History: Zero grew up in Nibelheim with two others known as Grael and Ember. Grael and he were like brothers and they always got in trouble. When he turned 17, he joined SOLDIER along with Iz. Over the years he pulled himself up through the ranks of SOLDIER and was a First Class SOLDIER. After a ‘simulation’ mission set up by President Shin-Ra and Hojo, Zero was supposedly being escorted to Junon Harbor. However, there was a detour that led him to an uninhabited forest somewhere near the Bone Village. He left the aircraft, he was greeted by the butt of a rifle. While he was unconscious he was taken to Hojo’s lab.
Immediately he was injected with Ifrit’s essence, and that’s when the true torment began. His blood began to boil and pain unlike he’s ever experienced rushed through his entire body as the substance joined with him, mind, body, and soul. He passed out again after enduring the pain. He was plunged into Ifrit’s realm: Hellfire. There, Ifrit unleashed his fury on Zero. After being beat by the fire deity, he was cast out of Hellfire to awaken back in Hojo’s lab. He was on his stomach while Hojo was tattooing his new identity on his back: two Zeroes engulfed in fiery wings that trailed down his back. The professor gave him the name: Experiment 00.
Zero’s mind delved back into the onslaught of fire and appalling demons. There was a specific fiend that stood mightier than the rest. This one had massive horns protruding from its head that curved down slightly. Razor sharp teeth stared at Zero as his eyes grew wide and his jaw tightened in fear. Never in his life had he been so frightened. Sure, he fought off countless foes, some that looked even more terrifying then this one, but that demon radiated the pure essence of fear. Zero attempted to run away but he was unable to move. He stood on no solid ground and there was nothing close enough so he could push himself away.
The mighty demon inched closer to Zero, sweat gathering on his face. “It’s time to take you to my domain,” Ifrit reared his arm back then slammed a powerful fist into Zero’s chest. The mortal wasn’t forced back from the awesome strike, instead, Ifrit’s hand pierced through Zero’s body. There was no pain that overwhelmed him…yet.
Zero could feel the hand in his chest close around something but he didn’t know what. The demon gave of a fell grin and retracted his arm. Within mere seconds, Zero was staring at his empty form which was previously his mortal body. His head shot around, he saw the demon’s hand wrapped around his midsection. Ifrit had ripped Zero soul directly out of his body. Zero gawked at his soul-torn body one more time before plunging into the raging fires below, still in Ifrit’s grasp.
When Zero stopped falling, he and Ifrit were surrounded by white flames, a grand crimson throne stood before them. “I don’t take too kindly to being imprisoned within a mortal,” the demon said lifting Zero to him face-to-face. “You must learn the extent of my power before I cooperate with being apart of you. For only then will you respect my ties to you,” Ifrit dropped Zero and before the soul-torn man touched the ground, the demon struck him with an uppercut. Zero was thrown into a jagged stone pillar, crushing some of the rock from the force of the blow. Zero grunted in pain and slid down the stone post, pain seared his back as he watched Ifrit charge wildly at him. He watched with one eye closed tight due to the stinging pain in the back of his head.
The tower of rock crumbled as Ifrit violently shouldered Zero through it. Stone and debris bashed off of the ground and off Zero. He writhed in pain and clamber away on his hands and knees. A huge hand grabbed Zero and lifted him off the ground. Zero thrashed around, unable to break free. The next thing he knew, he was soaring through the air. He hit another stone pillar, Ifrit’s hand pinning him down. The pressure began to build and the rock began to crack. Zero howled in pain as Ifrit pressed greatly on his body. The pillar shattered and Zero dropped to the ground, rolling over the floor. He panted heavily, blood streaking down his face. The ground shook lightly as Ifrit walked closer. He reached down and picked Zero up by his shoulders and slammed each massive knee into the mortal soul’s stomach. Couching up spittle and blood, Zero slumped to the floor and Ifrit drove his foot into him. Zero flew and rolled a good distance after the strong kick. Blood poured out of his mouth as he grabbed his stomach, incapable of obtaining enough air. His breathing came in shallow amounts, standing was a hard challenge but he was eventually victorious. He turned his head to the last know position of fire deity, who wasn’t there any longer.
An inhumane growl came from above and Zero’s attention was shot to the falling Ifrit. His fist was reared back as he plunged toward Zero. With his jaw clenched, Zero drew back his own fist. The demon and soul-torn man clashed fists. A shockwave of flames radiated from the collision. Both of the opposing forces were shot backwards. Zero slid to a stop and Ifrit flipped in midair and easily landed on the ground. Ifrit snarled, licks of flames escaping his mouth. He hovered off the ground, staring down Zero. Suddenly he charged, his feet gliding slightly off the ground. A vortex of fire engulfed the demon as he neared Zero, trails of fire left in his wake.
Zero lifted his hands in retaliation and Ifrit was halted in the crash of the two. Flames engulfed Zero’s hands, flames that didn’t burn or scorch. These strange flames originated from within Zero. 'A unique new power?' Zero grinned at his newfound ability. Ifrit stared in disbelief and anger; flames engulfed his own hand fire and raced at Zero. The mortal roared and his entire body tightened as black fire spurted out of his knuckles and engulfed his hands. Ifrit’s eyes narrowed in frustration and he ran at Zero once again. The black fire shot up Zero’s arms as he ducked under the fist that Ifrit launched his way. Zero smashed his arm into Ifrit’s stomach and the Fire Lord stumbled back, holding his abdomen. The foe looked down at his wounded body and back up at Zero. Within a moment, Ifrit had vanished into flames.
The beast silently materialized behind Zero and swung a right hook at the man. Zero’s black-flame engulfed hand was suddenly there to block the strike. Ifrit stood slightly leaned over amazed that this mortal could be this strong. Zero elbowed Ifrit in face and the red skinned demon’s head wailed back. Jumping in the air, Zero spun around, flipping upside down in the process. His right leg outstretched, putting more power behind the oncoming attack. He flipped upright, still spinning and slammed his foot into Ifrit’s side. Black flames exploded on contact and Ifrit was blasted away as he slammed into the throne that idly watched the conflict. The top of the throne was ripped off as Ifrit passed through it. Ifrit bounced off of the tough ground before standing again. He dusted himself off as if nothing happened.
Months went by and a strange event led to Zero being drawn back into Hellfire. Ifrit wanted released, more for Zero to escape from the lab because escaping Zero’s body would be damn near impossible. Ifrit began to attack Zero, who was helpless to the relentless onslaught of punches and kicks when something unique happened. He retaliated with Black Flames, a trait only Ifrit could pull off. Zee defended himself with great strength and ceased the fight soon after. Ifrit was impressed with his abilities and decided to lend the mortal some of his power. Zero fell into a coma so his body could adjust to the newfound power.
When he woke, he was in a berserk rage, forgetting most of his past. He did have recollections of some of his life as a SOLDIER but everything else was a blur. His coma had lasted three years and he was literally overflowing with stored power. He unleashed his fiery rage on Hojo’s lab, completely destroying it. Hojo, however, managed to get out alive and escape in a helicopter. Zero’s fury lasted a week and he single handedly destroyed countless areas on the rage. At the end of the rage, Zero was confronted by a jet black, 4-legged, yellow-eyed creature. Zero hadn’t ever seen it, or anything like it, before. He managed to kick it away and it fleed. Moments later, it had come back only with more exactly like it. They all stared at him as screams from around the building echoed out. A pool of darkness swarmed from the group of black creatures and engulfed all around him. He could feel his body fall into the blackness but then he couldn’t feel anything anymore...
By the time he was conscious again, he noticed he was no longer in his world. Fire and brimstone towered around him. It was somewhat familiar but still frightening. Ifrit had drawn him to Hellfire for his own safety, ironically. His world had been destroyed by a force known as the Heartless. In Hellfire, Zero remained for at least a year. Zero continued his training here, day in and day out, but even he knew that training had no real value to actual experience. Ifrit knew this as well and if Zero was to master Pyromancy, he’d have to find a new world to exist on.
Ifrit guided him to this strange new universe. He lived in this realm for about six months, getting acquainted with the settings and some faces.[/i]

Appearance:
Physical Features: Zero stands at the average of 6’1”; not short but not gigantic. His thin, but tough frame makes his body light and sturdy. The muscular portion of his body gives him a slight bulk added to his frame. A naturally white skin tone has been stained with a barely noticeable red hue. Throughout his skin are numerous scars. On his back are four unseen round scars hidden by his large tattoo. His right forearm is blemished by a large burn in the shape of a ball of fire. The skin has risen slightly where the burn is etched.
Facial Features: The first noticeable feature about Zero are his deep maroon eyes. His sleek and cunning eyes are an indicator of his knowledge. He keeps his face clean shaven as much as he can. While it may seem synthetic, his hair has been changed from light brown to jet black with red highlights through the experimentation he endured. Throughout his life, his hair has been short and spiky, except when wet. Usually hidden, a notable feature is his elongated canines. Pointed, and slightly longer than the average person’s canines, they prove to be pretty useless and unnoticed. A short slit scars the far edge of his right eyebrow, leaving a small section missing.
Clothing: His double layer of shirts fit well over his broad shoulders. A tight and vibrant crimson long-sleeve shirt provides the underlayer while an un-buttoned black, short-sleeved shirt lies atop. On the long red sleeves are gray flame designs embroidered rising from the cuffs. A thick leather belt holds up his baggy, black pants. Embroidered flames also rise from the bottom of the pant legs and end at the shin. Partially hidden under his pants are ebony and scarlet skate shoes. Zero ditched boots a while ago after realizing that skate shoes were more comfortable.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles: Even through the experimentations, Zero wore a metal ring; a silvery band with a wavy black strip in the center. Two solid circles, gray and white, connect the black strip. His most profound feature is the large black tattoo covering his entire back. Two large, firey and intricate wings stain his back from the outside of the spine to middle of the shoulder blades and down to the small of his back. Located overtop the wings are two solid zeros. The entire piece was the proof of his experimentations, being put there by the scientist. A thin, metal chain links his wallet to his belt loop. The wallet itself is a charcoal gray, tri-fold with a skinny metal plate in the shape of a flame.
Personality:
Resolve: Zero must discover the secrets of the deity that resides within his soul. Over the years that Ifrit has been infused with Zero, he has learned many secret the fire god possesses and even how to harness the new power he’s been granted. Even though Zero is quite familiar with Ifrit, there are still numerous secrets, riddles, and goals that he must solve and accomplish by the end of his life. The big thing is that he must master the art of Pyromancy but there is more to mastery than throwing around fireballs and catching things aflame. Fire is alive and can grow and feed without need of a master. To be able to fully harness the life of fire, work with it as one and understand its duality is to truly master it. If he can master Pyromancy then at the end of his mortal life, he will take on the role of Fire God, replacing Ifrit. If he fails to master the art, he’ll die a befitting death for a pyro. He’ll spontaneously combust and continue to burn until even his soul no longer exists. But not only that, the lineage of Fire Gods will cease to exist as well.
Fears: Zero has witnessed sights most people won’t see until their sinful lives end so there isn’t a whole lot that can scare him. His greatest fear is of the very thing that he embodies. The fear of his own flames consuming him is what causes him to press on. And become stronger as he does so. Just the thought of that unbearable death is more than enough reason for him to keep moving forward.
Hopes: Strangely enough, Zero wants to explore the strange new universe he has been dumped into. His curiosity has always gotten the best of him and usually caused him problems and it still didn’t deter him. At the current time, he just wishes to know more about why exactly how world was destroyed and the secrets that force possesses.
Hobbies: Zero has the urge to light anything he can on fire. It can often distract him from current issues but it can kill time when time needs to be killed. He also has a tendency to be a womanizer which can get him into trouble in more ways than one. Mythology is a subject he delves deep into; studying multiple mythologies, he has familiarized himself with the different kinds. His competitive side is what usually takes up a lot of his time, whether it be fighting, racing, insulting, etc.
Public Personality/Private Personality: In the public eye, Zero has a tough exterior as well as stubbornness to boot. He is the typical leader type of a group but can just as easily allow someone else to take initiative if he feels they are suited. He can have a sharp tongue at times which often makes him come across as an ass. Exceptionally witty and satirical are his nature. But overall, he manages to stay calm and level headed. He has a tendency to conceal some of his more serious emotions from the public.
While by himself, he turns more introverted and thoughtful. When his alone, he’s usually relaxing and allowing his mind to wander. He often thinks about his future and how his fate will unfold in the end, whether he’ll actually be able to control his volatile fire or if it will engulf him. The goal is far off and may take years or decades to accomplish. And in this quiet state is where he comes up with fighting tactics that may be effective.

Weapons:
Weapon Name: Oblivion Flames
Weapon Description: A hellish looking sword with a fiery red blade. It holds a blackened razor edge and normally has a reach farther than the average sword. Overall, there is no glossy finish to the sword, giving the entire weapon a flat color. The sword was forged in the hottest flames of Hellfire and even if it were to be physically destroyed, it can be remade from the flames in which only Zero possesses. His sword can be summoned to him at anytime even if it has vanished from this plane of existence. The sword, when summoned can range from different sizes.
Unique Notes: When Zero goes into his berserk stage, his sword transforms as well. The Berserker Fang is the morphed version of Oblivion Flames. It gains immense strength and speed but only lasts as long as Zero is in his rage. The appearance of the blade has turned darker and larger.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Pyromancy
Sub Abilities:
Freeburst- Freeburst is exactly what it sounds like. Zero is able to conjure flames at will. The amount and intensity is purely up to what Zero needs to accomplish his goal. The maximum amount of flames he can create would be able to fill a 100x100 cubic foot volume and the flames can reach up to 3500 degrees Celsius. Freeburst only allows minor manipulation of fire. Only basic shapes can be formed, like spheres, cubes, and cones, but they can be contained and maintained. But to achieve the most effective attack, flames must be released freely, meaning it would be more like a flamethrower, just point and fire.
Hell’s Tempest- A solid orb of extremely dense flames is formed roughly the size of a beach ball. Flames are manifested normally but are contained within a certain parameter. This causes the flames to congregate in this one location, building pressure and mass. Within mere seconds, enough fire will be created to an overall weight of 250 lbs. The hovering orb is then spun rapidly before it releases its payload in a shower of solidified flames with the firing rate of about 30 shards per second. The spray can range from a single file line of fire to a 360 degree blast.
Resistance- Zero has built a resistance, and in some cases an absorption, to fire-based inflictions. Traditional, or natural fire, can actually restore Zero to a small extent if he has been injured. Anything up to a large gash can be healed by natural fire. Natural fire is just that, natural. Fire used in magic, however, is unnatural. This unorthodox flame is unable to harm Zero in anyway but it provides no aid to him either. And because of his natural affinity to fire, Ice is also deterred by his nature. He’s not 100% immune to ice, but it has minimal effect on him.
Heat– Zero is able to drastically change the temperature around a specific area. It is normally a 5-10 diameter dome that is cascaded in heat, but can range from a few inches to about a 15 foot diameter. He can create this heat without the use of any fire. The temperature can reach unbearably high within a few moments. With the ability to add heat, he can also draw heat from a specific source, making it colder. Like its opposite effect, he can drop the temperature exponentially. It can cause almost a flash freeze in a limited area. The size of an area can effect how fast the temperature changes. The smaller the faster it changes, bigger changes slower.
Phoenix’s Warmth- The title of this ability is a huge understatement. Many view fire as a destructive force but they fail to see the duality of the element. Fire has the ability to destroy, but it possesses more ability to create. When this ability is cast, the target's body will begin to regenerate over time due to a healing fire. However the downside to this is that it will inflict burning sensations within the body but it doesn't cause any physical damage. The longer it is active the more the burning pain increases. For smaller wounds it would hurt less for the least amount of time but for larger wound it would cause a great deal of pain for an extensive amount of time. It can leave a person twisting in agony as it heals their body, if the damage is critical enough. The healing can last from one up to five posts depended on how bad the damage is.
