Everlit Glacier is a frigid tundra would, half covered in show, half in icey waters, Ice is everywhere, most noteably jutting up from the ground in large displays of crystal-like beauty, a soft blue-green glow coming from within (hence the name). Three mountaintops dominate the snowy part of the world, the tallest naturally flattened to harbor a village of people. At the bottom is a seemingly small cave, flanked with glowing ice crystals. Upon trekking deep inside, the temperature gradually heats up until you come to the heart of the cave, where it is a pleasantly warm temperature. This is because a dormant volcano lies within, perhaps also the reason the ice glows.
The heart of the cave is much different from the tundra outside. It’s home to a whole ecosystem. Large, lush forests thrive inside, only ceasing when they meet the edge of a clear water lake which lies at the base of the volcano itself. The area is lit up as bright as day by a large crystal overhead, which varies in brightness through the day between bright daylight and dusk.

Serenity Quinn McOwan was born to a carrot-top family living at the top of the tallest mountain covered in snow. It was the month of May, late on the night of the 16th. Her brother wasn’t too fond of her at first, wrinkling his little three year nose and really wishing for a little brother to grow up with, not a little girl. But like all good brothers, Gavin grew fond of his sleepy little sister who squalled for food constantly. She was kinda cute when she puffed out her cheeks..
Her parents, Greg and Beverly McOwan, were both top notch tailors in the town, nearly everyone's source of clothing in the small stores situated about the town. It's safe to say that Serenity grew up very well dressed and cute as a button. She was a cheerful, sweet child when awake, though that seemed like it was a rare moment unless there was food to be had.
She slowly became a little more active when she was introduced to the little boy next door at four, the age when children started to tolerate the chilly conditions of the world enough to go out and play. Aticus made a wonderful playmate, and ultimately the two became best friends and entered school together. Serenity obviously relied on Aticus to help her survive school. She's smart, but doesn’t do the best in school because she falls asleep in class, especially during tests. Aticus hasn't been above slipping her snacks in class and waking her up during tests, though sometimes she still failed because she'd fall back asleep.
She wasn't aware of Abelial until that fateful day when Aticus and herself ventured to the bottom of the mountain in hopes of, well, Serenity still doesn't know. All she knows is she didn't want to make the long walk, but Aticus possessed a very wanted candybar that Serenity greatly wanted, next she knew she was eating it and halfway down the mountain.
And oh, who should they find inside the shiny cave of magical natural mirrors at the bottom? A boy around their age, seemingly admiring himself in the glowing ice. He didn't seem to happy upon finding them there, and the instant he frowned she recognized him as that kid she sometimes passed at school. The place was too beautiful to be kicked out of...and she didn't see Abezilla's name on it anywhere. He couldn't own it, no one in the village ventured to the bottom of the mountain other than the fishermen on their trips to the slurry seas.
Serenity's and Aticus's stubbornness sealed their fate. The three slowly started to become friends (though the boys fought, leaving it up to Serenity to calm them most of the time), and thus in their play they ventured deeper and deeper into the mysterious cave. The further they got in, the warmer it started to get. Finally making it all the way through the winding tunnels, they emerged in a beautiful, unknown place; the heart of Everlit Glacier. It was warm here...and there were plants and various wildlife, a lake and a tall dormant volcano. This became the three's true headquarters, and where they spent most of their time. Fresh apples were more than enough to draw Serenity on the long walks to and through the cave.
And thus Abelial, Aticus and Serenity begin a long story...

Physical Features:
Really, her physical features lead you to believe she’s a gentle young girl bubbling over in dainty cuteness. She stands at 5’3”, lightweight at 89 pounds, despite her love of eating. She’s not unhealthy in the least, however. She’s still in the blossoming stage of development, possibly just a late bloomer. Her frame is thin, but not bony and unattractive. Much to her dismay, the curves of womanhood are eluding her, leaving her with a somewhat flat chest…but the best food usually takes longest to cook, right?
Facial Features:
Serenity has rather cute features. Her face is round and girlish, with strawberry cheeks causing her to be cute to a fault. Her eyes might be the most noticeable thing about her, large and deep chocolaty brown. Really, they resemble the richest of hot coco. Her cherry lips are pouty and kept glossed, a small button nose placed above them. Her skin is a warm peachy pale, colliding with the citrus orange of her short cropped hair. The orange locks reach to only mid-neck, bangs chopped straight across just above her dark-lashed eyes.
Clothing:
Being the daughter of a tailor, Serenity has a love of clothes unmatched in the small town she lives in. She loves style, so really she rarely wears the same thing twice. Most often, though, you will see her in her fluffy gray and pink coat and toboggan, complete with pink fuzzball on top. But when out of the frigid climate, under the coat can reveal possibly anything.

Really, Serenity isn’t much for jewelry. She has one silver star necklace she seems to wear a lot. As for other articles, she often ties bows in her hair, where ever she feels fit.

Resolve:
Serenity’s resolve is to one day touch the stars, as lame as that sounds. Since stars somehow seem clearer when it’s cold, on Everlit Glacier the night sky has the best view of the stars than anywhere, clear and unaffected by city lights and pollution. Her idle mind muses upon what’s really out there beyond all the snow and ice, though she is also content where she is. You could say she’s particularly indifferent as long as she’s happy. She does like the idea of becoming a famous tailor and fashion designer, her clothing lines stretching to the stars themselves…
In other words, her resolve is nothing more than a 15 year olds dreams.
Pursuit:
Why does she push on? I can’t say she does really. At this point in life, Serenity really likes to sleep a lot. The only way for her not to be sleeping is when she’s eating or spending time with her two best friends. If they talk her into pushing on with her goals or their goals with food bribery, she’ll do it. Well, in the beginning anyway. Once she’s made a promise to someone, or comes to care for them, she’ll stick with it without being bribed with food. Anyway, it is a nice thought to get beyond snow and ice to somewhere new…maybe to those stars she loves..
Fears:
Serenity fears the thought of having no food, or not getting enough sleep. That’s about it. She’s not really afraid of anything else, though death is kinda freaky and she would hate to see one of her friends hurt and close to…that.
Hopes:
What she wants to do before she dies? Maybe explore, become a famous clothes maker, never run out of food, always have enough sleep, maybe fall in love. You know, get married, push out some kids, make their clothes and meet her happy end in her sleep. Ah, sleep…
Hobbies:
Her hobbies consist of sleeping, finding fruit to eat, or keeping peace between Abelial and [insert the other friend] while hanging out in the cave. She enjoys sleeping on peoples’ stomachs. She prefers tubby bellies to hard rumbly ones, but she’ll take what she can get. She loves watching the stars, maybe fall asleep on someone’s belly while watching the stars. She makes clothes for enjoyment, sometimes for her friends. And she expects them to be worn immediately, and if this doesn’t happen she gets rather upset and insulted. She likes to cook as well.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
Serenity is broken up into three different parts in personality.
Her public personality is pretty docile, even mellow. Serenity is not one of those uberly giggly, perky happy girls. She's just..average. She doesn't get too loud, and is pretty cooperative and friendly to everyone. She really is a nice girl to everyone, she just doesn't stand out in class to anyone. She's a completely normal girl, not incapable of grins and giggles. It's just a bit obvious that there's a tomboy streak in her. Sometimes she can actually act a lot like a boy despite being so cute. She seems like she guards her personality from people she isn't close to, only revealing all aspects of herself to those closest to her. Some things do not change, no matter who you are. An offering of food must be made if her participation in games and contests is needed. She's grumpy when forced from a peaceful slumber, and absolutely hates getting less than nine hours of sleep a night. If you somehow convince her to get up early to do something, you will feel her grumpy wrath until she wakes up fully. Most of the time she must be carried out of bed.
Her private personality shows a bit more of herself. With her friends, she has absolutely no sense of personal space, and isn't above draping herself over Abelial or Aticus, also not above passing a chance to sleep on a tummy, either. They make the best pillows in her opinion. She's loud and fierce, especially when trying to make a point or getting the boys to stop fighting. Really, when loud and fierce are combined, she can say some rather..intimidating things, then just smile and giggle right after to make it even more alarming. A natural "charm" she has. Serenity has a rather large stubborn streak, and is prone to giving noogies. She's very physical.
Her sleep personality is by far the most...dangerous. When half asleep, she is fully capable of walking around. She usually cannot speak, though. She becomes abnormally strong and violent, and if you vex her or get in her way she will bite, kick, punch, or hit you with something like a stick as hard as she can. She can also be pushed into this mode if terrified past the point her mind can handle, so instead of passing out she'll go into this mode. She has no memory of what she does when this personality manifests itself, though it's only for a couple minutes at a time, if that long.
