Battle Information

Weapon Name: Sword of the Ancestors
Weapon Appearance: Sword of the Ancestors
Abilities:
Mushu Fire
As a dragon, albeit a small one, it's no surprise that Mushu has the inherent ability to breath out red hot flames whenever he desires, albeit small ones. Mushu's flame breath can shoot out very quickly in a series of smaller rapid-fire shots or as a shorter range stream similar to a tiny flamethrower. While small his fire is just as spunky as he is and is capable of defeating even Heartless opponents. Mushu has no limit to his internal furnace but he does have to stop and catch his breath after each volley, as well as perform these attacks while hiding in Mulan's clothes.
Flametongue
This ability is an enchantment that Mushu casts upon someone other than himself in order to bestow them with the power of fire. While generally used on Mulan herself it can be cast on other allies as well. While under the effect of Flametongue a character is surrounded by a constant aura of flames which propels them through the air with the power of speedy flight. The aura burns up enemies that the character passes by or gets close to during the enchantment. A person Flametongue is cast on can also perform the Heat Lance maneuver, which increases the speed of the flight in a tiny burst while forming the flame aura around them in the shape of a spearhead to maximize damage to whatever enemy they are homing in on. Flamtongue's effect lasts for three turns and the ability itself has a cool-down of six turns from the time it is cast.
Red Meteor
Summoning his strength Mushu rapidly spits up a large number of flames into the air. These flames all collect into a huge red mass within a matter of moments, looking very much like a deadly cloud. This cloud then begins to rain down a large number of fiery missiles onto the entire area in successive volleys, each one cause large explosive reactions when they hit down. This attack can fill an entire area with friendly flame in a matter of seconds, making it very dangerous to Mulan and Mushu's enemies while simultaneously protecting themselves and their allies. This ability has a cool-down of seven turns.

Character Histories
--------------------------------------
Mulan:
In the Land of Dragons, a people called the Huns invaded China, leading the country to war. All the men are drafted, including Mulan's father, Fa Zhou. At the time, Mulan was a clumsy girl who had failed to become lady-like enough for the matchmaker, thus making a mess of things and disgracing her family. Upon coming home rather depressed, she learns of the draft. Mulan loved her father dearly, and knew that he would not come home from fighting because he was too old and couldn't even walk without a cane to help him. Driven by this ultimatum, Mulan slipped into a room in the night containing Fa Zhou's Armor, sword and draft notice. Cutting her hair, she donned the armor and sword, hair up in a bun common for males, and took the notice. She mounted the family's black horse named Khan and rode off to join the army in her father's place as his 'son'. She knew that if she were caught she would be killed for high treason, but she was willing to pay that price to save her father. Besides, she didn't plan to get caught.
Mulan is first encountered impersonating a male soldier. 'He', dubbed Ping, is bumbling and unsure of himself as 'he' tries to get into the Imperial army in the place of 'his' father.
After 'he' meets the trio of Sora, Donald, and Goofy who are acquainted with Mushu her guardian dragon gets them to join the Imperial army as well in order to pay him back for his help during their last adventure. Heartless attack the camp and are fended off, but Shang saw Ping's lack of skill and suggested that he leave. Sora and the others convinced Shang to let Ping go on some training missions with them to prove "himself."
Eventually the group secured the mountain path leading to the village where the army planned to intercept Shan Yu. Once the troops were in the village Mushu spotted Shan Yu entering a cave and convinced the foursome to try and capture him themselves to make Ping a hero. Sadly it was a trap and Ping and Sora had to fight a swarm of Heartless together without Donald or Goofy. When they got back Shan Yu had defeated the troops and destroyed the village while they were busy. They went after him to the mountain's summit where they were attacked by Shan Yu's army of countless Rapid Heartless. Ping used one of the army 's cannons to cause an avalanche and bury Shan Yu with his Heartless under the snow but Mushu, who got shot with the cannon, was under the snow as well and didn't realize Ping had saved the day and won Shang's trust, as well as got the commander out of the way of avalanche just in time and saved his life. That's when Mushu accidentally revealed 'his' secret. Shang didn't kill Mulan for high treason like he should have because she saved him but the troops return to the Imperial City without her or Sora, Donald and Goofy.
After she returned to being Mulan again the group spotted Shan Yu coming out of the snow alive and starting to head for the Imperial City. To make up for his mistakes Mushu helps Mulan fight and she and the others return to the capital in time to help stop Shan Yu's surprise attack. While Shang and the others guarded the Emperor inside the palace, Mulan, Mushu, Sora and his friends all fought against Shan Yu and his Heartless while protecting the castle gates.
After the Hun was defeated Mulan was honored as a hero despite being a woman and Sora, Donald and Goofy left to visit other worlds.
When Sora and his friends visited the Land of Dragons again Mulan and Mushu had traveled back to the mountain village because they'd heard rumors about a spy in the Imperial City being spotted this way. When they got there they reunited with Sora, Donald and Goofy who were also looking for the same figure dressed in black, who they said was a member of something called the Organization.
At the mountain summit a massive army of Rapids appeared again, so Mulan and Mushu, Donald and Goofy all split up to fight off the huge numbers of Heartless while Sora faced off against a man in black amidst the chaos. Sora wasn't able to stop the man but the group would be shocked to see a giant Heartless dragon rise up from the mountains and fly towards the Imperial City.
They returned quickly to the palace where another man in black appeared, but Sora didn't think it was the same one. The man with the eye patch disappeared, leaving them to fight some Nobodies. After meeting with the Emperor Mulan learned that the man in black Sora had fought had come here as well and had quickly defeated Shang just to speak to the Emperor. There wasn't much time to talk though since the dragon's Heartless had arrived. Mulan, Mushu and the others managed to defeat the massive creature, but as it died it began to collapse from the skies towards the girl. Shang came out of the castle in time to see this and ran to her side. They were both saved by the Heartless' body disappearing upon its death.
Back in the palace the emperor wanted to grant rewards to the heroes. Sora only wanted to ask about the man in black who he thought might be his missing friend Riku. Mulan asked if it would be possible for Shang to have a vacation. The emperor couldn't grant her request, but did offer if she would wish to serve alongside Shang as the Emperor's second guardian, and she accepted.
Now Mulan lives more or less in peace serving alongside Shang, but there have been very vague rumors that a certain Hun isn't as defeated as she thought...
Mushu:
Mushu was first encountered in Kingdom Hearts (the first one) as a summon gem when his home world was taken by the Heartless. He helped Sora when needed, and when he Kingdom Hearts door was sealed, Mushu returned to his home world.
Mushu had been downgraded to incense burner and master of the gong ringing since he let his former guardee die in a war. When the event arose that Mulan would need a guardian dragon, her ancestors sent Mushu to wake the Great Stone Dragon. He managed to break the statue and essentially accidentally kill the guardian, so he went himself to help Mulan as an Ancestral Guardian, even though he wasn't.
When Sora and friends show up on Land of Dragons, Mushu is trying to help Mulan (dressed as a boy and taking the name Ping) get in to the Imperial Army. A bit later Mushu accidentally reveals that Ping is a is actually Mulan (a girl). Since it is basically against every rule for a woman to dress like a man, let alone be in the army, she is disgraced and discharged from the army. After fighting the huns and Shan Yu and saving the day, everything returns to normal. Mulan's daily life continues while he stays hidden from others' sight.

It was such a pretty day outside in the Land of Dragons. The cherry blossom trees were blooming, raining their pale pink beauty through the air as well as sweetening the scent of the light breeze. The sun was shining brightly, making every color stand out and glow, yet it wasn't hot. Just a comfortable, nap-worthy warmth.
It was days like these that Mulan didn't mind wearing a dress so much. Sure, she wasn't completely content, but the sheer gorgeousness of her surroundings made her nearly forget all about the garb she was in.
There was a festival today, and her parents had pleaded that she dress traditionally for once and stop looking so boyish. So here she was in her elegant pale pink gown, sleeves nearly reaching her ankles when her arms were straight at her sides, the colorful green and darker pink middle of the dress tied tight to make her womanly curves more obvious. Her face was painted up with the finest of traditional Chinese make-up, face painted white, bright blush liberally applied, eyes brightly shadowed teal, and crimson lips.
Just as the family was about to leave for the center of town, Mulan was summoned via letter to the palace. It seemed there was some trouble, and Shang was in need of her assistance. The letter said immediately, and the messenger had even brought an extra horse along to take her along.
So much for changing into her usual clothes.
"Sorry Father, Mother, but I have to go.." she started off, voice soft and a bit guilty sounding. She hated the thought of letting her parents down, but this guilt was relieved when she saw their approving and understanding expressions as they told her to go on.
With a warm smile she hugged each of them, then mounted the horse in a surprisingly lady-like manor.
"H-yah!" she exclaimed, giving the reigns on the horse a gentle tug and slap to get him moving. Now safely away from everyone, riding along a well defined trail to the palace, Mushu deemed it safe to come out of the pouch made into her sleeve he'd been hiding in. He quickly climbed up her arm and took a secure and comfortable spot on her shoulder, near her ear so she could hear him over the galloping hoofs of Khan.
"Sooo...Shang's in need of a 'lady' to save his sorry behind, eh? How can he protect the Emperor if he can't even take care of himself?" the fiery little dragon ranted, not having much confidence in Shang. Actually, he didn't seem to be too fond of the man.
"Mushu, you know very well that Shang is capable of handling himself and his protecting duties. But with all these heartless attacks we've been having lately, he can't do it all alone. Not everyone has a big mouthed guardian dragon to help them." she reminded her spunky guardian, gently chiding him and teasing him at the same time.
Mushu snorted and crossed his skinny arms, displaying his usual 'I-know-I'm-right' attitude. "Yeah, but you have to admit, sending for your little girlfriend is a little embarrassing. I mean, look at you! You're all giiirly and stuff. I bet he'll feel like a real man when you burst in looking like that and take care of the problem." he chuckled deviously, only to get jostled when Mulan shrugged the shoulder he rested on as punishment, nearly knocking him off. "Hey! Watch it!"
