War. It is something that comes naturally. An omnipotent force that can't be escaped. No matter what there will always be some sort of war going on. A protest, a debate, a physical or mental battle. These are all examples of war.
Verynia was unlucky enough to be born of war. A world that was created by the mass energy of four Gods colliding in battle. These Gods had names and domains. There was Aristotle of Winter, Isosceles of Spring, Marcus of Fall, and Gemini of Summer. Yes, these four Gods resided over the seasons.
Aristotle was an elder. A man with a large white beard. He was skilled in magic and knowledge. Isosceles was the exact opposite. He was a mercenary. He was not liked by any of the Gods and was outcasted. Marcus was a noble warrior. What separated him from Isosceles was the basic fact that he had morals. And then Gemini. Gemini was the spirit God. The God that wanted peace and justice, but was denied it and made a fool of by Marcus, his rival. The reason the Gods clashed in the first place was because of Gemini and Marcus. Aristotle had joined Gemini and Isosceles had joined Marcus. The force was so destructive that it created the small world of Verynia.
And the Gods disappeared with nothing but small traces of their story scattered about the world of Verynia for the natives to find.... Some natives found this as truth, other saw this as a mere folk-tale. And that's when they split into two tribes. The Glorons and the Traeeks. The Glorons believe in the glory of the world, but not the gods. The Traeeks believed in the legend of the Gods and that they were still there. These two tribes warred often as their Gods did. I suppose you could compare the Traeeks as Gemini and Aristotle and the Glorons as Marcus and Isosceles.
As with all wars, love was born out of it. Love between a Traeek and a Gloron. The male was a Gloron, the woman was a Traeek. Yes, the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. However, differing from the classic Shakespeare story, the Traeeks welcomed this love. They saw it as a sign of the Gods. The Glorons on the other hand despised the relationship and war only brewed hotter. The two soon had a child. They named the child Gemini in honor the God of Summer.
War split the family. The father offered to go to war for the Traeeks as a sign of their friendship, yet no matter how hard they protested, he eventually left for war...and was brutally killed. His wife killed herself, leaving the little baby as an orphan. The Traeeks raised him with revenge in mind. They trained him as a warrior since a toddler. He would be the greatest warrior ever. And he was. Sent into war at 18 this boy slaughtered every Gloron in sight. Armies stood no chance, demons were just as useless. Even tamed Heartless beasts could not defeat Gemini. It was as if he had the blood of a God within him and only a God could defeat him.
And that's what the Glorons did. They decided to fall to the Gods' knees. Accepting that there were truly Gods. They studied and discovered Gemini's rival. They summoned Marcus, believing that he would appear. The Glorons had changed....
In a battle, Gemini was leading the Traeeks to victory once again when a black horse with red eyes strode out of the darkness. It was gigantic, the size of four humans. Atop it rode a man with white armor and white eyes. The horse looked into the eyes of Gemini. Accept your destiny! Gemini's eyes burned red. He couldn't see for a moment, then when his sight returned, the horseman was off of his steed with his sword raised high into the air. It came down onto Gemini, beheading him only so that-
And he awoke. Gemini awoke in Traverse Town from that same dream over and over again. It's time he unlocked his destiny and discovered his path....
As you can see, this plot is very heavy on Gemini's story, but it can also be a chance for your characters to discover things about themselves. Trust me, this will not be a "focus on MY character" plot. This will be focusing on relationships...we will have plenty of time for everyone.
Which brings me to why we will have plenty of time. This plot is planned to take more than a year. Please don't be turned off by this because it just means that you will have one closed thread taken up for a while...a very long while. I can guarantee that this won't be a waste of your time.
So now, this brings the question of WHY it will take more than a year. You may suspect by the description above is that each season will focus on the specific God. I want to start this plot by JUNE 22ND.
What will I need? ANYONE INTERESTED. As of now it will just be people that meet Gemini. Whether you hate him or love him, you will neither be with him nor against him, but you will join him in his quest. As it goes on, your character will have the decision of whose side to take. For example, with fall brings Marcus. Gemini will still be involved, but Marcus will become a big character in the story. Come the end of fall, there will be a large battle where your character is fighting on whoever's side they want. Seeing as both Gemini and Marcus are neither good nor bad, they're just Gods that have a duty, this can become very interesting for a bad guy can join Gemini. It's all based on your beliefs. You will learn Gemini's history and Marcus's.
THIS PLOT HAS POTENTIAL TO BE AMAZING. PLEASE HELP ME REALIZE MY DREAM OF THE BEST CHARACTER PLOTS EVER!
I say "plots" because this can involve EVERYONE. There's no limit to participants!!!!! We can all have the same amount of fun!
