History:
Karel was born in a world where the normal, general citizens had no powers. Karel was born as a low-class citizens, which was not bad for him. In truth, there was no difference between the lower classes to the higher-classes when it came to income. They were separated because the higher classes were about to learn magic, but only a few of them. This was a rule that was set up by their king at the time, to prevent any powerful being to up rise against the kingdom.
The personal, loyal guards of the king and a few sorcerers were the only beings that could learn all the magic that they please. Of course, this was too far advance information for Karel at his age. He was just a mere kid when he had learned of this information, and he had no thought of learning any kind of magic: All he wanted to do was just act like a kid.
His life was pretty normal for a kid living in his time. His family took good care of them, and he had good friends at his side. His father, being a soldier of the military, taught him how to use a weapon for self-defense. As a 'recognition', he was given a chunky piece of wood, resembling a sword. He carried it everywhere he went to.
One day, with his sword at his side, along with some of his friends, Karel went out of the city gates, to explore the surrounding area. The city was surrounded by a forest, but it was on constant watch by other guards from the king. As they explored the forest, they spotted something...unusual. They saw an oddly shaped ship that looked nothing that they had ever seen. The colors of this ‘ship’ were a mix of bright and dark colors, and a strange-dome on the middle of it.
Karel and his friends spread the word of this strange ship, and it soon got the attention of the king. The entire population looked to be at the 'crash site' of this strange ship. But as they began to question where this thing came from, the king's sourcers arrived. With their magic, they transported the ship to 'the void'. The general public, satisfied with the answer, left the forest and went back to the city.
However, Karel was far too interested in this new ship to be put off like that so easily....There had to be more than to this ship...
Some years later...
Karel was know at the age of 12, and he was wandering in the streets at the night. He had to get home before his parents had figured out what he has been doing, which was trying to find some answers about that ship still. Karel was so obsessed about the event years ago, that he hadn't let it go. Even his friends were slightly concerned about him...
As he ventured into the night, Karel had spotted a shadowy figure pass by in a corner alley. Obviously, he was afraid of this....yet, something inside his heart stirred him to figure out what was that shadow. It was the possibility of 'excitement' or curiosity. Either way, Karel followed the shadowy figure.
The strange looking- shadow was stuck in a dead-end and turned to Karel, who just so happens to be some feet away from the creature. When he saw that the creature had turned to face him, Karel froze in place. The thing looked like it had come from some other planet....but that was impossible. The teachers and everyone else told him that there is no such thing as other planets, or other life-forms out there....but how could he explain this? He surely had never seen this creature before, and it looked like no ordinary animal.
The creature turned out to be a heartless, which, for some reason, let Karel go as it stepped into the darker shadows of the alley. Just as a small sense of relief came from Karel, he saw multiple yellow eyes popping around him in the alley. More and more of these creatures were coming now, and he had no chance of defending himself. So, Karel ran for his life. The creature chased after him, although keep up with Karel's speed. Before he knew it, Karel was in the 'safety' of his home, and his heart-beat was out of tune.
There was something going on in this city...something that the sorcerers couldn't even notice. Only he knew about those creatures...or so he thought.
The next day, a group of people were standing in the middle of the market place, where they had a local meeting. Apparently, there were more sightings of those black creatures in other people's homes, and some citizens were gone as well. Now with his interest at his peak, Karel had decided to figure out what those black creatures were. So, that same day, in the middle of the night, he came to the same alley where he first saw the creature.
As he expected, the same creature came to the alley-way. Although, there was another figure with the heartless...a human figure. Karel could not see the person's face, as it was covered under his hair and the fact that it was night. The appearance of the man certainly made Karel afraid to almost run. However, as he was about to take a step, the man raised his hand, telling Karel to halt, which he did.
The man was silent, and finally, he spoke. His voice had a chilly tone to it as mumbled a few words.
'You shall be liberated from this prison.....'
That was the man said. As he finished his sentence, the man's hand suddenly began to glow dark, which frightened Karel. Suddenly, he felt something grab his feet, and to his disbelief, he saw the shadow creatures grabbing a hold of his feet from under. Other creatures came and grabbed his arms, and made him trip, pinning him to the ground. Karel tried to scream, but his voice had seemed to be muffled from a sudden dark wall that was beginning to surround him.
Suddenly, flashes of places that Karel had never seen before in his life began to run in his mind. Some places looked like it could never come from this world. At the end, he saw his own world, with the black creatures covering the city. And he saw his own figure, standing in the middle of them. However, there was something....different about him....
The vision stopped and the blackened wall disappeared around him. The man was still in front of Karel, which was completely speechless, and almost on the verge of tears. The man waited for a little bit, then spoke up.
'When the time is right....you shall be liberated....' The man walked away from Karel. Karel was still in too much shock with what he saw, to even see the man walk away. However, he did hear what the man said....
He had woke up and found out that he was in his own bed, and nothing seem to be wrong with him. Maybe it was just a nightmare. Karel walked down-stairs, to see that his parents were with some guards of the palace. Karel was confused with the sight, and asked his parents what the guards were doing here.
However, he didn't get his answer as the guards took him by the arm and just said that he as going to the palace. Karel tried to rebel, but to no avail. His parents were obviously hesitant, but there was very little that they could do for Karel in these conditions. The guards carried him away from his home, and into the palace walls.
There, Karel was questioned about a certain event. They said that a man saw him lying on the alley way, with a strange mark on his fore-arm. It was an emblem of a heart, with a mixture of purple, black, red, and mostly black. Karel denied every question about the 'event' that happened in the alley, which only ended up getting him into trouble. The guards eventually got sick of him and threw him in his own cell, as punishment.
Days passed, and Karel refused to tell them anything. They tortured him by not giving him any food or water for days and days on end. Days eventually turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. In no time, Karel had found himself staying in prison for a couple of years, and he was now around 15 or 16.
During his time in 'jail', Karel could only think of what that man said to him, and what the other events before him could mean. It was the only thing that he could ever think about, actually. He had eventually tricked himself into believing that there were indeed other worlds out there, and once he got out of this place, he would explore him. No matter what it took, he would find a way to get to other worlds.....Not only did this dream ran in his mind, Karel also thought of how these people had imprisoned him for so long. If he ever got a chance to get a hold of one of the guards, then he probably would have gotten rid of him. It was not fair that he was stuck in this cell for so long…even if he wasn’t telling the truth to them…
Then, one day, a commotion was buzzing around the palace. Even the guards were screaming. Something terrible must have been happening out there. Obviously, Karel was afraid too. If those guards had the freedom to move out of this castle, and didn't; what chance did he have of escaping from a jail cell?
Finally, a door opened to where his jail room was. Karel prepared for the worst as he took a breath of air. Who he saw was completely unexpected. He saw the man that was in the alley way a couple of years ago. The man didn't change that much either: He looked exactly the same as he did that time when he first met him.
The man walked up to Karel and rolled up one of the long sleeves. To Karel's own surprise, he saw the emblem with his own eyes for the first time. The man just nodded his head as he mumbled that he was ready. The man walked away as he continued to go on his path, whichever that was.
Karel, meanwhile, decided to get out of the castle now and go back to his home. However, he was greeted with a very unexpecting site. He saw the black creatures, along with other similar to it, roaming the streets. There was not one person in sight. And, what was even more strange, these creatures were not attacking him as Karel walked pass them.
When Karel arrived at his house, he found that no one was in the house. He shouted out, but no one responded. Now, he was worried about them. But as he was about to leave his house, the same man appeared before him.
The man made a blunt, straight-forward offer to Karel.
'Leave this place, and serve under me. You shall have power and see places beyond your imagination. Or stay here, and remain tortured by your regret....'
The offer was too good to be true. Being able to escape that jail cell, and explore other worlds...that was a true dream. And, for some reason, Karel had felt no....sympathy, for leaving his parents if he did this. The emblem was beginning to take its effect on his negative personality.
Karel nodded his head, agreeing to the man's offer. The man nodded his head back, and said to him,
'Here is what you need to do...'
Karel arrived at the palace again, and entered the main hall. Sorcerers of the king were in the hall, waiting for anyone to come. And, since they knew full well that Karel was suppose to be in prison, they thought that he was responsible for all these creatures being here. All of the sorcerers came out from where they were hiding, to try to attack Karel.
Karel had devious smirk on his face. The plan had worked, just like his 'master' said it would. These sorcerers came out in the open, perfect for a strike....The man appeared in front of Karel, and had easily taken out all the sorcerers that tried to attack him. Perhaps this man was speaking the truth....perhaps he should leave this world and gain his own power from him. If he was powerful enough to take out these people, then there was no telling what else he could do.
Karel and the man had gone into a room, which seem to be where the sorcerers were mostly concentrated in. Inside the room, was a book. The book was actually the tomb that contained all the magic that the sorcerers had to learn, along with what seem to be endless possibilities. The man went into the room first, and Karel just waited. A few minutes passed by, and the man walked out with the book. The man handed over the book to Karel without warning. Karel barely caught the book, as he held it by the hard back cover of the book. The man mumbled something, but Karel couldn’t hear his words correctly. Then, the man raised his tone as he said,
‘We are done here….it’s time to go…’
Karel suddenly interrupted him as he asked the man what his name was, and why he was doing this for him. The man gave him a simple answer.
‘You shall know....in due time…now let’s go…’
Karel nodded his head, not even thinking of what he was about to leave behind. And if he did, he couldn’t really care much for it. They have rejected and neglected him simply because he followed his ‘obsession’. If he did regret one thing, though, it would be….
A portal appeared in front of them. Karel’s eyes were in disbelief. He had never seen such a thing before, and it did sort of spook him. The man assured him as he walked into the portal himself, without any care, it seems. Karel was a little hesitant, but then another side of him suddenly took over. It was his ‘other’ personality that he had developed from the emblem and during his time in jail. This one had no absolute regrets, and just followed the man without question.
Finally, Karel was ‘liberated’….but at the price of his own world. And now, he had to serve under someone. Despite how horrible it sounds…Karel had found it comfortable. Perhaps he could surpass the sorcerers here and go even further…but that was far in the future…
It has been some years since Karel had abandoned his own world. He is now current age of 19, and still serves for his ‘master’. The strange thing was that he still didn’t know who his master was. He didn’t even have his name. You could say that Karel had been ‘brain-washed’, but Karel like to believe it’s something else. Karel still doesn’t know what darkness is, or the fact that he is serving under it. He has learned his own powers from the book alone. And even with the book, Karel had a few abilities. Currently, Karel is separated from his master, as he had to leave for a certain reason. But Karel is now enjoying the time that he has on his hands, as he is able to explore the others worlds that he had dreamt of. He hope that one day, he could find his own world and return to it…..he was still oblivious as to why the ‘heartless’, as they were called, were in his world in the first place. Karel still had no idea that his world had been destroyed by the heartless; He thought that they were all fine and were in peace with the heartless, like he was.

Physical Features: [The appearance of the body in general. Height. Weight. Build. Etc.]
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 165 Ibs
Build: Lean
Facial Features: [In depth appearance of the face. Eyes. Mouth. Etc.]
Karel has a 'rounded' face. His eyes are a mix of dark and sky blue. Karel's hair extends to his shoulders. The front tip of his hair are a blood red color, while the rest of his hair is jet black.
Clothing:
Karel wears a brownish pants and sweater. The pants are not skin tight, but it looks like it could be at times. The Sweater, on the other hand, is baggy. He has a chain mail of sorts over his upper body, and wears armor on his lower body as well. The color of the armor is a mix of sliver and brown. He wears brown boots. Underneath his brown sweater, is a normal, white t-shirt.
The armor that Karel has on doesn't appear until he has a battle. If not, then he is usually seen with the brown pants and sweater.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles: Karel keeps a pair of glasses in his pockets, for reading. The glasses are smaller than those of usual glasses. It's an oval shape, like any normal pair. Karel also carries a small chain in his other pockets that serves as a momento.
Personality:
Resolve: Karel hopes that he could explore all the worlds, and return to his old world as the final 'world' trip. Not only that, but he hopes to obtain all the powers that the book he has, to possibly be close to his 'master's' powers.
Pursuit: Karel wants to return to his world and possibly see his own parents, to show how much he has grown. He is also in debt to his 'master', and promised him that he would fight for him so long as either one of them were alive.
Fears: Karel is afraid of death, as much as that sounds hyprocite. Even though he swore to fight to the death, he is afraid that it might actually happen to him in a certain situation. Although, he believes that when the time comes, his fear would be long gone.
Another thing that Karel is afraid of finding that his old world has been destroyed in some way. He has gotten 'home sick' so to speak.
Hopes: Karel's hopes is to return to his world after he is done with entire thing, and possibly settle there. He will still serve for his master, as long as he is alive, but he would only go out of his world when he was called on. Other than that, Karel hoped to find a peace of sorts in his world.
Hobbies: Read a book whenever he gets a chance to grab hold of one.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
Public Personality: Karel comes off as 'ignorant' when you first met him. He just had that kind of talk that sounds like he has an ego. He likes to use sacasism and other insults. Another thing that comes out is the fact that he is mellow. He doesn't like to get into fights, despite all the talk that he does. He prefers to avoid a fight as much as possible. Karel appears to be 'dumb' as well. A few long words in one sentence, and Karel will most likely be thrown off.
Private: Karel is actually a mix of kind and meaness in his private personality. It is due to the heartless mark on his his fore-arm, that makes him act a little....brash. But for the most part, Karel is respectful to the people that he has known, and even smiles. In his private personality, Karel is more knowledgeable in a 'traveler' way. He take notes in the worlds that he has gone to, which could make him consider to be a book worm. He is also quite bashful when he is talking to a woman. When his 'other' personality comes, though, he acts pretty much like he does in his public personality.

Weapon Name: Malus Staff
Weapon Description: It's about the same height as Karel is. The staff's over-all color is wooden brown. At the tip of the staff, is a small pair of wings. Around the wings are sliver rings that keep the wing at the center and based.
Unique Notes: Karel recieved this staff from his 'master'. The name of it sounds evil, but it has been stained by a bad reputation. The staff was passed down in generations, but one generation; instead of good, the owner of the staff turned bad. The owner eventually caused so much havoc in his own world, that it became to be known as the 'Malus Staff'.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Earth
Sub Abilities:
Can make a stalagmite and aim at one target
Have a small, wall barrier to protect him for one attack
Can adjust a small portion of the earth geography to his benefit (only to arm's length) Because of its size, though, Karel can keep it constant. But if he uses another ability, he ends up wasting more of his energy, leaving him vurnable. For this reason, he doesn't use it during battle.
