My computer has been 'virusized' >.> Right now, according to the little scanner thingy on the anti-virus scan: There are a total of 9 viruses in the computer. And all of them came from one website that my mom tried to download.>.> I'm guessing that the viruses are not that serious...I probably wouldn't be posting here if one of them were.  But I keep on getting this little 'warning' flash, which pops up whenever I try to load a page...and it would pop up 5 times at least. And I don't want to take the risk of using the computer for too long; Soooooo..... I won't say that I'll be gone forever but...I might not 'show' up as much in the coming days. But not that it matters: I have been a little inactive over here. Just wanted to give a heads-up, that's all. ^_^ |

That's bad, I'd get that taken into somewhere and have them do it for you if you don't have some pretty sizeable and powerful protection already, which if you did it should have stopped that from happening.

Sorry your computer is under the weather, I hope it gets well soon. ^_^ Things are still picking up around here, I'm sure being absent for a few days won't kill you. Sill, hurry back to the warm embrace of the forum least you grow cold while away. ^_^ Which is to say we'd miss you.

Well...we did have an anti virus program before...but we didn't need it: In truth, this is the first time that the computer has ever had a virus. And we had this computer for more than 5 years. |

My mom's an idiot...so we need an anti-virus program at all times xD We always have the best on the market.
You think 9 is bad? I recall a time where my mother put 240+ viruses on her computer while not paying attention to the FREAKIN' ALERTS. Seriously...they pop up...how can you miss them? o.o

You need something along the lines of Trend Micro, Spy Sweeper, or (ugh) McAfee; or wipe your hard-drive. Chances are you're being zombified and/or remotely scanned by a hacker. In the worst case it could be voodoo (sp?)....very nasty viruses.

I personally use Norton 360...and with that, combined with careful monitoring of my mother's internet activities, has worked for me. I haven't had any viruses in awhile. |
