Appearance:
Physical Features:
Like many other girls in recent times, despite Koyuki's tender age, her body has matured. Girlish features are sharpened by a thin frame, weighing only around 108 pounds, and filled out in all of the right places. Despite this, she appears rather small, thanks to her short stature. Barely reaching the point of five-foot-four, she is looked down upon by most others around her age. Her skin, though deprived of light in most cases, retains a sun-kissed glow.
Facial Features:
Perhaps her most noticeable aspects is her hair. Sporting long, luxurious locks of pastel pink, that normally wouldn't seem natural. It takes much of the focus off her face, which she has no pride in what-so-ever. Eyes of a foggy hazel are framed by orange rimmed glasses, that hang at the bridge of a petite nose. Her eyebrows, the same color as her hair, are always neatly kept at a thin arch - of course, they are generally covered by the messiness of jagged bangs. Her cheekbones are high, giving definition to her chin and lips, which seem plump but pale.
Clothing:
Clothing is an outward show of emotions; what one is thinking, how they are feeling. Depression warrants darkness for the obvious, but brightness for the hidden. In Koyuki's case, things are slightly more cryptic. Her old style of dressing used to match that of most other girls, in that she wore a school uniform most of the time. But as things progressed, more and more she started to only deck out in winter-type clothing. The tradition continues to this day. Her favorite outfit happens to be the one she will be spotted in most often. A long sleeve shirt, stripped in a dark and light shade of orange, is the base for her design. It extends well past her hip line. Over this resides a pink teeshirt that without the orange, would easily show off a portion of her stomach. Across the bust, scrawled in tiny white text, are the words you leave me; below that, in a larger, more cursive style: SPEECHLESS. Wrapped loosely around her hips is a white leather belt, that because it isn't threaded through any loops, does nothing to hold up the pink skirt she wears. It only goes down to her mid-thigh, and frills out - but no worries! No skin can be seen, as the curve of her legs are overtaken by a pair of striped stockings that match her orange shirt to a T. Her shoes are one of the last main articles: pristine white slip-ons, with a pink heart on each outer toe. All that is left is accessories, which are what really give her such a strange appearance. A duel pair of fingerless gloves fall through from where the sleeve of her undershirt cuts off (at the wrist), striped in a vaguely pink candy-cane like manner. Their match in color and style is sashed tightly around her neck, in the form of a hand-knit winter scarf.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles:
One could point out various odd features of such a girl. The most distinct, however, are the twin catlike ears sprouting from her head. They retain a color similar - though slightly darker than - her hair's shading. Nearest the very tip of each is where the color concentrates, changing into an almost red hue. The same description could be applied for her tail, which is carefully strung through a hole in whatever is on her legs. The last addition is not as noticeable; in fact, the only way to have seen it would be out of luck. On her right wrist, carved deeply into the skin so much as to scar beautifully, is the word Voiceless.
Personality:
Resolve:
What is the biggest goal to a person, but to live? Koyuki has no one thing she wants to achieve before she dies, other than to have experienced all that she could. If, in fact, that means putting herself in harms way .. she would have no regrets. A little fun, and to see new places. But there is always a motive.
Pursuit:
She wants to go home. A nameless world; how does one return to a place, when one is not sure where or what it is? She is seeking anyone who can tell her how to get back to her family, or if her friends are even still alive.
Fears:
Many simple things. The darkness has always been her biggest fear, whether it be in a no-sunlight context or another word for the Heartless. Both are equally frightening; almost as much as spiders! Anything with more than four legs makes her skin crawl.
Hopes:
The pursuit of happiness, as they say. Like stated before, her only real hope is to find those that she loved - especially her partner. But along the way, through this journey, it would all be worth it if she could experience new places and people. She is not very social anymore, but there is still the allure of making new friends.
Hobbies:
What is there for a girl to do? In her free time, she enjoys exploring new worlds, and buying books to read. If this is not possible, trying different foods and singing will always keep her busy. Of course, when living in such a dangerous time between the worlds, it's always good to fit in a little time to practice fighting.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
To be honest, Koyuki's inner and outer personalities are fairly similar. This is typically due to her introvert nature: not caring what others thing, so much as worrying about what she thinks of herself. To others, especially those she doesn't know, Koyuki can seem like an overly quiet girl. She will rarely say a word, unless prompted to by a direct question or interesting topic. Some people speculate that she doesn't even show any emotion, but this is not entirely true - they just cannot see it. She will deliberately wear her scarf over the lower portion of her face, just to hide a smile if she doesn't have the courage to show it. She is very self-conscious, and worries about her appearance; not out of vanity, but to make sure she never gets made fun of. Even the slightest negative comment will send her into a spiral of self-doubt, questioning if she is a good person, or even 'worthy' enough to be living. But the phase quickly passes, and she back to herself within a few minutes of that person's departure. However, long-term exposure to a person with an abusive attitude could severely damage her ability to recoup. If this were to happen, a slightly different reaction would take place, in the form of her becoming attached and dependent upon the person. As such, she can be equally called a masochist, because there are times when she enjoys the verbal abuse. This takes us to her innermost thoughts and actions. Around the people she knows best, which would happen to be very few, she can appear very outgoing and happy. She more readily talks about anything, and will share stories and secrets that she has acquired throughout her journey. Making friends with her is easy, and as such, she can be gullible; even naive. Unless someone points out a flaw of another person to her, Koyuki will generally remain oblivious. They could have been a mass murderer, and she would have pegged them for a saint.

Weapons:
Weapon Name:
Combined, she calls them Hige [hee-geh], or Whiskers.
Weapon Description:
Two very over-complicated versions of the shinobi's shuko, or climbing claws, that have been specially modified for combat. White leather binds the mechanism to each wrist, carefully secured as not to have them fall off mid-fight. Thick ribbons of the leather, fairly flexible, move in a form-fitting manner down the top and bottom of each finger -- stopping only when they hit the metal of claws. These, instead of being attached to the glove, appear to be morphed right into the nail and flesh of the fingertips. They are made out of a pristine silver, extending a lethal length, to act very much like daggers. Now, attached to the ribbons of leather are clamps of the same metal that the claws are made of, which also seem to be pushed far into the flesh; circling over top the first and second knuckles of all ten digits.
Visual Aid:

Unique Notes:
Koyuki does not, contrary to how it many seem, wear these at all times. When engaged in a fight, she can summon the Hige, which appear pre-attached to her hands. The process is actually painful, as well, but not harmful to her body.
Abilities:
Base Ability:
Kaze [Aero].
Sub Abilities:
1. Oshikomeru // The environment's air picks up, and swirls itself around an opponent's body. Unbeknownst to them, it is not just air~ If they don't move out of the way, or are forced to stay in that position, the air's molecules are condensed around their body, forming a semi-transparent sphere that traps them inside. There is no air left in here, and the area inside effectively becomes something of a vacuum. The sphere is pulled in further around the opponent, effectively causing a good deal of damage as bones are fractured, or rendering them unconscious from lack of oxygen. There is a way to escape, however: a strong blow with a high (3 or above P.atk) power to the prison, or a good blow with an elemental (3 or above M.atk) spell. It takes three of the user's posts to perform; one to activate, another for the sealing, and a post for the damaging blow if the enemy didn't escape. This can only be used once per thread.
2. Genwaku // A fairly simple technique used mostly for escaping purposes. With a grasp of control over the wind, one can conjure debris (sand, leaves, etc.) that swirl outward. It effects the general vicinity a few feet in front of the user, making it so that anyone in this line of fire is unable to see due to the debris. This is another that takes about two posts by the user to perform. The first activates the technique and allows an attempt at escape, with another post in turn order after the posts of the enemies, to confirm if the user has been able to flee without being caught. It can only be used once per day.
3. Tatsumaki // An offensive spell, decent depending upon how the performer uses it. It imbues the power of wind into the wielded weapon, so that when it is swung toward an opponent, the wind forms a mirror attack -- effectively making it as if there were two hits. In this respect, if the weapon does hit, it causes both regular attack damage and elemental magic damage (equal to half of P.atk power) to the wounded opponent. It can only be used once every 5 posts. For example, the performer uses it on post one in a thread, and so they may only use it again on their fifth post afterward.

History:
Early Life
What does one do when they aren't the same? Koyuki was born by a young girl named Aito, who had put her up for adoption midway through her pregnancy. A teenager at best, Ai didn't have the resources to care for a baby. The newly-wed couple of Yaukami and Chi offered to take the child from birth, and thus, she became an official Tsuiraku. The surname was well-renowned in Japan, one of higher blood and caring hearts, who accepted her almost instantly, thrilled that Chi had decided to adopt -- she couldn't become pregnant herself. An abnormal start, but Yuki led a rather average life as a child. Sheltered and spoiled to the point of smothering, she was home schooled until the age of seven. During, she had always wondered if she was a freak: having catlike features, while her parents did not. Although this made her nervous, she eventually demanded to go to a public school. It was here that she found most every other child had animalistic additions as well. During an educational class in her Sixth year, the teachers finally explained what parents were too nervous to say: why most adults didn't have their ears or tail. It was a matter of virginity, and once the performed any sexual act, they would subsequently "shed" these features. It was a sign of adulthood, rather than by age. Koyuki decided that she would always stay a child, and from then on, she developed a rather introverted personality. Previously, she had been outgoing to the point of popularity, but people do change. Her parents worried about her quietness, and her withdrawl from conversations with them.
Voiceless
Seventh year, a twelve-year-old Koyuki's personality was completely reformed. She still retained her friends, but they all mentioned how different she was. This, of course, seemed only an accomplishment to her. But this was a period of her life -- the year -- where everything even she knew would turn around. Her adopted mother, long suffering cervical cancer (the reason for her infertility), was admitted to the hospital. There was nothing at this point that the doctors could do for her, and she died a few painful weeks later. Yaukami was devastated, still fairly young, but too old to handle the loss of his loved one. He broke down regularly, and Koyuki had to take care of him. Always bedridden, she missed much school to care for her father, who was diagnosed with "heartbreak syndrome" by a psychological doctor. In turn, she found herself feeling sad, and whenever she wasn't at home or school, she took long walks in the park near her house. This area, in the depths of winter, was where she met a girl named Yuu. The other was a little older, by at least three years, and she was extensively mysterious -- not to mention lacking ears. She talked of magical spell battles, and a secret school for people called fighters. Yuu regarded Koyuki as something called a sacrifice, which she explained, was the second half of the fighting pair. The one that received the damage. Drawn in by such fantasy and Yuu's friendliness, Koyuki started to leave home more often to see her. One day, a girl and a boy appeared in the park during one of their regular talks. They seemed harmless enough, but Yuu became instantly defensive, and hostile toward them. It was then that she realized, maybe that world wasn't fantasy! The pair initiated a battle, a scary thing at best, but Yuu defeated them after coaxing Koyuki to stop being so frightened. She needed her. Yuu needed her Voiceless, the other half to her soul. They were a team. Eventually, Yaukami's heart healed, but he never remarried. Koyuki was made to go back to school, and Yuu joined her, though they were grades apart. It was a wonderfully symbiotic relationship, and Yuu became one of the only people to see the talkative side of Koyuki.
Lost and Found
No spell or bond could have prevented a catastrophe. Worlds mingled, fantasy and reality -- creatures invaded the peaceful streets. More and more often fighters and sacrifices were appearing; forming alliances and attacking opposition. Things were being destroyed at the seams. People began to disappear, and the shadow-like things took their place. The only people that remained were those that could hide in the safe areas: places where they were being protected by the fighters. In this event, no one could afford to be fighting amongst themselves. It would have been suicide! Koyuki, with help from Yuu, did well to fend off the creatures. Her father, and most of her school, didn't fair as well. It was impossible! Simply unimaginable, but ever since Yuu came into her life, everything seemed out of balance. Magic, for goodness sake! If they had magic, it was only natural to assume there had to be evilness, aside from in the hearts of other people. Eventually .. her world was consumed. The few people that remained "alive," were scattered throughout the blackness. Thinking she was dead, not knowing what was going on, Koyuki awoke in a place known as Radiant Garden. Yuu was no where to be found; she was alone.
The Aftermath
Things weren't as bad as one might imagine. Sure, everything she had ever known was taken away from her, but .. there was so much more. Exploring the town, she met a few interesting people who explained a bit of what happened. There had recently been an outbreak of the creatures -- which she learned were called Heartless in their entirety -- in the city. They were after hearts, and only those who were strong had been left. Koyuki inquired several times about her home, and where this was in the world. The answer, of course, startled her. What world? There are many worlds, one man said, with a smile that made her shiver. It is only a matter of knowing which you come from. But if the heartless have consumed it, rest assured that you won't ever find your way home. Her spirit was crushed. Was everyone destroyed? Was she the only one left? It seemed so, but there was only one way to find out. She had to search! The worlds are connected, he added, If you want to find answers .. there is no reason to stay here. That was how her journey began. Maybe someday she will find her world, which name she does not know, and perhaps .. Yuu will turn up. She was always a strong girl.
