Kia wanted a fight. She was looking for one. Traveling all around the universe of Kingdom Hearts by yourself got incredibly boring, even for an fairly unfriendly person like Kia. And what did she do when she was bored and restless? She looked for some sort of fight, be it heartless, nobodies or...bad people? Whoever crossed her at the time, perhaps. But that wasn't really happening right now. There was NOTHING. No one.

So she'd heard of the Olympus Coliseum from some passing people in Traverse Town...why not? Surely there would be a little fighting to be had there. Something to occupy her, let her blow off the steam that'd been building. Though she wasn't obsessed with finding those missing years of her life, the longer she went without knowing the more stressed she got when her mind wasn't occupied. It was a very annoying void in herself...

So now she stood before the looming Greek structure, staring at the gate. Fight, fight, fight...Yet she couldn't get the gate open no matter what she did. Was no one there? Was it CLOSED?

...Nooooo!

"GR!"

"Hey now, what's going on here?" came a curious male voice from being the girl. A brunet man clad in an unusual blue coat and black pants was standing there with his arms crossed in front of him. An interested smile was on his face, just below the strange glass eye patch worn over his right eye. If the girl turned to look she'd find him leaning his right shoulder on the side of a pillar while looking her way. "Looking for some action?"

Isaac chuckled at his own unintended choice of words once the realization of what he said dawned on him. Hopefully the girl would also find it amusing and nothing else. She was a small girl, for certain, but Kris got the impression she wasn't a kid. One might say he knew because "It takes one to know one". He was often mistaken for a teenager because of his short stature, a constant pet peeve of the pirate's. In the back of his mind perhaps he thought another person sharing a similar lack of vertical reach would be less likely to make that same mistake.

Kia had been in the process of banging her head on the gate when she heard the voice. She paused, body tensing. Violet eyes flickered to the corner of her eyelids, catching sight of the young man looking at her so nonchalantly. She didn't move a moment...then she slowly turned, eyes narrowed slightly. Her wavy red locks followed behind her

"Please tell me that wasn't a come-on." she half growled, half sighed as she settled a hand on her hip. The girl had attitude. She was rough and tough...even sounded vaguely like a young boy when she spoke despite her pretty womanly features. Yes, she was short, but Lord help him if he actually said that to her face.

It was slightly...calming that she didn't have to look way up at someone to see their face, for once.

"What do you want?" she asked now, sighing. "Do you know how to get into this...thing so I can get some 'action'? Or do you have a better idea?" Yeah, her voice was a bit irritated and demanding, but at least she wasn't going into hostile mode on him with her hands, feet and maybe whip.

"Not intentionally," KC replied to her first question with a smirk. "Though I've never understood what women found so unpleasant about them either way."

The man shrugged away the answer he gave and dismissed the topic entirely with a small shake of his head, eyes closed to the world and then opening again to a brand new set of questioning from the lady. My wasn't she a bit irritated at the moment? Not exactly Conolly's favourite type of woman. Then again, she was one who he'd never met before and thus wasn't irritated specifically at him, and that certainly WAS Connolly's favourite type of woman.

"Sorry miss, can't help you there. I was hoping to watch the games today myself but it looks like they're cleaning up after some big event they had with giant monsters and whatnot," the Gummi Ship merchant said nonchalantly, waving his right hand to show how little he really cared about not being able to go. He was actually assuming that the girl too was nothing but a spectator.

Ending his lean Kris moved of onto the full support of his won two legs and placed raised his right hand close to his head as if some strange half-way between a wave hello and a salute.

"I'm Kristoph, but you can cal me Casey," he said, introducing himself before walking closer to the girl.

She quirked a brow and almost instinctively stepped back away from him when he approached, but it only surfaced as a partial lean backwards that left her standing in the same place. She was more than a little bummed that this opportunity to blow off some steam also fell through. Wasn't there anyone or any thing she could attack to make herself feel better? Her stress did not surface to the guarded girl's face. If anything, she avoided showing what she was really feeling by keeping the 'irritated' mask on. She rose a hand to her temple a moment with intentions to rub it and sooth her growing headache, but she realized that action may show weakness so she turned it into a sort of mock wave salute copy of Casey's.

"Casey, hm?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest. She looked him over a moment. Was he a threat? "I'm Kia." she huffed, violet eyes locked on him. She wasn't a girl easy to win over. A challenge for all men, womanizer and shy alike.

"I wanted in to fight." her voice stated flatly at the male in front of her.

"Is that so?" the pirate asked. He sounded genuinely intrigued rather than the mocking tone one might expect of such a small girl wanting to fight in a place meant for the greatest of heroes. "That's quite a courageous heart you have Miss Kia. But I wonder... what were your reasons for wanting to participate in the games?"

Kristoph had stopped a few feet short of the girl, sensing her lean backwards as a body language sign for not wanting him any closer. understandable for a stranger, but Isaac was a friendly guy and his crew wasn't in town to party with. He was looking to make some new "friends".

"The coliseum is a place for heroes to inspire the populace with bravery and to find their own strength, a place to prove to them that dangers shouldn't be feared needlessly in order to create a society that rejects evil and grows in strength and unity. Forgive my assumption, but in these few moments we've known each other... you simply haven't struck me as that type."

Once again, "It takes one to know one".

"I'm not that type. I just want to fight. That's how I blow off steam." she replied moodily, this time unintentionally reaching up to rub her temple, though her face still didn't show any stress or pain from her headache. "But it's closed...just great!" she shouted, banging on the door with a strong fist one last time before she dropped her arms to the side and stalked off a few paces. Who knew it could be so stressful being neither bad nor good, lost nor found? She liked being on her adventure, but sometimes the stress just built up until she needed to get rid of it.

"It was a simple whim that just isn't going to happen. This place probably ruined everyone's plans today." she sighed, looking at him now with a slightly calmer expression after her little outburst. "So you were here just to watch? Alone? you don't strike me as the type who hangs around alone and enjoys it."

"My, aren't we an observant pair," Casey said with a laugh, both arms angled upwards with their palms facing towards the sky as if to say "You've got me pegged". "If we hang out long enough we'll know each other better than we know ourselves."

With that the pirate let both hands fall to his sides and strolled slowly in the direction Kia had stalked off in. He seemed in quite high spirits, as if to counterbalance the lady's unhappiness at the situation.

"If one wants to make new friends they go to where the biggest event in town is my dear. In this town, that's the Coliseum. However, I'm not worried. This world has many fascinating places you can meet new people and find new things. Perhaps I could show you around a little to help take your mind off your misfortune?"

"I didn't come here to make friends, Casey." the girl shot back, the man's high spirits annoying her slightly. Was she annoyed, or jealous that she couldn't feel the same way...or didn't know how to.

"But, I have nothing better to do." Kia grumped, acting as if she had no other choice but to give in. Grumping was Kia's form of pouting. Deep down she wanted to let him be her friend, but as always she kept that hidden. It wasn't hard to see that despite her well kept outer appearance, Kia was far from a lady on the inside. That's not to say that she wasn't able to be pleasant enough to make and keep friends, she just wasn't the...girliest girl in the universe. She was very quick to anger and loud, guarded like most men were.

If he wanted to make friends with her, then so be it. Maybe she should try and enjoy herself...push extra hard to be halfway nice. Maybe a friend in this unfamiliar universe would do her some good.

"You sure know how to make a guy feel like he's wanted," KC said with playful sarcasm, not really insulting Kia but not letting her completely get away with being so rude either. He didn't mind if she was being tough and reserved. That just made the journey of winning he rover more interesting. "Might I make a suggestion then as something of a professional planner? If things haven't gone as you planned..."

The pirate now walked past Kia and headed towards the entrance gates of the Coliseum's perimeter. Beyond it in the distance was a mountain with a massive city resting between mountains and the sea.

"Why not change the plan?" he finished, turning his head with a toothy grin and holding out his right hand behind him, not for her to take it but in a motion of "come on" to try and inspire the lass to follow. "Athens is lovely this time of year."

"I really didn't have much of a plan in the first place." she let him know, hesitating a moment, then sighing and followed him. Her plan was...fight something. That 'plan' ruined, why not see this place called Athens. She didn't expect it to be as wonderful as he said, but she had nothing better to do. She was just a wandering traveler with no where to go and nothing to really do. But he didn't have to know that yet.

"Athens, eh?" she asked, looking over the town as she stopped just behind him, then her eyes flickered to his grin. It was so charming that she almost felt more...uncomfortable and suspicious of him. "I assume you spend a lot of time here?" she asked her guide. From what she'd noted of passerbys, he didn't seem to belong clothing wise. He seemed...pirateish.

"Can't say I do," Casey replied as he turned and started the walk to town, only a short ways from the Coliseum. His answer might have surprised her. "But let's just say the few times I've been here are quite... memorable experiences."

The Gummi merchant chuckled to himself as he recalled the parties he and his crew had attended in celebration of their wealth. With enough munny on your side one could have quite a time in Athens. Still, he might have to keep a lower profile this time around lest he get himself targeted as a public nuisance. Kristoph's goal in life was to be legendary, not just spat upon.

"Athens is an expensive city, but it's worth every piece in my opinion."

Kristoph let both of his hands hold each other behind his back as he walked, neck pulled back to give himself an air of authority... though considering his height that probably wouldn't have worked on anyone who wasn't also as short a she. How fortunate that his current companion fit such a bill. The brunet slowed his pace and looked back again with an inviting expression, shifting off to the left of the road as if inviting Kia to come walk alongside him instead of behind.

Kia came up beside him like any normal person would when walking along a path and talking. She may be ferocious, but she wasn't weird. "Well, you've been here more than I have. This was my first time." she replied, peering up at him slightly. Even with him being rather small for a man, he was still taller than her. Four, maybe five inches. He seemed so..important and authoritative. Was it arrogance? She couldn't tell..he seemed too happy to be too arrogant. What a strange man.

"Expensive?" she asked, getting out her money pouch secretly, peeking in it as they walked when she was fairly sure he wasn't watching. She didn't have the most munny in the world... it did cost munny to live, you know. Travelers didn't chance upon munny much, and she couldn't seem to find any jobs to earn some. She hoped she had enough to handle this...Athens. "I hope this place is as good as you make it sound." she huffed, looking back at him with a small scowl.

"Well, its not like they're paying me to be a travel agent," the pirate said in response. Kristoph didn't take too much seriously, and what he did take seriously was rather epic and not likely to come up in casual conversation. "But I can certainly be courteous to a lady when the opportunity arises. I'd be more than happy to treat you to a few things until you're sure the culture is to your taste."

Looking over to his right at the redhead Casey stole a close glance at her clothes and tried to judge her likely monetary worth. Her first time in town... wanted to fight in the Games on a whim... she fit the bill of the "worlds travelers" that were popping up all over the place in this day and age. The very people whom Isaac had made his fortune off of, in fact.

If only he knew her full story. It was quite a mysterious story she was developing, too. Honestly, her monetary worth wasn't too much connected to her clothing. She didn't even know how she got it or where it came from. Frankly, she'd had a lot of munny when she came to herself. It was a shock once she'd realized how much it was really worth in this universe. What she'd done to earn the munny was a mystery as well. But living off that for as long as she had now, she was starting to run a little low.

Stealthily putting her wallet away, she turned to peer at him. Thank you wasn't a phrase she said until it had been earned by friendship. It was sad that she actually had to take a moment and deliberately think of something not-so-nice to say in reply to him. Kia just had to be so guarded, didn't she? "If that's what you want to do." was the best she could think of, so that's what she said to him. "Just remember, I didn't ask you to do this."
