Yama no Mitsukai – The Angel of the Mountain

Other Characters: Sasori’s Character Chain ------------------------------------- Canon Character: N/A -------------------------------------
General Character Information
Character Name: Eimi Character Alias: ‘Eimi Gray’ Character Age: 19 Character Gender: Female Character Race: Human Character Position: Neutral Character Appearance: Click Here In comparison to her associate, Medy, Eimi is fairly petite, being only 5’5 in height, measuring almost a foot smaller than the hydromancer. Weighing 117 lbs, her build is fairly apparent from the attire that she dons (viewable in the picture) and she is by no means unattractive. What can be seen from the picture is the frequent Christian symbolism which is shown from the necklace that she wears as well as her staff. No more than symbolism which she wears as a healer, not particularly religious in any form, which is a common mistake made by many that she encounters.
Character Personality: Unlike Medy, Eimi is one of the more caring people whose training in the arts of magic caused her to believe that warriors should use their powers more for good than in such activities as fighting, which has led to numerous arguments between herself and the hydromancer. However, under the influence of Twilight and her fellow student, her alignment of neutral has caused her to reluctantly accept that there are occasions where she is not to intervene with events with her powers. The mentor has referred to her on numerous occasions as being rather difficult when it came to teaching her, due to her strong belief in aiding others. But, like Medy, she has a strong knowledge of when it is necessary to step in and lend her skills and will do so without question if the time comes. Inferior to him, her intelligence quotient only measured up at 143, not on a similar level to the liquid user, but still superior by far to the average person. Alas, the lack of will to commit her skills to battling leaves the intelligence focused on other things, being more of a problem solver behind the scenes. In fact, when it comes down to battling, she’s the sort of person who whilst has the skills to capably defend herself in an encounter, will quite commonly be unable to without assistance from somebody. Usually ending up in a worked-up state where she worries far too much about her opponent than she perhaps should, this commonly leads her to serious injury, fortunately not too much of a problem being a healer. If accompanied by somebody else, she’ll usually stand back and let them do all the damage, instead providing back-up and healing if need be. Yes, she could probably be described as a typical female. In the past, she would always rely on Medy and Hant to provide assistance for her when encountered, more typically Medy due to his abilities being more suited to the occasion of battle, Hant being more of a defensive-minded person. Therefore, her skills were rarely required; as the matter of Medy being dealt damage in battle was more than uncommon. To meet and engage in conversation, one would find her to be just as polite as her fellow students, etiquette being something that their mentor held in great value. Kind and quite quiet with her tone, she’s usually always got a smile on her face, something which irritated Medy heavily. Whilst the hydromancer was generally always in a positive mood, he felt that she was excessively pleasant. Always taking into account the first impression that a person makes on her, she’s more open to getting to know someone better unless they cause her serious upset, in which she’ll be reluctant to speak to the person in future. If someone was to upset her, then rather than responding back in a similar matter, she will purely ignore them; not believing in it being necessary to bring herself down to their level. Rather than losing her temper and turning violent like Medy does, she’ll instead simply shut herself off and separate herself from everyone else, to calm herself down so she can return when she’s in a better mood. Picked on quite a lot when she was younger because of this, not willing to confront anyone and instead let herself be picked on, she’s quite an easy target for criminals and other evil-doers. However, this problem was solved by Medy, who despite being quite irritated by her personality, is quite defensive about Eimi. When she’s upset by something, he’ll usually rid the problem altogether without thinking about it. When questioned about it by Eimi, his reply is usually along the lines of: “Pity, my dear. Also the fact that it embarrasses me to be around somebody as weak as yourself”. Despite receiving so many cold comments from the hydromancer, she’s never found herself in a position whereby she detests him, not even in the slightest. Instead, she’ll act as best she can not to upset him further, an inevitable task due to her nature. Not liking to upset the person she considers as superior, despite the rivalry he holds dear, her general behaviour around him is altered.

Battle Information
Weapon Name: Staff Weapon Appearance: The staff which can be seen in the picture under her appearance made of the finest metal and enchanted by Twilight to make it indestructible. However, whilst she isn’t exactly the most melee-based people when it comes to fighting (if she does actually engage in combat), the solid properties that is possesses are wasted. Instead, it purely acts as an object to channel her magical powers to make them work.
Inventory Name: Comm. Device Inventory Description: This is a small communications device created by Twilight for Eimi and Medy to communicate with. Due to the powerful frequency the radio is set to and the signal emitted from both, it’s impossible for the two devices to not pick each other up. An ear-piece and a small microphone which are connected wirelessly are the sole two pieces. The microphone for Eimi is attached from her head-band. Medy’s is attached to the collar of his attire. Much to Medy’s annoyance, Eimi frequently contacts him on this. Now she’s in KH, it’ll be just the same.

Abilities
Amenoscopy Like every warrior or person who possesses magical abilities in Mystic Sky, the first one that Eimi would learn would be that of the country she came from. Referred to rather incorrectly as aeromancy, her magic is the art of amenoscopy; the divination of the wind. To control the power of the breeze merely by thought or to utilize it in a far more devastating method is the general idea behind it. Underestimated by many, it is considered by the more powerful of elementals, including the famous hydromancer Twilight, to be possibly the most deadly. Eimi would achieve the potential of her abilities, although the possibilities of the technique are far more limited in comparison to that of another element. What she is capable of with this technique is manipulating what wind is present around her, enabling her to increase its power in gust form as well as the pattern it takes in the air. With this, she can cause it to form terrible cutting edges that slice away at the opponent, or perhaps a pure blunt gust that can lift an opponent off of their feet with ease. Or, maybe a large tornado to cause mayhem around the arena. In short, she is able to create whatever she wishes with what is present, simply upping the force or the pressure of the wind with the purest thought. Upon reaching the limit with this technique, her extension was the ability to alter the air pressure in the surrounding area, lowering it to a level whereby it can cause the oxygen levels to drop and make anyone around her fall unconscious.
Angel’s Kiss The second primary ability which Eimi possesses, the secondary technique taught by Twilight in replacement of a defensive technique. Whereas he taught Medy the ‘Reflex’ technique, allowing an unbreakable defence to be created for a temporary amount of time, Eimi stated her wish to learn something else, informing her mentor that she would prefer not to get herself in a position whereby she would require a defensive move, instead wanting to be more supportive for those around her. Therefore, Twilight would devote his time to helping her learn to wield another form of magic; healing powers. Whilst the famed warrior had no need for himself to learn such a technique, almost unable to be hurt physically should he not wish to be, he would study for hours in his own library to learn the basics of the technique and how to progress through learning the more advanced roles. Pulling in specialists in the art of healing, Eimi would receive the same specialist help that Medy did with his hydromancy, meaning she would also reach an even fuller potential than was thought to be possible by her mentor. With this ability, her capabilities allow her to cure people, curing either the sole person by whatever is sufficient (without exceeding the standard 150% healing limit), or using an overall method to cure the entire party (again without exceeding the limit). By purely touching their skin, she will replenish their health with an almost instantaneous effect. The same happens with any status effects that have been inflicted. Paralysis, poison or any super-natural effect can be caused by the slightest of touches from her. What’s more is that at the sacrifice of her own health, she can revive somebody back from a temporary dead state. In doing so however, she will be placed in a comatose condition. The last time she performed the technique, she was out for almost a week.
This Is How I Disappear Referred to quite commonly by Medy as the wimp’s way out of a troublesome situation, this technique is used by Eimi for one reason only; to flee a situation where she is either in extreme danger or uncomfortable. The art of illusion is a clever one, much harder to master than the common person believes it is. But, this art is more powerful than illusion as it simply defeats every sense completely. Taught to her by Twilight, as a method to suit her gentle nature and to keep her safe, this ability is one that she will use when it comes to escaping a battle situation that she doesn’t wish to become involved in. What this ability does, is it instantly cloaks Eimi and makes her seemingly invisible. What has actually happened is it has moved her to a higher plane of existence whereby mortals cannot identify her presence whatsoever. Simply upon wish, she will fade from sight and be able to walk around the world and move past people without them even knowing where she is at all. Any attack that is coincidently fired in her way will do absolutely nothing, taking place on the lower mortal plane rather than the higher one which she currently exists on. Likewise, she cannot do anything to the opponent in return. This ability can only be used in battle circumstances to escape and will end as soon as she has reached a sufficient distance where she cannot be involved in the battle anymore.

Character History
In Mystic Sky, there have been warriors whose names have been laid down in history for remarkable achievements. From the country of Athoz, one which was renowned for its evil affiliation and the production of powerful dark sorcerers, there was the one known as Master Darkfire. From Titusville, a highly respectable country despite being the smallest of the four in existence, there were the Gray brothers, Twilight in particular, who were known for their brilliance in battle and their will to succeed. Power was something held in great value in this world, which was what effectively made a great mage in return. But, every now and again, there was a person who came through the ranks and was respected for a different attitude. This was probably the most accurate for one certain girl.
Where the country of Titusville was famous for its bloodline of hydromancers, where all the mages in the country were trained water diviners, aside from the famous Medy who had taken their abilities to the next level and set a new standard, the large republic of Avalon was known for producing just as graceful a bloodline in terms of technique. Amenoscopy, the divination of wind was their speciality, which proved obvious enough for the uninformed person. After all, why else would a country base its military force around attacking from the sky? Dragons, Pegasus and other winged creatures were among those enlisted for this army, with riders who were trained to ride them and attack with them. Males stereotypically were short-listed for such an occupation, the belief that they could handle it more effectively than females being the common trend. The fact was that the matter wasn’t far from correct. Females weren’t so interested in militaristic methods, more preferring to lead quiet lives. This would naturally continue when it came to the person now known as the ‘Angel of the Mountain’.
Eimi was born in a large town near the busy capital of Avalon, Asher. As was the trend in Avalon, she was an only child and therefore focused on quite heavily in hope of therefore impressing in her future career. Before she had reached the age of one, her parents had sat down and planned out the education she would receive and what would stem from there. Being female, it was natural to do so, in order to hope that she’d stand out from the stereotype and be different. With funds placed into a bank account whereby it’d allow a savings amount to be established for her to go to better places when she became old enough to. Everything set into place; it would now take life to follow its natural course before it would reveal whether everything would indeed work out.
Alas, disaster would strike. At the age of four, Eimi would be made an orphan as her parents were killed in a terrorist attack. Rebels who wished to fight against the Republic would raid the town and raze everything they saw to the ground. Eimi’s father would be killed attempting to fight off the threat; her mother killed trying to defend her child. As the violent warriors would approach the young Eimi and almost end this story before it had even begun, a hero would make his way storming through the door and blast away the rebels with the mere flick of his hand. The young incomprehensive eyes of the girl would pick up no more aside from the long silver hair the flowed down either side of the man’s face and the blue eyes which stared back at her as she would peer up in awe. It had seemed that Avalon had received help in dealing with this threat, Titusville arriving as back-up as they sent only three warriors, proving more than sufficient in squashing the problem completely. Rayvon, Rydor and Twilight were their names.
Eimi would be relocated away from the danger, taken to a boarding-school in Asher where her training was due to begin in a couple of months time. Not understanding about what had happened to her parents due to the young age she was, she would seek comfort from other sources, dependant on others to calm her and look after her. Twilight being her saviour for the moment would become a temporary father for the child, before he would leave back to Titusville for his own purposes and leave Eimi to pursue what she was meant to. Before he left, Twilight would ensure that Eimi would still receive access to the funds from her parents in the future, leaving options open for her. From there on, she would remain at the boarding school and continue her life studying for the future.
Her life was difficult, especially due to the lack of knowledge that she had about her parents and general family background. Everyone else would visit their families during the long summer break, aside from Eimi, who had no-one to visit at all. She would remain in the school grounds, crying herself to sleep through the years as she gradually began to learn about the truth of what had happened. People would laugh at her, being less fortunate than everyone else around her and being seen as the easy target. Emotionally insecure and easy to upset, bullies found much glee in causing her constant misery. Pity was shown only by the teachers, who could do so much to intervene. Having to deal with this on a daily basis, the thought was that it’d strengthen her over time. The truth was that every day, an already broken heart would crack ever so slightly more.
Focus on her progression with magic proved to be the only option as a distraction, although it did very little. Due to the constant abuse she suffered, the idea of violence didn’t interest her in the slightest and she proved very reluctant in wanting to delve more into the art at all. Informed that her co-operation would help her leave the place faster and put her past behind her, she would therefore apply herself more to the school and try as best as she could to help herself escape what was a nightmare of an education. Learning the more advanced techniques around wind manipulation, including the art of controlling it for more powerful purposes, she would show a great deal of promise as a warrior. Yet, when it came down to the heat of the battle, she would be thrown around the arena like a rag-doll, being bruised and cut as she refused to fight her opponent. Her teachers growing more irritated by her behaviour, they didn’t know quite what to suggest as an option. The last year at the Academy in Avalon would end with her passing with a distinction. But, her future was difficult to decide upon. Due to the lack of family bindings and an emotional behaviour, very few people would accept her as a student. That was until there was a knock on the door of the Academy. Upon opening it, a cloaked figure would look downwards at the groundskeeper, who would look back in fright. Twilight had returned.
After a long discussion, Twilight would take Eimi as his student, which was heavily debated by the Academy’s teachers. After all, Twilight was from Titusville and therefore had presumably very little knowledge about the art. Soon it would be revealed that the assumption was premature. Master Gray would be confronted in the school grounds by an arrogant amenoscoper who dared to attack him. Sending a powerful gust of wind, a gentle wave of his finger would see the gust suddenly shoot backwards at the student, forming a tornado around him and bringing the student to his knees before him, under the immense power of the technique. Twilight had been practicing amenoscopy in secret, in wait for this moment to come so he could take a student who he felt would benefit from him.
An interesting selection from the warrior, indeed. Whilst she had left the Academy, thinking that she had mastered amenoscopy, it would be revealed to her that there was much more to come. A teenager who had had an extraordinarily rough ride through her life would not only find a home whereby she was seemingly loved and respected, but she would be told that there was much more to come from her, that her mentor expected great things from her. After a heated discussion that lead to Eimi ensuring that she would not battle at all, Twilight would happily accept her wishes. Of course, the hydromancer had other things in mind as a replacement. He would confer with Eimi in private and discuss options, whilst also helping her to improve her amenoscopy. Of course, the idea of the Institute was to teach the students how to battle. In Eimi’s case, it would prove to allow her to do something else, rather than fight.
Not being from Titusville, Twilight wouldn’t bother putting her through all of the graduation exams. He stated that they were unnecessary and that they would work at her pace to make her improve. First, they would look at her use of wind manipulation and see how it could be improved. Soon, someone who could previously manipulate what was present by power and force could create a unique style that suited her own wishes. Using it to support people and levitate them, as well as create powerful tornados as a blocking technique, she would become quite the support warrior. With that, Twilight would discuss other options. His other students would reach the time in their lives where they would mess around in creating new techniques. So, there would be no reason why Eimi couldn’t do the same.
Unveiled for the general public after everyone else had performed their developed techniques, the art of what she had learned was quite brilliant. A disappearing technique, whereby she left the mortal plane altogether and existed temporarily on a higher level of being, leaving all forms of detection and re-appearing elsewhere. Applauded by her mentor for the technique, she would however be ridiculed by other students for its use. They would argue that it was no use in battle, a pathetic method of escape rather than being brave. Naturally, a small group would gather and inflict quite a bit of abuse on her. One student would break himself apart from the rest, stepping forward with more jest and pushing her backwards, knocking her off-balance and to the ground. Terribly upset, she was about to receive more from the boy, when he was suddenly sent flying into the air by a powerful blast of water. A figure would make its way out in front of Eimi, shielding her from their onslaught. The others would back-off immediately and flee before more attacks were dealt. Eimi looked up in shock of realising who had stepped forward. Of course, no-one dared to mess with… Medy. After they’d left, Medy would turn to Eimi and make one comment before leaving. “As much as I don’t tolerate bullying, that was a pretty pathetic technique.”
Eimi would take a liking to Medy. Whenever she was in trouble or being given a hard time by somebody who took matters to an extreme, he intervened and shut them off completely. The reason from the up and coming hydromancer? “Pity”. But, that wouldn’t deter Eimi. Just like Twilight, Medy defended her when she needed it and stood up for her. She would continuously follow him around and observe his progression as an admirer, always hoping to speak with him more to gain a better friendship between the two. Naturally, the lone warrior that was Medy wasn’t that interested, usually deterring her. His attempts were to no avail, Eimi simply continuing to follow him around until the hydromancer finally accepted that they were ‘acquaintances’. If a fight ensued where Eimi got thrown to the ground, Medy was there to pick her up off of the ground. If Medy was fighting, Eimi was there for him to pick up off of the ground. She was there for back-up, although Medy never needed her.
She was developing as a young lady. Reaching the age of nineteen, her looks had blossomed and those who had previously punished her in the past regretted their actions. Probably the most attractive women in the Institute walked among them, not interested by them in the slightest as she walked past, well aware of the reasons for why she was being stared at by almost every boy. No-one would gain her attention, aside from that one person who would care for her, even if he rarely wished to speak to her. But, she would turn his head now and again when she walked through the corridors of the Institute, only for a second before he turned attention back to whatever he was doing. Alas, she was plain beautiful. Whilst she knew it, she didn’t flaunt it. Head turned naturally and she carried on life only in interest of what would happen next.
Soon, she would receive word from her mentor that Medy was to venture off into an unknown universe. Taken aside, she would receive an explanation of the matter at hand. One of Twilight’s informants had relayed information about obscure occurrences in a far-off universe, which Medy had been sent to in order to investigate and report back. Eimi would sit with her mentor when he received audio reports, purely for the sound of his voice. Twilight would naturally send reports back, in which Eimi was again always present for. From what she could gather, Medy had gone into a world filled with danger, which made her uncomfortable. As far as she was concerned, the one person she trusted the most was always in danger and without back-up. As weeks passed, her concern would grow more until she simply had to consult Twilight about it.
After doing so, the mentor would do nothing about it until he received fewer reports back from Medy. Concerned that the hydromancer wasn’t committed to the job, he would have no other choice than to send Eimi across the vast gap of the universes in search of her partner, the elusive Medy. Informed of his new appearance, her aim was set to find him and inform him of what Twilight intended for him to do next. Once she had done so, she was to escort him through the worlds. Of course, that wasn’t her main priority. She just wanted to see that one person, who no matter what he said to her, made her smile with true happiness.
