Long ago, in a far off kingdom, lived a girl. Because of her power, the kingdom had come to an end, crumbling under its own weight. Many became engulfed in the temporal vortex that was created, never to be heard from again...
But not the girl. She lived on, enduring a much sadder fate... Running from her past and fearing her future, she wanted nothing more than to be swallowed up in the surging waves of the vortex of time... Hating what she'd done, refusing what she'd said or heard, to simply continue living was her curse. But the stone,
It had other plans for her...Turning back the hands of her clock, scattering her memories, she was granted another chance. Since the precious stone was in her possession, she carried with her all its will and power. And so, she was born into this era, returning to reality as a mere infant...
That was Kid's past, as Schala Zeal. As an infant, she was found by an inventor; one who had fought the tides of time itself, or so others could say. The inventor had a small orphanage, and Kid lived happily under Lucca's care. When Kid reached the age of 10, however, an army invaded the orphanage, and wrecked the entire place, killing Lucca in the process. The reason? Presumably the Time Egg, or Chrono Trigger, which Lucca had, by then, given to Kid. Of course, Kid didn't take well of this, and stormed to the mansion of the aggressor: Viper Manor, where Lynx presided. Naturally, a 10-year old stood no chance, but rather than death she was rescued by a mysterious, cloaked and masked man who introduced himself as (Ma)Gil.
The two departed from there, and Kid grew up under his care. Six years later, she ran into a boy named Serge in a remote town, and together, the three became the "Radical Dreamers", the "Thieves of Fate" who made the impossible possible.
'f course, that all changed when Kid learned of the Frozen Flame, which was in hte possession of Lynx. Lynx, the bastard that killed Lucca. So the trio went to Viper Manor once more, which they infiltrated and eventually squared off against Lynx in. Lynx survived; the Crono Trigger was used and broken, revealing to Kid her past as Schala. Schala, who had summoned Lavos, had been turned into Kid by the Frozen Flame's might, and the Crono Trigger had returned the memories she'd lost in that process.
In the aftermath, Serge was left alone while Gil and Kid fled into the night. A number of events occured from then onward: Gil, whose real name was Magus, had been Janus in the past, brother to Schala. It was an odd gathering, but not one they had much time to think of. Through a series of various events, Kid found herself stranded among worlds, none of which her own. Was this... A rift in dimensions? She didn't know. But, knowing she'd surely meet Magus and Serge again, the girl set off, continuing her lifestyle as before while always remembering her past as Schala.

In the Chrono Cross canon, Schala is instead half-merged with Lavos, with her other half being a clone, Kid. In Radical Dreamers, however, the entiriety of Schala is reborn as Kid and Lavos never came into the picture. Since I think having a Time Devourer that wants to eat all spacetime isn't exactly a desirable thing here, the Kid from Radical Dreamers works a lot better, no?

Resolve: She actually has multiple resolves. One is to learn as much of her past as is possible. A second is to find Serge and Gil again. A third is to continue on her quest for riches, and steal that which others think cannot be stolen. Steal from the rich and give to the poor! ... whereas Kid is the poor one, mind you.
Pursuit: Well, she ain't got anythin' else to do, mate! Whaddelse would she be doin', bloody settlin' down?! There ain't no adventure in that!
Fears: She hasn't displayed any fears whatsoever, and seems to be mostly fearless. A sub-scenario mentions her mumbling about her small chest size, which might indicate she does somewhat worry over people gossiping about things she can't really affect.
Hopes: To live a normal life. Probably one in which she doesn't repeat the folly of her past, and preferably one in which Serge is included.
Hobbies: Cooking is secretely one of her fortes. 'f course, she wouldn't cook unless you ask her, and even then... I wouldn't count too hard on it. Any other hobbies? None that I know of, that's f'r sure.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
A boisterous young lady with a sharp tongue. Sometimes, she talks before she thinks. Okay, make that most of the time. She exaggerates every other word, speaks in an Australian English accent, and seems to have little regard for others. Listening to others? Forget it, she's too caught up in herself to bother. Suppose you had to kiss her to save her life? She'd kick your ass for taking her first kiss. She's not that grateful at all, and will treat even an ally with rudeness. If she didn't know 'im, o' course. If she did, she'd just... wait, nevermind. She treats those rudely as well. She's uh, let's just say what she wants goes.
Inner personality? Well, she's a lot nicer than she actually looks, especially now that she knows of her past as Schala. She misses Lucca, who raised her, and does take a liking to others. Even if she won't admit that. As Schala, 'f course, she used to be a lot more obedient, demure and quiet, so it definitely contrasts with her present attitude. She fancies herself a sort of Robin Hood, who steals from the rich and gives to the poor, and generally doesn't appear to notice much of her flaws.
