deep down into his bony white rib-cage.
But at the moment, after the….he had lost count of which Halloween it was, Jack was not feeling at his best. And the bat-like wings of the bow dropped a bit, accompanying that deep sigh that would escape from that heart stopping skeleton mouth of his. He had lost the love for Halloween, and that, distressed the skeleton. He knew that something important was missing. If only he could figure it out….
Zero barked at his master, floating in front of him, trying to alert the oblivious skeleton to his surroundings. Jack waved a bony hand at the dog, pushing him away. “Not now Zero,” he mumbled, the hollowed holes that were presumably his eyes furrowing into a frown. Not of annoyance, no. Jack was never one who is easily annoyed. But at the moment, Jack preferred some quite so he could continue his self-pity.
The dog barked again, and Jack sighed, looking up to see what was exciting Zero so much. Those collapsed holes were suddenly wide open, deep and dark, like a black hole, absorbing the phenomenon before him.
In front of him stood a circle of trees, each with a door of strange designs and colorful, inviting doorknobs. There was one of a plush turkey, with a beautiful tail full of feathers, another of an egg, painted with childish colors, and yet another with a lush four leaf clover, and…..Jack approached this door, drawn by the glittering colors and lights. A tree, decorated with ornaments that were foreign to this native of Halloween Town. But so beautiful that, in Jack’s hole like eyes, it seemed to outshine any of the other doors.
Jack peered down, his spider like body bending so he could get a closer look at the door. Getting on his knees, he turned his head this way and that, ‘ooh’ing and ‘ahh’ing over the door. His long skeletal fingers closed over the white doorknob that was so shiny that he could see his distorted reflection in it.
Slowly drawing out the moment, Jack twisted the doorknob, and the door opened without so much as a creak. A cool breeze reached his pale face and Jack closed his eyes, enjoying this chill that the people of Halloween Town could never experience, and leaned into the hollowed tree, looking down. Zero barked, starting to worry as, unbeknownst to Jack, tendrils of frosted wind blew out of the tree, wrapping their chilling grip around the skinny skeleton man, and with a shout of surprise, Jack was pulled into the tree, the Christmas Door closing with a slam, cutting the Pumpkin King’s shout in half and leaving his worried pet pacing in front of the deserted tree.
