History: Our story starts on an Earth identical to our own save for the fact it developed at a much faster pace. It was a planet of technology and industry; cars hovered to and fro, buildings glared with neon lights night and day and androids were made only for servitude. The ultimate suburban utopia had been realized; but at what cost? With such utopian pleasures came so much more problems.
Unable to escape the cycle of war and hate; with their precious technology, humans wiped out most of the world and each other in what is called the 60 Minute War. More than a ten thousand nuclear weapons were launched within an hour. What remained of Earth were wastelands and so a desperate migration to Mars was launched using the remaining resources. Only few attained a seat on the Ships to the red planet, barely a few thousand. The rest were left to die on that desolate Earth.
The early years of settling on the red planet were the harshest; the soil was unrelenting, the atmosphere was scarce and the water was practically non-existent. Many died yet through the blood and sweat, Mars was tamed by men. Over the years, a city referred to simply as ‘The Dome’ became the hub of all life on Mars (the rest being mere farms on the outskirts). As the name suggests, the city state was covered completely by a convex dome that served as an artificial sky to block out the effects of Mars high temperature and difficult atmosphere. Under threat of extinction, technology began to move quickly forward again; surpassing even how it was before. The Dome was a fortress of Science. Unfortunately, the struggling existence of humans came under threat again only this time from what could only be described as large masses of darkness; creepy, crawly creatures of black. Besieged inside their dome, the people for all their technological superiority could not come up with a way to counteract the menace. So, they decided to create someone who could; a genius unparalleled.
This was how the Salem El Solomon was born. Within a test tube in a Science Laboratory, they mixed the genetics of the World’s greatest brains they had discovered or saved over the years; Solomon, Einstein, Newton and so forth. They would create a being with unmatched intellect; the son of a thousand geniuses. Unfortunately, as a by product of their playing God, Salem was born with horns and elfin ears. He was the first man-made human; a homunculus. No matter what he looked like, they thought, as long as he was of use. For this purpose, he was made to age at an incredible rate, reaching 14 years in under 7 months. In the span of but the next few months, Salem had created a self-sufficient army of war androids using his own developed branch of magiscience; the likes of which humans could have never imagined. It was then that the tides of battle with the Heartless began flowing in their favour.
However, despite this, Salem was never seen with a smile. He was always moping, depressed and nonchalant; as if he were as emotionless as the dolls he created. It was the correlation between his behaviour and a string of mysterious disappearances that had authorities investigate; what they found horrified them. No wonder the war androids were so life-like, so adept in battle and so intelligent; they each had human parts. They were a fusion of human, robot and magic. Salem had crossed the forbidden line and experimented on humans.
They prosecuted him. Even without looking behind the veil to see those who controlled his strings, his own creators. Salem had never wanted to hurt others, but like an android, he was subservient to his creators and it was they who forced his hand. It was also they who abandoned him, washing their hands clean, when he was arrested for multiple counts of murder. No longer their saviour, they now saw Salem as a threat to their society (For they already had enough war androids and even the blue prints to their design should the need arise for hypocrisy which humans were oh so good at). As intelligent as he was and despite what he might look Salem was still barely a boy of 2 years then. He was trialled as an adult and he was sentenced to death.
He was saved by three angels. The Moirae Series, three sisters who had understood him and whom had volunteered for his experiments despite his protests. It would be too long, too sappy and too boring a tale to tell of their chance meeting and how they had renewed his faith in mankind; for now, it was only important that they defied their human masters to save their Creator and…friend. Salem wanted to die for his sins, he desired the peace of death to his unnatural existence; yet the three sisters refused that of him. They told him that his life did hold meaning, that repenting did not mean death and that he would go on to discover better, newer things! Stealing a newly developed Intergalatic Ship, they left the human society on Mars behind them.
Salem had matured into a real man in only 2 years, faced with trial after trial. He had resolved to sell his soul to Science, yet at the same time maintaining a sense of morality; Science at the cost of life was not Science. So, he would traverse the Worlds and he would learn with every passing day for no other reason than the blind pursuit of knowledge. He was content with that kind of simple life.

Appearance:
Salem Reference Picture
Physical Features: A toned, sleek body with light, unblemished skin that one would expect from a French male model rather than a Scientist, Salem is, despite this, regrettably shorter and lighter than the average male. He has a healthy build with tight muscles regardless of his lack of activity. A magic seal can be found on the back of Salem's right shoulder; it is a small, red circle (as if drawn by blood) with the shapes of a star surrounded by runic markings inside.
Facial Features: Salem is a handsome man, whether he knows it or not. He is fine featured, almost like a woman. His eyes are a peculiar orange, bright with curiosity, and his mouth is often spread in a think, fox-like smile. His ears are of elfin appearance and from his head protrude to bull-like horns. Salem’s long hair stretches all the way to his waist and is predominantly black, with streaks of orange, matching his eyes, found near the front fringes.
Clothing: Salem is often seen wearing a white lab coat, that has some light fur around the collar area. He has a taupe belt in which he carries test tubes of varying colours. Under his lab coat he wears a black shirt and jeans combo that exposes his stomach. The shirt itself has a single silver stripe down the centre, alongside a downward zip.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles: Salem wears semi rectangular glasses and golden earrings that dangle in pairs from each of his elfin ears.
Personality:
Resolve: Salem has sold his soul to Science; his only goal is knowledge. To learn something new every day, every minute and every second is the dream of all men of Science.
Pursuit: A Scientist seeks knowledge merely for the sake of knowledge; he need no other reason. There is quiet satisfaction in knowing something you did not a minute earlier.
Fears: What Salem fears most of all is the death of knowledge; the omniscient state in which one know everything. It is this perfection which renders a Scientists’ struggle redundant.
Hopes: Salem hopes for nothing less than his own pleasure, one which he can only obtain through his pursuit of knowledge; as a intelligent child would find a simple joy in solving a Rubix cube, Salem finds ecstasy in unravelling the secrets of the universe. Not for the final answer, but the act of solving itself.
Hobbies: Cutting people up…for Science! Or so most would think. Salem doesn’t need hobbies since he already has his life goals.
Quirks: Salem is easily excited over the slightest new fad, finding such happiness in learning something new. Also, he often includes “Ara” or “Ne” in all that he says and has a nasty habit of quoting out of text books and dictionaries. He laughs with a sound resembling “Fufufu,”. He tends to sleep a lot, in almost any position, to recover energy and mana due to having to run a supply for four people (explained below).
Public Personality/Private Personality: Salem does not easily lie so one would expect his public and private personality to be similar. However, he does have a tendency to keep to himself and therein lies the discrepancy. In the public eye, Salem is an eccentric and aloof genius; verging upon madness. He behaves as if he was not part of the same reality as everyone else, but rather one in which he is the sole populace; the King and Slave. Despite being ridiculously intelligent, Salem appears to have the maturity of a Grade school kid. He is whimsical and often spoilt; allowing his own selfishness to dictate his actions. However, despite this, he has the undeniable slyness of a cat; often picking up on things most others would miss. His analytical ability and insatiable curiosity has him scrutinizing everything with that same mischievous glint in his eyes. He has known to be quite sadistic all for the sake of Science.
Being a man who has sold his soul to science; the inner workings of Salem a complex maze of wonder and a very dark one at that. Deep down, Salem is a pragmatic and ruthless realist who would stop at nothing to accomplish his goals. A scientist doesn’t need kinder inclinations, it only hinders progress. In fact a very cynical and cold person who takes some comfort in his chance to behave childishly, Salem never-the-less cannot forget the sins he has committed in the name of science. He does not easily trust anyone, particularly humans. Though a good man at heart, the harsh reality has hardened him and made him realize the glorious imperfection of all life.

Weapons: Explosive Vials, Moon Riders, Rochester
Weapon Name: Explosive Vials
Weapon Description: On his belt, Salem carries unstable concoctions (coming in a variety of colours) that are like hand grenades. Upon sufficient pressure being applied, like falling upon a hard surface, they explode with the same power as a grenade but also create a heavy fog multi-coloured fog.
Unique Notes: Usually the colours are red, blue, green and yellow. Also, breathing in too much of the fog causes light-headedness and a temporal daze.
Weapon Name: Moon Riders
Weapon Description: The Moon Riders are a predominantly silver colour with tings of black in recesses. They are roller blades that have on them advanced traction cups that allow them to traverse any terrain.
Unique Notes: The Moon Riders are able traverse basically any landscape, from upon a water surface to even up a sheer cliff.
Weapon Name: Rochester
Weapon Description: A baton that can discharge electricity serves as Salem’s main weapon; he’s a Scientist, not a fighter after all. It takes the appearance of a black baton with a blue sphere (similar in appearance to a Van de Graaf Generator) on top of one end. With direct contact with the sphere, it can discharge a current that is strong enough to paralyse opponents for one turn. Additionally, he can discharge dozens of bolts of electricity through the air or a conducting surface over projectile range.
Unique Notes: Rochester’s electricity can be used as a temporal energy boost for Salem’s summons, not to repair them but rather to rid them of nasty status effects. It also serves as a electromagnetic lasso (Normal magnets do not work on his summons, but Rochester has specified magnetic forces that attract only to the unique blend of materials they are made of) that only effects Salem's summon. Rochester is held at Salem’s thigh with straps.
Summon:
Name: Moirae Series [Fate Project] – The Sisters Clotho-I, Lachesis-II and Atropos-III
Background: The Moirae Series consists of three sisters named Clotho-I, Lachesis-II and Atropos-III. The roman numeral that comes as a suffix to their name indicates eldest to youngest in terms of when activated (I being the eldest). All three sisters are gynoids (female android) sculptured from a combination of human biology, ceremonial magic and extremely advanced technology; a product of magiscience. Unlike regular summons that appear only when called forth, the Moirae sisters remain with Salem constantly like his own shadow. They each possess an independent artificial intelligence and therefore can learn and mature by themselves automatically; as if they were human. Each of them is by far physically superior to the normal human. A magic seal is found somewhere on the body of each sister; connecting them to Salem by the magic seal on the back of his right shoulder. They are supplied a consistent source of energy from Salem's mana through this connection.
Appearance: Though designed by the same general blue prints and framework, each sister has an individual appearance. However, they share common traits such as the electronics beneath their pale faux skin and the fact they’re all taller than Salem. Though they are often free to wear whatever clothes that strike their fancy, during times of business they wear leather, form fitting black uniforms.
Moirae Series Reference Picture
From left to right; Lachesis, Atropos and Clotho
• Clotho: The second tallest sister, Clotho bears azure eyes and luscious curly locks of pale gold hair. She has a tendency to wear the more provocative kinds of adult clothing.
• Lachesis: The shortest of the sisters, yet still taller than Salem, Lachesis has emerald coloured eyes and braided red hair with a Chinese top knot. She prefers the easy to move in clothes of a tomboy.
• Atropos: Despite being the youngest, Atropos is the tallest of the three sisters, standing a full head taller than Salem. Atropos has golden irises and long, black straight hair. She has a tendency to wear goth-loli.
Personality:
• Clotho: Clotho is a flirtatious and sultry woman, a gynoid who prides herself on being able to seduce any man. Coming off as a mature older woman, she is almost as selfish as Salem himself. However, despite these downfalls, she is perhaps the most loyal to Salem of all the Moirae Series. Her hobbies are of course fashion and shopping, to Salem’s chagrin. Surprisingly, she’s the only person to have yet been able to beat Salem in a game of chess.
• Lachesis: Excitable and childish, Lachesis gets along with Salem best of the three. However, she dislikes mental pursuits; opting rather for physical activities. This causes her to constantly try to get Salem to become more active to no avail. However her brash and boisterous nature serves only to hide the timid woman she is within. Her hobbies involve any kind of sports.
• Atropos: A stoic and introverted woman, Atropos does not speak unless absolutely necessary. Even then, she uses only a few select words. Arguably the strongest of the three, her artificial intellect and analysis at times seems to rival even Salem’s genius. Atropos’ cold demeanour belies the tenderness she is capable of. Her hobby is cosplaying.
Base Ability: Techno-Magick
Sub Abilities:
• Shield Maidens: Each sister is able to generate a force field that rejects all forms of penetration from either side. The force field is in the shape of an equilateral triangle, each side approximately the length of a three adults on end. Whilst generating the force field, the sister cannot move or act in anyway except speak or else the shield will fail. The force field can be maintained for up to three turns as long as the sister using it holds her position; it has a three turn cool-down (regardless of the length it was used for) relative to the sister who used it. The shield can be used even while in mid-air, causing the user to defy gravity and suspend in the air.
• Shock Current: Each sister is able to send their limbs (arm from the elbow and leg from the knee) flying out from a railing wire like a whip or lasso. Using this, they are able to discharge an extremely high voltage from all over their bodies that will even run down the wire. The electricity reaches out from direct physical contact with the gynoids to a length approximate that of an adult arm. This electricity conduct can be used for only a single turn for each sister, with a cool down of three. The electricity deals a high amount of damage, but if the exposure was not enough to be fatal; the body part or limb that touched the electricity will be paralysed for two turns. Because they are connected and share the same energy source, Salem's mana supply, they have to be reserved when using this ability; only four limbs can used amongst the three sisters. Anymore might exhaust and kill Salem.
• Fate's Thread: The ultimate ability of the Moirae Series; with the three of them together they are able to draw a hologram of a trigram magic circle. This magic circle acts as a beacon to the magi realm to open the gate and call forth a horde of hundreds of threads made from a mysterious alloy. This highly advanced alloy has the threads protected against most conventional weapons or mediocre abilities. Despite this, they have the appearance of normal threads and are barely visible. They are all still being rooted within the magic circle yet can reach up to a kilometer in length, give or take. The threads, when binding onto matter, because of their thin yet hardened state produce a very slim blade that will slice or pierce through most Earthly material. They move through the air much akin to how sea serpents would through water; albeit at a very slow pace (about the speed of an adult walking), making them reasonably easy to outrun. The sisters are also able to send their Shock Current throughout the threads to widen the area of reach. Maintaining the circle requires Salem to remain still and channel his magic energy into keeping the gate to the Magi realm open. This leaves him, the 'King' of the Chess Game, open for attack. The ability lasts for up to 3 turns with a cool down of 9 turns.
Elemental Strength and Weakness: They absorb electric/thunder attacks but are vulnerable to water element attacks (Only as spells or abilities however, they can swim in a waterfall without trouble).
