Physical Features:

An unusually slim build is what this unusual young man has grown into. Abelial is smaller than average, minus his widening shoulders. Most of his features are edgy and sharp, a sign of not eating much, and not working out a lot neither. Things like sports have never caught Abelial’s eye. The teen’s biceps and calves are somewhat built, from his constant walks to his cave and back. And, even though he has somewhat of an inactive life, it is starting to change.

Young Abelial has begun to work out for two reasons. One, to partly impress Serenity, and two, not be basically exhausted when he does a round trip from his cave and back. He works out by trying to scale the mountain around the cave, and from the shining sunlight from above, Abelial has developed a nice tan on his skin, changing is once pale complexion to a more mature one.

Facial Features:
Edgy black hair falls down to Abelial’s bony shoulders. He has a few bangs which partly rest on his circular glasses. These hide the intelligent gray eyes he has. A pair of bony cheekbones and a small petite nose also appear, and by some miracle, it all works out that Abelial isn’t entirely ugly. All of his features manage to complement each other in a way. But, if I may say, those long black bangs really can get in the way of seeing sometimes…

Clothing:
Abelial keeps his attire to a level what he calls “stylish, but tacky.” How he comes to this logic, no one ever really knows. A blue jean jacket, with two white X’s on the upper arm of each sleeve, he wears this over a green t-shirt. Said T-shirt has two large orange stripes coming across the chest, somehow making the illusion he has a broad upper-torso. On his legs, he sports a pair of black khaki pants, with a total of six pockets on them. None of these clothes are very important to this certain teen. Call him what they want.

Resolve:

There are not many answers to this question. As any other teenager, Abelial wants change from his old life, and is rather rebellious. Change is what drives him, the desire to see the end of the tunnel. The wanting to know the answer, to know what lies at the end. Morbid in a way, Abelial is comforted by the fact of death. It lets him know that there is an end to everything, and that means that this way of life he lives will end too.

Another large factor for Abelial’s continuation is life is Serenity. 15, she is one of the people who came into his personal cave, along with the other boy named Aticus. A hormonal teenager, Abelial is just head-over-heels for the girl (Thought he wont even truly admit it to anyone but himself). But, subconsciously (and sometimes unfortunately), he gets a glint in his eyes whenever he looks upon her. Serenity is a big motivation for his life, and some of his own personal decisions even come into question when he thinks about her.

Pursuit:

To change, that is why Abelial lives. He wants everything in his meager life to change. He doesn’t want to be constricted by the small bounds of his world or the people in it, and more than anything else, Abelial wants to leave it all behind. But, where to go? And, another big question when you think about that area, would he chose to bring Serenity? And whilst Abelial has wondered about some of these things, they always remain answered.

But behind the desire to change, there is the desire to know. If it was different, what would everything be like?

Fears:

Abelial is afraid of nothing, but the situation not being accepted. He has never talked to Serentiy about his feelings for her, why you ask? Rejection. Why, this fear has topped him from doing so many things in his life. He has never once tried to volunteer to even be a part of something. Rejection, failure, these are Abelial’s true weaknesses, and when they are exploited, they can be a deadly force.

There isnt a lot of backing to why he has this fear, but, there is the explanation that he fears it because of his past school life. Or rather, current, really.

Hopes:

To be… accepted. Abelial has been in society. Ridiculed all his life, and from that, he has hated the fact of rejection. So, to comfort himself, he wishes to be loved , not even loved, just, not ridiculed really. However, in the case of Serenity, well, it would be safe to say he wants to be more than “just” accepted by her.

Hobbies:

Abelial spends most of his time in his own personal cave, usually hanging out with Aticus and Serenity. Serenity especially. They usually talk, set up little minor challenges in which they compete against eachother in.

Also, Abelial takes an interest in peculiar oddities. Things that don’t fit in with others. A misshaped rock, or a deformed tree, they all are rather interesting to this young man. Maybe this is the reason Abelial likes Serenity, who knows?

Public Personality/Private Personality:
In a situation around people, Abelial acts calm, collected, and usually is seen with a neutral expression on his face. He thinks that showing emotion around people will just give them more reason to taunt him. So, naturally, he will barely speak to anyone really, with the exception of Aticus and Serenity, the only two people he truly considers “friends.” And even then, they wont get a lot out of him other than a few sarcastic remarks and some semi-interesting thoughts. That is, of course, if Aticus doesn’t try to fight. In which case, it can be expected you will hear many, many curses and quite a few yells.

In private, however, he undergoes a strange change. He thinks to himself constantly, demoting the world he lives in his own mind. He speaks to himself about the hate he has known to feel, but, its not all bad. When Abelial talks to himself, it seems to rationalize his thoughts into where he can subconsciously agree with it, as well as consciously. Years of a strange upbringing, along with his horrible school life, has morphed Abelial from the nice little boy he was, to a rather cold person, not exactly nice to anyone.

However, when in somewhat, half-private, with say, one person, Abelial has been known to cheer up a little bit. And even be somewhat comical at times. He just has this thing that makes him afraid to be himself in public. Not that he shouldn’t, most people would think he is crazier than what he already is.

History:

Born into a world of beauty and everlasting luster, this certain child was the son of a High Councilwomen and a Fisherman. Now, you might ask how such an outlandish pair was possible? Well, that was simple enough; the world of Everlit Glacier, status was not much of a factor. The community nearly resembled a communist state, but, a working one. No one ever really had a reason to be sad, or talk bad about the ruling. People lived, and had the freedoms they wanted and needed. It was a peaceful life.

But, on that cold winter day of January 21st, a harsh winter storm ravaged the village(Unknowingly, this was caused by a keyblade appearing somewhere among the universe). And as Virgi Anwar went into her painful childbirth labor, something amazing happened. At the exact time he was born, the roof off of their house tore off, and flew all the way over to the mountain. It remained there for many years, for there was never no labor to spare. It rotted, and would become doorway to the one place he could find himself in.

Luckily Abelial gained his mothers intelligence, and his fathers down-to-earth common sense. Obviously a smart boy, he excelled in his school classes. But, a social life, no, it never quite came to him. With his intelligence, he always had assumed people were just jealous. But, arrogance cant always hide everything. No, he came to realize he just wasn’t a liked person, at all. Yes, poor Abelial was the victim of bullies and other school time terrors.

However, at the age of eleven, he found his sanctuary. Wandering through the woods one day, which surrounded the dormant volcano, Abelial found the roof of his own home. Dilapidated and worn out, not to mention rotten, this young boy easily kicked a hole through it. Why he did so, he just points to curiosity, but no, it was anger. And whilst he may hide it from himself, in his heart, he knows it was anger. It was always anger.

But, beyond the rotten wood and shingles, lay his true home. His sanctuary.

A pure crystalline cave, morphed from years of the once burning heat of the volcano, it was now solidified, and ever so perfect. Purple, lustrous crystals were the walls, with smooth polished sides. And whilst reflections could be seen, it was more like seeing a ghost of oneself in the cave. So, ever since its magical discovery, that’s where you could find Abelial when he was not at school or home. The sanctuary.

He would do a number of things while in the safety of the crystals. Read, make funny faces, explore the endless passages. For years, he never broke his schedule, and was sastified with his personal cave. The one place he could truly call his own. It was great, until, it was invaded.

He was thirteen when those two came. Aticus, a cocky popular boy from school, and Serenity, a pleasant young girl which Abelial had taken a liking to. At first, he was rather… bemused that they had invaded his personal space. They seemed rather close, and from his perspective, rather annoying. But, you cant stop fate. And eventually, Abelial grew to deal with them inside of his hangout.

The three grew to each other, and became close friends. And whilst Aticus and him had been known to fight every once and awhile, Serenity managed to calm the two down. Close friends they became, and Abelial, somehow, began to even “like” the girl named Serenity. But, Abelial is a rational person, and still refuses to tell her. He’s just that stubborn.

Now at the age of fourteen, he is the youngest of the bunch, and the most rebellious. He has grown to become bored with his community. A change of scenery would be nice. Something new, different. It would be nice, and deep down, though he may not know it, Abelial wants to leave his peaceful world of Everlit Summit more than anything else…
