Battle Information

Weapon Name: The Tome
Weapon Appearance: The sacred weapon of the world Reality, the Tome appeared to be nothing more than an ancient copy of the book "Rose Daughter." Upon arrival in Traverse Town, Amera found that her library book was actually a weapon of great power: it is a book that concealed its true powers until Amera brought it with her through the portal that took her away from her dying home. In worlds other than Reality, it has a faded leather binding and a strange symbol on the cover. Its pages are parchment, and when Amera requires aid she simply opens to a random page, and the Tome guides her actions. Its abilities include size changing and information retrieval. The Tome has also granted Amera with visions of the past and future, and when paired with her imagination it can alter the surrounding area, and the ability to summon... that is, if both Amera and itself can agree on what to summon. Its weakness? The Tome has a mind of its own, and while it would never turn on its wielder, it can put her into some sticky situations.
Abilities:
Turn of Page: Essentially, this ability is Amera’s ultimate power. It allows her to harness the powers of the Tome to change her form and abilities.
Illumination: A beam of light bursts forth from the pages of the Tome; and attack ability.
Sanctuary: Less of an ability and more of a power of the Tome’s, Sanctuary allows Amera to enter its pages and explore the information within.

Character History
--------------------------------------
Amera never felt that she fit in in her world of Reality. As she grew up and faced the cold indifference of her world, she found solace in books. This, in fact, was what got her into trouble. Only two days before her world was pulled into darkness by the Heartless, she checked out one of her favorite books from the local library. When the Heartless came, she used the book to defend herself, and it led her to the heart of the city where her shadow awaited to take her through the portal and into the worlds beyond.

"Don't be afraid," echoed the voice.
I'm not, Amera thought as she drifted through darkness, clutching the library book against her chest.
"There are many worlds, but they share the same sky- one sky, one destiny," whispered the voice.
One sky... one destiny...
------
"Hey, wake up!" A small squeaky voice, quite unlike the one that had been with Amera before, broke through the darkness. "Wake up!" Something soft poked her in the side.
Amera moaned as she regained conciousness, and her senses came back to her.
She was laying on her back on something hard, and all she could see when she first opened her eyes was a sky full of stars. She gasped: she had never seen the stars so clearly before in her life. In New York, they had been no more than dim reminders of the heavens around her. Here, they looked like diamonds in a velvet sky.
"You're awake!" squeaked the voice.
Amera turned to look at what had awoken her and screamed. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before: small and pink, with a red ball on an antenna on top of its head and red wings on its back. It looked like some kind of teddy bear, and here it was smiling up at her. "Finally. I've been trying to wake you up since you appeared."
"Are you a B.L.I.T. (what the Heartless were called in Reality)?" Amera demanded, tightening her grip on the library book.
"What's a B.L.I.T.?" asked the pink thing. "I'm a Moogle, and this," it indicated to the area around them, "is Traverse Town."
"Traverse Town?" Amera looked around the strange town in which she stood. From what she could see, it was an unusual place: the architecture seemed more whimsical than purposeful, there was not a single car in sight, and the people that walked around were dressed quite strangely. In any case, it definitely wasn't a part of New York. "Um, Moogle thing, do you know how I can get back to New York City?"
The Moogle looked at her strangely. "New York City? Never heard of it. And my name is Mogosto."
Amera blinked at the Moogle, not believing her ears. "What do you mean, you've never heard of New York City?"
"I've never heard of it!" declared Mogosto. "Welcome to Traverse Town." With that he walked away, leaving Amera sitting on the cobblestone street alone.
For a few minutes, Amera could not even bring herself to stand as she thought about what had happened. She had been running from the Blits... right? Yes. The B.L.I.T.s, the so-called perfect pets created by scientists in a New York City laboratory... She had been running towards the hospital. And then that enormous shadow, her dark doppleganger, had given her light, and she had stepped through the swirling darkness into... what?
"Traverse Town," Amera said quietly to herself, testing the sound of it on her tongue. She looked back up into the beautiful night sky. "I'm in Traverse Town."
