Foul mouthed and constantly scowling, Cid displays a tough exterior for all to see. But it can be said that this pilot's bark is worse than his bite. Cid on the other hand, claims that they're equally horrible. In other words, don't try to agitate the man. But to a few, if can be confirmed that that the blond can be caring and kind. Cid possessed a good heart, and no matter how vulgar he can be, the man knows the difference between right and wrong, and can be sensitive too... if he wants to.

Having a short fuse and a sharp tongue, Cid can be annoyed easily. He especially hates the term 'old man', which was quite often used on him. He was only 32 years old. Still young and supple. There is no reason to call him an old man. His language can burn ears off and cause sailors to tremble, but recently, the Pilot had tried to tone down on his brash words. Unless you seriously upset him. Then feel the wrath.

Possibly because of his maturity, or sometimes lack of it, Cid has a certain sense of duty to him. One can see that the man is a responsible person, often taking up the job of leader and making the smart decision for the group. He cherishes his friends, and is willing to give his life at the drop of a pin. They just don't know that, and he is glad about it.

A veteran in battles, Cid now prefers to stay away from brawls and fighting, using his homemade spear only on heartless. Occasionally though, if the event calls for it, Cid is willing to knock some sense into the moron that dares ignite him. Never a strategist, Cid utilizes the element of surprise by charging headlong into a battle. Stubborn and never hesitant, the man knows nothing of caution, using pure strength and fueled anger. Surprisingly, this method of fighting had gotten him this far, and with not even a scar to brag about.

Being the logical man that he was, Cid prefers science over magic. A genius with mechanics, he is the person to go to when assistance is needed for gummi ships or other machines. Cid is passionate about flying, and the only time he ever willingly show affection and sweet talk is when discussions turn to flying or gummi ships. He can be easily upset if he finds a gummi ship battered, rammed, and hopelessly beyond repair, especially if he was the one who built it. Usually, that person never see their gummi ship again, and is booted out Cid's door.

Weapon Appearance: Cid wields a homemade spear, but does not pull it out often. He preferred to work behind the scene, helping through science or technology, but when pushed to the limit, he could be deadly with the spear.

Abilities:

Mechanic- Cid is a master with gummi ships, gummi blocks, etc. He also has skills with computers and various machineries.

Spear Wielding- Cid uses a long spear that is used for fighting heartlesses or in critical conditions.

Dragon Song-With a few personally-made modifications to his spear using his high-level engineering ability, Cid Highwind is capable of using this special attack. By spinning his spear in front of him at a rapid pace and creating a circular pattern in the air, the spear's modifications activate from the intake of air. The weapon shoots out a powerful and constant series of sounds in a whirlwind-like pattern from the spinning weapon, strong enough to create visible distortions in the air. The act of spinning the spear in order to produce this effect allows Cid to protect himself with a rotating shield as it is performed.

The enclosed whirlwind shape of the sound waves prevents nearby allies from being affected by this attack unless they accidentally wander within it's area of effect. Inside of the attack's influence there are numerous pitches that sound like terrible screeching noises. The screeching attacks a living thing's sense of hearing to cause large amounts of pain and discomfort, as well as a severe loss of concentration and equilibrium, literally throwing them into a violent wind tunnel of sound.

The modifications made to the spear he built from scratch include the ability to release these noises from a wide array of pitches. This allows the Dragon Song attack to be simultaneously effective against humans, dogs, and everything above and below. If you can hear, then chances are this ability will have power over you. Because of the vibrations caused by this whirlwind of sound, constant exposure to the attack over several turns becomes highly damaging to the body as well as to inanimate structures. This ability could be used from far-ranged as well as close-ranged. As long as the target could hear, it would affect them, but it is much more effective if Cid was close to the target.


Additional Abilities:

Scattering Bomb: Another ability born of Cid's technical expertise, the mechanic has invented a type of hand grenade to help him out if ever he was in a tight pinch and ganged up on by more Heartless than he could handle.

Taking on the appearance of a metallic, rectangular device rather than an ordinary grenade, the Scattering Bomb has two buttons on it's surface. After the red one is pressed the weapon's special effect is armed and it can be thrown at a target. Generally Cid doesn't press it until right as he's about to release it. This is because only a short moment of time after being armed the bomb seems to burst apart in mid-air into exactly fifteen pieces that scatter over the general area it was thrown at. Each piece, however, is it's own weapon that releases a small concussive explosion after a short amount of time. If something were to be caught between multiple blasts it would suffer additional damage from the opposing forces clashing together on it's form.

Alternatively, Cid can press the blue button to arm it normally and toss the bomb without it segmenting in the air. This feature is for times when more accuracy or a single more powerful concussive blast is necessary.

Cid carries these bombs on a belt hidden beneath his orange waist cover. He has enough room under there to carry six at a time without them standing out or weighing him down too much.

Cid was born and raised in the world of Radiant Garden, later known as Hollow Bastion. As a child, he found passion in machinery, and a newly discovered technology, the gummi ship. Cid spent his childhood learning about the fascinating vehicle and yearned to travel in the gummi ship, to be the first man out in space. As he grew older, he became a gummi ship mechanic, and worked towards building a gummi ship capable of traveling to other worlds.

Often times, Cid gets into arguments with his costumers, but it was during one of these arguments, Cid met Shera, a scientist for a large company. Now Cid has to share his love for both the gummi ship and Shera.

On the day the heartlesses attacked, Cid was working on a gummi ship. When he heard screams coming from outside his shop, he went outside to see what was wrong. He was greeted with the scene of thousands of heartlesses crawling out of the ground and attacking people. He grabbed his spear and tried the best to exterminate the heartlesses. He found that it was useless, and ran back to his shop. Remembering that Shera was still out there in the mess and helpless, he started panicking.

There was no way to get out of the shop since it was surrounded by a swarming mass of heartless, blocking his escape.

He realized that he could escape with one of the gummi ships he had in his shop, and though it pained him to leave Shera behind he got ready to leave. He returned to his shop to grab some supplies and found three kids hiding in the shop: Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith. He took the kids with him and they escaped, watching their world crumble behind them.

Cid landed in Traverse Town, a place for those who had lost their home to the darkness. There, Cid started a shop, selling supplies to the refugees, and helping people settle in. Along with Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith, he helped Sora with the heartlesses, finally accepting the fact that Shera was gone.

Cid later gave up his job in the store, and went back to following his dreams and selling gummi parts again. After Sora locked up the worlds, Cid moved back to Hollow Bastion with Leon, and the others. There they started up the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee, where Cid worked as the man behind the scene, working the machinery. He operates a giant computer from Merlin’s house, and often squabbles with the magician, seeing that he preferred science over magic.

Faelin has a short temper, is impatient, temperamental, rough around the edges, but is considerate…sometimes. She is vain, and anything but humble, but is strangely, a silent gloater, usually fighting her battles in silence, and smiling that annoying, vain smile in the defeated’s face afterwards. The kind of smile that makes you feel like an even bigger loser.

She does have a soft-side to her though, and she often sticks up for the underlings, or the weaker ones, teaching them how to defend themselves. She has a deep hatred for those who does not see family as an important part of life, often telling them that they shouldn’t take their family for granted after beating the crap out of them, and an unusual weakness for sweets, which brings out a whole other more tender side of her.

Fae is the calm one in tight situations, but also highly independent, not wanting to depend on anyone or wanting anyone to depend on her. She hates worrying others, and often bottles her real feelings and thoughts inside, hiding them with mood swings and insults.

Character's Appearance:

Standing at the height of 5ft 5, Faelin has a messy head full of layered black hair, or violet depending on the lighting, that reaches down to her shoulders. She possessed bangs covering her right eye, leaving only one stormy blue-gray eye that often glares daggers at anyone who dare approach her.

At the base of her neck sits a black spiked dog-collar that acts as both an accessory and a neck armor for the ex-assassin. Donning a simple white vest-hoodie and black pants with weightless boots, Fae's clothing were created for speed, and agility, allowing her easy maneuvering. On her right leg is a strange contraption made of belts and leather. It straps onto the girl's leg from knee to ankle. The contraption was originally created to hold spare daggers, but it now empty of the weapons, serving only as decoration.

Faelin has detachable sleeves that are tied to her wrists with red ribbons and her vest is decorated with a crescent moon symbol on her chest on the left side and a sun on the lower right corner.

Soleil and Lune

Weapon Appearance:

Twin swords, Soleil and Lune. Soleil is constantly shining and looks like it is burning the wielder, Fae’s right hand sword. Lune is Fae’s left hand sword and is a darker sword; the blade is dulled and dark when compared to Soleil.

The two swords are short, no longer than Fae’s arm, and effective by itself or used together. When she is not fighting, her swords are strapped to her back by two huge belts, ready to be pulled out whenever she wants.

Abilities:

Swordplay: Simple swordplay involving both Soleil and Lune.

Heaven’s Inferno: This attack is based on Fae’s right hand sword, Soleil. Slamming it into the ground, Fae could create blinding light that blinds and burn multiple attackers.

Shadows in the Mirror: Used by Fae’s left hand sword, Lune, this is a dark based attack. Mostly, this attack is used to trick one’s eyes, creating multiple reflecting shadows of the target, causing confusion, and giving Fae a chance to attack the target(s). This attack can only duplicate one target at a time though.

Fae came from the world of Killan. She was born in the east, Emine, one of the poorest parts of Killan. Growing up, Fae was raised not by her parents, but by her older brother, a poor candy vendor in the capital city of Emine. Naturally, a living place swarmed with pirates, cutthroats, thieves, and murders was not the best home for children, but it was impossible for Fae and her brother to move to a better condition because of lack of money, and in Emine, once you were born in slums, you stay in the slums.

Fae developed a fear of water at the small age of ten, after being dunked in a nearby water barrel by thugs who were robbing her brother’s stand. After that, she kept away from rivers and any large body of waters, too scared to even come within feet of it.

Fae’s brother was a kind man, who tried his best to make life easy for Fae, but kindness was not the most helpful virtue when trying to survive in harsh conditions. The siblings were robbed multiple times, threatened, until finally one day, Fae’s brother did not return from his daily trip to the city. Fae was 12 on that unforgettable day.

Faelin was left to fend for herself from that day on, stealing and hiding, and developing most of her characteristics, until two years later, she was picked up by the local lord, caught red-handed trying to steal the silver wheels of the Lord’s horse carriage.

The lord did not punish her, but instead put her in a prim, all girls’ school after seeing much potential in her. There, Fae wreaked havoc, scaring girls, bullying the teachers; stealing candy (“Rots the teeth, body, and brain!” The headmistress always chortled, snorting wildly like an angry bull) but always sticking up for the younger, weaker ones of the school.

After getting fed up with the school, Fae escaped, taking with her two swords stolen from the common room of school, the school’s pride and joy. She was originally going to sell them, but when she discovered that her swords can talk back to her, she decided to keep them, and uncover their secrets herself. Soleil and Lune soon became her only trustworthy companions, causing her to slowly close herself from any outside contact.

Soon Killan found itself locked tight in a civil war between East and South. Faelin took the opportunity to join the intelligence division of the Emine Resistance (ER) and was soon promoted to sub captain of a team of assassins for the ER.

But the civil war of Emine and Silla never played itself out, for one year after the war started; a hole was discovered in the skies of Killan, swallowing everything underneath it into oblivion. Fae woke up to a completely new surrounding, swarming with unusual dark creatures with yellow eyes.

Faelin soon adjusted to her new environment, and after gathering information from a certain gruff shop owner, she set out to explore this new world called Traverse Town. After much wondering, Fae found this new world much more suitable to her taste, and after learning that there were more worlds out there to explore, set out with a gummi ship, with only her two talking swords as companions.

Always docile and gentle, Damon is kind to a fault, caring, and considerate. As an optimist, he does not question other’s actions or motives, and is always ready to lend a hand. Tolerance is also another skill Damon had achieved and toned to perfection over his twenty six years of life. He’s not prone to anger, tries to keep himself away from trouble and fighting, claiming himself too weak to pick fights with others.

But due to an unfortunate event that completely altered the man physically and mentally, Damon had became twisted and tangled inside. A peaceful man filled with rage and violent, He often found himself in a dilemma between doing what is right and doing what he wants, which in turned made him into a self conscious man with a fear of getting too attached to others. Strong in strength and appearance, at times, Damon could be weak in mind, making him seem unbelievably vulnerable at times. In the end though his sunny cover-up always managed to distract others from seeing that weakness.

Character's Appearance:

Damon was born with shiny raven hair and deep forest green eyes and tall in stature as he grew up. He had always been slender but never seemed to be able to gain much muscle, creating a lanky spidery look, though not a bit awkward in movements, and pleasant to the eyes. It wasn’t until the daily injections from the Soldier program did Damon really change in appearance.

Now Damon sports an unruly mess of shoulder length white hair, often with stray strands in his face and poking him in the eyes. Black rimmed glasses hid his intelligent ash-grey eyes, sparkling hypnotically with something dark tucked in deeper. He has an aura of innocence around him, noticeably muscular, yet elegant and about 6ft 3. He always has a smile on his face, though at times, he can seem like a cobra waiting to strike. Damon possessed a soothing, rich chocolate voice that’s uplifting and bright. He usually wears a large beige cloak that covers his figure and his face. On the inside he wears a white old fashioned shirt and vest, and brown trousers with black shoes.

Sinful Pleasure

Weapon Appearance:

Sinful Pleasure takes on a non-aggressive appearance of a long black walking stick about Damon’s height. Made of heavy black marble with the natural look of bits of twinkling minerals tucked into the stick, it fits comfortably into Damon’s hands with a durable metal finish on its bottom tip. Used as a walking stick and a whacker, it can give quite a bruise and even break bones if need be.

And, quite similar to its master, Sinful Pleasure has a small twist. It hides a much darker side and history to it. Its true nature appears when activated with a single command from the wielder. It simply turns into a thin long blade, capable of cutting though flesh and bone, designed solely for killing only.

Abilities:

Enhancements: Due to the amount of ‘steroid like’ injections he had received during the Soldier Program, Damon now had enhanced power, speed and sense.

Battlefield Combat: The Soldier Program was solely organized for creating perfect soldiers that enjoy killing. Trained to kill with ease and swiftness, Damon is skilled with Sinful Pleasure as a blade and as a staff. He could also do hand to hand combat.

Razor Turbulence: Waving Sinful Pleasure in its sharpened mode, Damon can create knifelike bursts of wind that could cut through almost anything.

She was the ugliest thing he has ever set eyes on. But his mother seemed pretty satisfied with the bloody little thing, so naturally, he kept his mouth shut like the good little boy he was. The baby wouldn’t stop bawling, and it hurt the little nine-year old’s ears, but still he kept his smile on, blinking at the little naked rat.

She was much cuter after they washed all the blood off her. She had a little tuff of dark hair on her forehead, and her miniscule fingers grasp tightly onto anything they can reach. His mother wanted to name her Faelin. He, on the other hand wanted to name her Bazooka. In the end, they went with Faelin.

He got use to her after a few months, even adored her, treating her like a princess. He did ask for a little sibling. But she couldn’t play hide-and-seek with her, and she wouldn’t answer back when he told her his secrets. His mother told him to be patient, but he would sometimes take her out of her crib and try to make her walk, or poked her until her face turned bright red with annoyance, and her little mouth opened to scream her upset to the high heavens. She was like an emergency siren, alerting his mother that she was not happy with the way he was treating her at the moment.

He was thirteen and Faelin was four when his mother asked him to take care of her, and that she’ll be back soon. Off she went, and never did she set foot into the house again.

He was all alone. Alone with Faelin. Surviving in the slums of Erria was not a simple thing, even for an adult, let alone a child. He would wander the streets, looking here and there for something to satisfy little Faelin, his own stomach constantly complaining and starving for food. No one was nice enough to take them in. To those watching, Faelin and he were just another two of the hundreds sitting at the corners of the streets, hiding in the shadows of the alleys. They called them alley-children, or fading-shadows. Whichever you prefer.

His personality was a bit too bright for the dark alleys of Erria, some of which have never seen the sun before. But being the stubborn little thing he was, the fourteen year old never gave up. All he needed was a little money, and he could support his little princess.

Candy. Easy to get, easy to sell. Everyone loves candy. And it was the solution to his problems. And so, with a dusty tattered blanket, he set up his own miniature stand along side the open markets of Erria, selling bags of candy to all those who passed by. He was the market’s own fifteen year old business man…or boy. The alley-children were always staring at him from the shadows, their beady little eyes resting on his bags of candy. Being the kind-hearted fool he was, he gave them the left over bags from his daily sales. Not like he doesn’t have enough problems of his own.

How many times can one be robbed over seven years? He had lost count by then. One would think, that by the time he was twenty-two, he could have had enough money to get himself and his twelve year old sister out of this place. But in Erria once you’re born in the slums you stay in the slums. By then, his patience was slowly wearing thin, but he continued on. Anything for his little princess.

He told her to stay in the alley, where she should be safe. He told her that he would come back as soon as he finished for the day. He told her that it would be quick. And like his mother nine years before, he did not return. The apple never does fall far from the tree.
The first thing he could think of as he slowly regained his consciousness was that the customer forgot to pay for his two bags of candies. He opened his eyes and found jeering men above him, crooked teeth, greedy eyes, oily hair. He had been kidnapped. But why? He had no money, he had no valuables. There’s nothing worth stealing from him, except for his candies and…his dear little sister.

Girls were expensive items in Emine. They can fetch plenty of money and here he had with him, a small girl of twelve, still fresh, still new and quite pretty. He had a valuable item with him. One that could fetch these gentlemen plenty of money.

They wanted to know where she was. He refused to talk. Interrogation+refusal=lots of pain. Simple math, no? He couldn’t stand it anymore. It was there, just in front of him. That sharp tool that glittered in front of his face, beckoning him…

He had never seen this much blood before. It scared him, but he had never felt better. He loved it, yet was horrified by it at the same time. He hated the smell, metallic and sickening, but he loved the sight, the lush red crimson that seemed to transform the whole room. A whole new coat of paint. How nice of him.

By morning, the paint had dried into a dark red. His clothes were the same color, and had stiffened. He didn’t sleep the whole night, but instead, spent the night admiring with revulsion and delight at the newly renovated shack before him. Someone came in. He looked up, dark circled under his eyes, and his face splattered red. The person came over. He wanted to tell him to go away, but something hard hit him in the head, and off to dreamland he went.

He woke up to something cold underneath him, his body warmed from the nightmares. It was way too bright for his eyes so he kept them shut. Something jabbed him in the arm, and his body slowly shut down, refusing to function.

The men in the white coats and clipboards, they told him that his new name was number 7. He never forgot his old name though. They told him that he was being taken cared of, they told him that he was here because he was special. He asked them for Faelin. They just stared and scribbled on their clipboards, then shook their heads, refusing to answer. Soon, he forgot why he always asked for Faelin, who was this person anyways?

They jab needles into him, and told him that it would make him feel better. At first, he squirmed and wiggled, a bit scared of the pointed metals injecting into his skin. But after awhile, he got used to it. It gives him a woozy feeling in the head, and for moments, he would even forget his name. His real name. He’ll remember it, always.

They gave him a black stick, those men in white coats. He stared at it and asked them what it was. They told him that it was his weapon, Sinful Pleasure. What can he do with a stick? They told him to call on it, he called on it, and it still didn’t look sharp. He waved it, and off came one of the man’s arm.

They told him that with Sinful Pleasure, he must do his rightful duty. He must do what he was here for. He must kill. He didn’t want to kill, he didn’t like it. And he told them. They just shook their heads, and scribbled some more on their clipboard, and injected something in him. He liked killing. He liked the smell of the blood now, he liked the crunch of bones when he sliced through them, he liked their strangled screams and their twisted bodies. What he liked most was the silence afterwards. When there’s nothing left, no whimpering, no screaming, no pleading.

They gave him more injections everyday, and soon, all the color drained from his hair, from dark black to snow white. His eyes turned from forest green to light ash-gray. He got taller, he got stronger, he got leaner, and he got emptier.

There were ten others, all with white hair and ash gray eyes. They were always around him, but he had never felt so alone before. The white coat men stabbed more of the needles into him. Killing, killing, killing, blood, blood, blood.

They put him into a white room with no windows and they locked the door. But he wanted to keep killing. Upset. Unhappiness. He pounded on the door. He wanted out. Out, out, out! So he could kill. Kill, kill, kill! They shook their heads, they told him no. They stopped stabbing him with needles. They kept away from him. He couldn’t move, he was weak. The room blinds him, but he couldn’t sleep. He was alone.

A nervous, mumbling man walked in. He was balding, and in his shaking hands, a gun. He turned to look at him, warily, too weak to move. The mumbling man talked to himself, told himself that the program had failed, that people are after them, that they need to erase any evidence of these ‘super soldiers’. Holding the silver weapon up, the nervous, mumbling man pointed the barrel at his forehead. He must erase all evidence.

He blinked then a pale hand shot up and grabbed the bald man’s quivering hands. Twist, snap, scream. Stepping up from the white bed, he looked down at the squirming bald man, holding his weirdly angled hand. With a look of disgust, he stepped on the man’s stomach and pressed down. Soon there was no more screaming, no more whimpering, all was silent, until a series of gun shots went off across the building. Then all was silent again.

He walked out of the room, the first taste of freedom in months. Walking along the empty corridor, he looked in each room to find men with white hair, and a bullet hole in their forehead. They were to be exterminated.

Walking out of the building with Sinful Pleasure and a new set of clothes, he blinked at the bright sunlight, almost too bright for him, but did not complain. He was never one to complain easily.

He remembered the old routines of living on the streets, he remembered that he sold candy, but something always seemed to be missing when he drifted back to his past memories. He just could not pin a finger on it, so he shook it off. He walked the streets of Emine, just wandering. His purpose was to kill, but now that he was free, he had also lost that purpose. And so, the man with no purpose walked the streets, hidden in a beige cloak with only his black walking stick.

The first time he ever saw the black creatures was when he was twenty six. It watched him with its beady yellow eyes, cocking its head in a cute way. He stared back, smiling. He had never seen an animal of its like. It jiggled a bit then jumped at him, waving its claws in the air. He easily whacked it aside, frowning. It disappeared into the ground, and he could see the shadow move towards him. Stepping back, he found more, heading for his way.

They were easy to kill, but there are different kinds of them. Some big, some small, some fat, some skinny, some could fly, some could spit fire. They came in all sorts of different shapes and sizes, like an assortment of candies in a bag. They stole people’s hearts, and so they called them the heart monsters(Apparently no one could come up with a more creative name). Once your heart gets stolen, you disappear in a black mist.

Everyone tried to get rid of them, but they kept coming, like a swarm of ants. They came out of a hole in the sky. Yes, the world of Killan was slowly deteriorating until one day, the hole engulfed the land and everything along with it. There was nothing left of Killan.

He woke up in a strange town with strange artificial lights and yellow beady eyes watching him. Sinful Pleasure lay next to him, dark as ever, yet glittering slightly. It was easy to find his way around. Gathering information was easy too. Traverse Town, heartless, and gummi ships. It was truly a whole different world.

Now instead of wandering the world of Killan, Damon wanders from world to world with no specific objective, in hopes of maybe cleansing himself of his past mistakes and finding redemption.
