Moriko is usually a happy girl, always optimistic about people and never believing that they are truly evil. She just likes to believe that they are 'misunderstood.' This of course, gets her into bad situations when she actually does run into evil people, nobodies and whatnot.
This 16-year-old likes to talk, a lot. It will most likely get on somebody's nerves unless they are a remarkably good listener. If somebody tells her to be quiet though, she'll usually stop talking... for a minute or two.
If you haven't noticed by now, she is a bit immature.
She likes to train, but she doesn't like to actually fight people. Whenever she's forced into fighting, she usually goes on the defensive and tries to convince the other person not to fight her. If they persist though, she will fight back.
Character's Appearance:
She has unusually dark blue eyes that have perfect vision. If somebody were to look at them, they'd notice that they are full of energy and happiness.
She has light brown hair that is usually pulled back into a messy bun. When her hair is down, it is straight and it will goes down to her mid-back. Her hair is difficult for her to manage because of how long it is, and it will always get in her way if it's down.
Her skin has a light tan, and no matter how much time she spends outside, it always remains that shade. Well, unless she gets sunburned, which is pretty rare.
She has a slim figure, which is due to all of her time playing outside or training. Her metabolism is pretty good too, so she can eat a lot and not gain a pound (which baffles many).
She is only 5'02'' and so she is, of course, a shortie. This causes her to look up to many people, literally.

Light Heart
Weapon Appearance:
Light Heart is a heavy sword that is almost as tall as Moriko. It is silver but has a black hilt. Going up around the blade is a star design in a dark red.
Abilities:
1. Swordplay- Moriko can wield Light Heart with ease and grace, despite it's size. She isn't the usual 'hack and slash' sword fighter, because she aims for weak parts of the body that can prevent her opponent from going on with the fight, she rarely aims for vitals though. When she fights with it though, she has to hold it with both hands.
2. Portals - She can open portals to different worlds when she has all of her magic energy. When she doesn't have all of her energy, she can still open portals but it will hurt her and she'll just teleport to a different spot on the world she is currently in.
3. Illusions - Moriko can cast illusions fairly easily to distract an opponent. It costs only a little of her magic energy, but it costs a lot of her concentration. It makes battling an enemy easier yet harder at the same time. If she focuses to much on the illusion, then she is left open for attack, but if she focuses to much on the enemy, the illusion disappears.

Character History:

Moriko was born into a poor family, her father a talented (but undiscovered) actor and her mother a school teacher. Despite this, she led a fairly happy life; go to school, come home and help with chores and do homework.
Eventually, the blue-eyed girl wanted to do something rather... different. She wanted to learn how to fence, something that was costly and not in the family budget. Determined to learn, she did many odd jobs around her hometown to pay for the lessons; dog-walking, cat-sitting, house cleaning. Somehow, she managed to find time for that, school, and chores.
When she gained enough munny for the lessons, she started immediately. Of course, now she was balancing the jobs, chores, lessons, and school. Still, she remained cheerful and determined, even though at this time, she was only 10.
By the time she turned 14, she was a skilled sword fighter, practicing in her free time. The problem was though, that she didn't really lead that much of a social life, causing her parents to worry about her. Eventually, her father stopped the lessons without asking the teenager and this only infuriated Moriko.
Still, she went to school, came home, did chores, but now, she secretly practiced with her sword in the mean time. She wasn't about to let her talent simply die without a fight.
At the age of 15, it became clear that she didn't want anything to do with her parents. Now because they were always fighting about something. When they found out that she still practiced with her sword though, they were infuriated.
Taking away her sword, her mother tried to reason with the girl but the teenager would not hear it. She treasured her sword and her talent with it and they had just taken it away.
That's when Moriko did something a bit rash, she ran away.
She left the town on a train and lived off the streets for almost half a year before she was cornered by thugs. Fearing for her life, she accidentally created a portal in which she escaped through to another world. Olympus Coliseum to be exact.
There, she actually managed to buy a new sword (after doing many odd jobs in the world) which she named Light Heart. Training to her heart's content, Moriko discovered that she could make illusions with some difficulty.
When she first encountered the heartless first came, she created another portal and fled the world, scared of them.
She didn't know what the heartless were until she landed in Traverse Town and overheard the townspeople's gossip about the monsters. Upon finding out what they were, she was determined to help fight the monsters.
Eventually, she saw nobodies and heard of Organization XIII and about a keyblade bearer who was fighting them and the heartless. She hadn't even realized that she forgot her own birthday and at that time she was 16 until a few weeks after it occurred.
After about half a year later, word got around the organization was defeated by the keyblade bearer.
This is now the time Moriko lives in.
