You win on the first paragraph, but Final Fantasy IS turn-based. Throwing that away is like making chocolate sour. It doesn't work. Look at FFXII

Where the hell are you getting the KH battle system from? There's no menu at the bottom of the screen, and no drives, or healing items by the looks of it. It is in essence a fighting game, which uses normal attacking, combos, and special moves to deal MASSIVE DAMAGE to your opponent. Well its actually classified as an action game to be precise. There is NO RPG in this gameplay whatsoever.

I'm willing to bet there's not gonna be a reason. They're just gonna tell you to roll with it. Except that the plot has already been revealed. The eternal conflict between the two gods, Chaos and Cosmos. One of them summons 10 FF characters to gain the upper hand. The other responds by summoning 10 FF characters of its own. That is basically it. They're fighting over some mysterious power, all I know. As for the battle system, it is nothing like KH. And, so it is clear, they didn't want to use the turn-based system for a reason; this is supposed to be more action packed. Why risk the fanbase with a crossover game, and then use a battle system they've already used in over 12 games? As for it being on a console, if they weren't working on 2 other FF games at the same time as Dissidia, it would have been a good idea. xP But, yes, I have faith in this game and SquareEnix itself. The cutscenes alone are enough reason to get the game. Anyone see the Squall vs Sephiroth clip? It is full of win.

Yes I saw that clip and wanted to cry tears of joy but my facelift has prevented me to. Just the one where Tidus and Zidane team up and Tidus uses Zidans tail to slingshot him towards Kuja.

Epic Win. Just more reason for me to buy a new console.

Makes me glad I kept my PSP. So from the looks if the game it's most likely gonna have every main hero and every main villain from the Final Fantasy games. Not the side games or heroes mind you but I could be wrong though.

It doesn't really matter who is in it, though, in the end. It just needs to have a good plot and good battle system. That is all it will take.

Yay, another game for me to add to the list of games I need to get in the future. Although, being a PSP game, this one won't be as pricey as the others. Damn, this game looks absolutely awesome.
Just to comment on the whole theory of there being a KH battle-system...
No.
Just... no.
The whole action theme will be something to get used to, but I'm sure it'll work really well. Whilst I've always loved the turn-based system of FF, it'll be a pleasant change to see the player able to actually move around and stuff. This game will also solve a load of inter-FF debates as to which are the stronger characters, which'll be pretty awesome to see.
Yeah, I'm liking the look of this.

It really all depends on who is playing the characters so anyone could be the ultimate warrior. But if it were me I'd go for either Firion or Tidus.

Having just read the report from Gamespot after their visit to the "DK Sigma 3713 Event", where they managed to actually get a hold of the game and have a little test play, they've confirmed that Cloud is in the game alongside Sephiroth from FF7, as well as Kefka from FF6.
They didn't mention anything about Terra though.

It really all depends on who is playing the characters so anyone could be the ultimate warrior. But if it were me I'd go for either Firion or Tidus. Sometimes games are unfairly skewed in favor of some characters; like Marth in Super Smash Brothers Melee who is stronger, or Gon from Tekken who is weaker. I wouldn't assume each character is equally powerful.

That may be true, but even if they are not equally powerful it all depends on how you use the character. Like how you said Marth is strong in SSBM this may be true but he isn't unstoppable, I could use someone like Luigi to beat Marth. It all depends on how the player uses the character and if they are any good at it.

Innate strength remains innate strength. In the hands of a martial artist, a rod may be a powerful weapon, but in the hand of a novice, a sword may be equally powerful. The martial artist, however, would be even stronger with the sword than the novice would be with the rod.
You cannot strike with the force of a hammer if what you have is inferior to a hammer. But the opposite is not true; you can strike with the force of a hammer if what you use is superior thereto.
There's no denying Marth is a more powerful character than others, and so he qualifies more for "ultimate character" than Pikachu would. Equally so, a Final Fantasy Dissidia character may be more powerful than another character, thus giving it an innate edge. A weak character can never become an "ultimate character", because its potential is limited to be less than the potential of the strongest character. Playstyle, player ability, they all simply add up to how much of each character's potential you are capable of using.
To me, Marth is unstoppable. I have not ever been beaten while using him, and I've fought many a battle. My second favorite, Kirby, was beaten much faster, since he lacked the power Marth had; and Marth had nary a weakness.
