Hmm.... indeed... though I still return to the whole "magic heavy" thing for the villain's side. Only Garland, Sephiroth and Jecht would be non-magical unless I'm missing someone in my quick recollection.
Then again, its not like team hero isn't completely warrior-focused too, just that they fit a fighting game better. XD Only Onion Knight's job-changing seems to add any potential mage types to their side of the roster, and that's only temporarily.

I just read that Dissidia will be released around the middle of December in Japan along with the new PSP 3000.

They make updated PSP models way too often. My one is the current "new model". XD

Heh, I'm more than happy with my original version. It plays the games I want it to play and it'll do more than I get a bigger memory stick for it.
I must admit, I'm getting more and more excited about this game as I watch all the videos being released. The Squall and Sephiroth short sword-fight there looked pretty kickass. I'm also really intrigued by the ending of that video.

I liked Garlands specialty. Other than that I'm pretty much feeling the same as before about this game.

I like how his weapon keeps shifting into other things. That's pretty cool.... in my opinion at least.

Yeah it went from a big drill looking sword, to a hammer, and then he pulled out two of them. He could even throw the blade out like a ball in chain. Garland has definetly scored some points with me.

I guess its kinda like Cloud's First Tsurugi in that its made of up parts, except not limited to swords and the parts just adjust their place instead of separating.... except for when he splits it for two swords. lol

Right, I hated the fact that he made the Warrior of Light look like a punk. If it was me playing the game and I knew how to play the game, I would have wiped the floor with Garland.

Yeah but I don't know if they set the Light Warrior's AI very high for the trailer. More of a "Show off what the player character can do" kind of thing like it was for Onion Knight and Tidus. Cloud of Darkness and Jecht didn't do much in either of their vids either, being computer controlled.

It made the battles really one sided. I hope to be in some epic battles when I get this game. The kind where you are unsure if you will make it out alive kind of epicness.

Well I imagine as a fighting game there's always the chance to set the AI high enough to kick your butt. Haha.
Since it s progressive pone too(With some sort of board game movement screen it seems) they probably get better AI as it gets towards a character's final battle too.

I dunno. It doesn't strike me as quite a "pure" fighting game for some reason. Like I'm expecting there to be a lot of in-battle RPG gimmicks or something. I know Soul Calibur had that story mode with leveling up as well, but their matches were still straightforward battles.
Of course, that doesn't mean I don't think I'll enjoy playing it. Or that I think I'm necessarily right either. lol
