Appearance:

Physical Features: Vexen has the nonathletic body of an overworking scientist when it comes to his upper torso. he's rather thin and slightly below-average weight. Despite this his shoulders bear a fairly wide mantle and his arms are not as thin as one might expect. Vexen is of average height for an adult male. The Nobody's hair is a very dull and lifeless blond and worn very long, reaching almost all the way down his back. Two long bangs also frame either side of his face and hang down to chest level.
Facial Features: Vexen has a very tall, narrow head shape with a flat chin. The Nobody's face is very thin in itself with a clear angular structure against the inner bones. His eyes are a very clear green.
Clothing: Vexen's clothes consist of the Organization's uniform, a cloaked jacket known as the Enigma. It is black leather with a metallic zipper and a few hanging decorations around the chest area. The uniform includes black gloves, pants and boots as well to keep everything below the neck completely hidden while worn, and it has a show-casting hood to keep everything above the neck hidden as well when it is pulled up over the wearer's head.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles: N/A
Personality:
Resolve: Vexen's main goal is to gain a heart to replace the one lost to him.
Pursuit: Vexen pushes on in his goal because as a Nobody it is difficult, dare say impossible even, for him to care about any other interests until this one has been fulfilled. In doing so he will be able to move on to Even's old goals such as trying to discover all the heart's secrets through research.
Fears: Vexen is afraid of three main things. In order of importance, the first fear is of death. He does not wish to dissolve away into darkness before his research has answered all the questions in his mind. The second is of those he recognizes as more powerful or of higher authority than himself. The final is finding only failure in all his research and experiments, but Vexen's confidence in himself tends to keep this last fear at bay most of the time. Actual failure or useless findings often drag it to the surface though.
Hopes: Vexen's hope lies in scientific achievement. His desire is to establish himself as an undeniable genius for all history through his findings and experiments. What teh Nobody desires most of all from this is simply the respect he feels he deserves.
Hobbies: Vexen's work is his obsession. No free time is granted the man in which he does not spend it either performing his various laboratory works or planning out future experiments to conduct.
Public Personality/Private Personality: In public Vexen is quite confident in himself and arrogant towards almost anyone, the exception being if one of his fears is preyed upon by those around him. If faced with mocks of failure Vexen becomes sullen and even aggressively defensive. Faced with the real threat of death he becomes worried and pleading. The fear of authority can draw out a more submissive side of him, but not without a fair amount of begrudging on his part. Vexen enjoys showing himself off as more intelligent than those around him and also becomes irritated if he feels the proper respect is now shown to him, but if it is then he can be much easier to get along with if pone doesn't mind his ego. When alone Vexen's personality is geared towards his inner thoughts, theories and calculations. He reflects how things are going in his mind with his expressions and actions much like a somebody would, showing frustration or acting irritable when things aren't going well yet laughing and praising his own genius when the opposite holds true. Vexen can also be a very sinister schemer both inwardly and outwardly if it serves one of his experiments. The scientist's ability to use a person's emotions against them is as developed as any experienced Nobody's.

Weapons:
Weapon Name: Freeze Pride
Weapon Description: The Freeze Pride is a blue shield shaped something like a drop of water with two circular indentations cut out on each side of it. The round part of it has five spikes sticking out across it, the center one being the largest, and the pointed end is quite sharp as well. These allow the defensive item to serve as a weapon if the situation is desperate enough or calls for it. It is quite large, easily able to cover the width of his body in it's widest part and over half of Vexen's height in its length as well.
Unique Notes: When not held by him actively the Freeze Pride floats in front of Vexen on it's own, always remaining between himself and his enemy when possible. It is formed of incredibly condensed ice and is extremely durable. Even if broken and destroyed by a heavy amount of damage the shield can always be re-formed by the Nobody out of more ice at any time.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Ice
Sub Abilities:
Freezing Wind
Vexen point his hand and a wind dusted by an icy blue tint flows forward and outward from it with a maximum range of four meters. Anything caught by the Freezing Wind is cursed with the status effect Freeze, suddenly encasing them or it in ice. Player characters caught in ice can break free from it in their next following turn using physical force due to it weakening in strength over the course of a round. Characters trapped in the Freeze status receive damage only if their prison is shattered by a physical attack. Magical attacks will only cause the ice encasing them to be dispelled, freeing them from their bad status. The damage dealt when a physical attack breaks their ice prison is considered magical with the attacker's physical attack power boosting Vexen magical attacking power. Freezing Wind blows out fairly slowly, making it possible to avoid with average speed and reflexes so long as the character isn't impeded in some other way or is too close to begin with.
Glacier Burst
Vexen causes rough-looking icicles as tall as he is and thicker than spears to burst up out of the ground. At first they can only appear right around the Nobody himself but they can travel with speed ranking of three points across the ground in a growing and free-moving line. The resulting stalagmites can endure for up to three consecutive rounds, should Vexen himself not be interrupted during the constant casting such a long attack would require.
Frost Spear
Vexen collects moisture in the air and forms large arrows of ice around him. These pointed darts the size of a small human shoot speedily forward at his targets and even turn in the air like guided missiles, which they are, if they fly past the enemy but don't strike anything else. The Frost Spear is able to keep going for another round following the path Vexen wills before shattering away on their own. Only one Frost Spear can be guided at a time.

History:
Even was originally one of the six apprentices to Ansem the Wise, and one of the more intelligent ones at that. At least, until Xehanort appeared. People wielding the Keyblade came to radiant garden and foguht great battles, then suddenly disappeared. In their wake, a man was found unconscious with no memory of his past. Even was somewhat jealous of Xehanort's almost superhuman intellect, but he certainly never showe dit. After the newest apprentice became the test subject for Ansem's theories on darkness and the heart Xehanort eventually rallied the other apprentices to work with him in secret to continue the research their master had forbidden. In time Even, along with the others, became obsessed with the darkness and the Heartless which they created and sought to know all their secrets. They betrayed and exiled their old master and eventually lost their very hearts to the darkness they wished to master.
The Nobody of Even, a man with a strong heart and a powerful will, retained it's human shape and was the fourth of the apprentice's empty shells to be found by the one now calling itself Xemnas. Christened with the name Vexen the Nobody became a member of the Organization, which sought to find more Nobodies like themselves in the wake of the Heartless that now spread out across the Sea of Stars, and find a way to restore their lost hearts.
Xemnas' plan to return what each had lost involved the legendary Keyblade and Xehanort's creations, the Artificial Heartless, to bring together a Kingdom Hearts to grant their dearest wish. His knowledge combined with his newfound vast powers made Xemnas a fairly frightening person in Vexen's opinion, even though each of them had all gained newfound abilities from their new forms as well, but as the organization's Number IV he felt the many who would soon be of lower rank would respect him in the same way as well. The Organization watched closely as the Keyblade-wielding heroes fought against the villains manipulating the Heartless and even Xehanort's Heartless itself after they had all fallen. During this time Vexen was assigned to do research in Castle Oblivion, a world in between the realms of light and darkness the Organization had discovered which had a strange power over memories. He, quite without explanation in his own opinion, served under the castle's lord Marluxia, Number XI, and conducted much research on the heart and memories along with the other half of the Nobodies stationed there. With them was a memory-manipulating witch called Namine, the faintest of shadows who lacked even a proper empty shell to call herself a Nobody.
When Sora appeared in the castle Riku was quick to follow. Vexen was pretending to go along with Marluxia's plot to take control of Sora, but was secretly reporting back to Lexaeus and Zexion about his activities. Vexen also found Riku to be a far more interesting test subject than Sora and crafted a perfectly functioning replica of the boy out of data he collected from him in battle. The Replica was used to further test Sora by having Namine rewrite it's memories to believe it was the real deal, but it was defeated and fled. Accused of failure in his experiment Marluxia threatened Vexen using Xemnas' name and told him he would be forgiven only if he killed Sora. Though he did not understand the order, the Chilly Academic agreed.
His agreement, however, wasn't quite an honest one. Vexen fought Sora to sample his memories and then used a memory card from the other side of Sora's heart to turn a floor of the castle into a replica of Twilight Town, a place the boy had never been yet his Nobody, Number XIII of the Organization, had been found in. Vexen fought Sora there, trying to get him to believe in what he felt in his heart instead of what his now false memories told him so that Marluxia's plan would be ruined, but the boy was still too powerful for the scientist to defeat. When he tried one last time to tell Sora what was being done to him, Axel appeared and finished the cryomancer with his flames on Marluxia's orders.
It took over a year after these events leading to Vexen's death for his back-up plan to save him. The inventor's machine had collected the scattered fragments of his nothingness back together and reassembled him piece by piece in his hidden laboratory. Wasting no time in learning what had happened in his absence Vexen then immediately went to work, giving no thoughts to the other former members of the organization. If he wanted his heart back he would discover a way to do it on his own with his own genius.
Luckily Vexen knew just how to assembled all the necessary "keys" together to start testing out his own theories...
