Character History
--------------------------------------
In the town of Kolero, the name Valemont eminated with prestige. The family name was held high, some could say each family member were on pedestals. Each member acted very prominent and prude. However amongst these was a rebel by the name of Ryudo. He hardly acted as if he were a member of the family, a black sheep of sorts.
Ryudo could never understand his family, nor could he understand why anyone would want to act like them. Having been born with a silver spoon in his mouth was not the lifestyle he wanted. His peers often thought of him as privileged, which led them to believe he got by merely because of his last name. Being picked on day after day forced him to take martial arts classes, however his family wouldn't allow him to partake in classes which others were undergoing, so they enlisted the help of specialists. He passed through each lesson flawlessly, and upon completing one, he would move onto the next.
Although he prided himself in his work, this led others to even further believe he was privileged. one day whilst he was readying his supplies at school, several jocks approached him in hopes of riling him up. This was disallowed, one lunged in toward his back on his right side, he spun around and used their momentum to force them into the lockers, he then held onto their chest whilst kicking at ones head, grabbing onto it and allowed him to fall to the ground. He didn't intend on hurting them, he merely meant to scare them away, however the third jockey attempted to bring out a knife, until Ryudo grabbed his arm and forced him into the lockers, then elbowed him in the back of the neck, which paralyzed him. Needless to say he was expelled from school that day.
After such a fiasco, his family was sued, which netted a spot them toward the bottom of the ladder. This couldn't have been more of a break for Ryudo, judging that he wanted nothing more than to be normal. Although he was frowned upon by his mother and father, he didn't put too much thought into it. In fact, Ryudo had contemplated on whether or not he should stay with his family. The deciding factor was up to him, although he hadn't a move planned out afterward, he would do anything to get out.
Days before transferring to another school, he decided to pack some of his things. Upon further investigation of his household, he came upon a door that was hidden within a crease in the wall of his room. The room contained nothing but gathered dust upon first gaze, however when Ryudo took a look back he noticed something in particular laying on the ground. He grabbed it and blew some of the dust off, to discover it was a rod of some sort. Noticing a jewel embedded in it, he rubbed it and noticed that it glowed an eerie red, afterward the entire rod began to glow the same color, which led to his clothing doing the same.
Ryudo had passed out due to what he had seen, upon awakening he noticed the rod was in his hand, and took note of his surroundings. It seemed as if he were dumped off in the alleyway downtown, so he decided to get up and find his way back home. After walking a bit he couldn't seem to remember any of what he had seen. Ryudo swore he was in a different city, after walking a bit he found the entrance to the city, and stepped down the stairs only to come to the conclusion that he must've been dreaming. Several stares found their way toward the rod of which he carried around, obviously they didn't see that kind of thing everyday.
He sat down at a nearby table and decided to better understand his situation. He noticed some of the locals giving him odd gazes, however he began to converse with them to affix his situation. From what he heard he was in a place called Traverse Town, but how he had gotten there, he had no idea. Maybe since he had rubbed the jewel that was on his rod, he could get home, since doing it before got him here in the first place. Deciding that he would continue with rubbing it, a dark cloud appeared in the middle of the town, and out from it erupted several black creatures which were no bigger than a computer monitor.
They immediately ran toward him as if they were sent there. Everyone else fleed in a panic, however he decided to try and attack them with the rod, physical attacks did nothing, it was as if the rod went through them. He began to transport himself back to his own world when several streams of light shot out toward each creatures chest, causing them to dissipate entirely. Each civilian began clapping for him immediately following the incident. Ryudo figured he was a hero, and realizing this, he couldn't find one reason as to why he would need to go back to his own world.
Although it may be a bit to take in, he did enjoy the idea of him being a hero more than needing to fit in with society. He was rather confused at the monsters which had just appeared there, and was sure that wouldn't be the end of it. However, he had to further research why the monsters directly went for him, it could be the weapon that he carried, as unique as it was. Ryudo would protect the weapon from getting into the wrong hands, as well as the citizens of Traverse Town from now on.
