Audition post (400 words):
^{I'm aware I have little outer dialogue set here. If that's a problem, tell me and I'll write a new post! I just wanted to try making an audition post that would be exactly what I'd post in an RP rather than fabricate a post to explore the entire personality et all of the character in question. Also, I threw in a few Cerberus Dirge influences into Yuffie, since uh, yeah, she's too bland for my tastes in KH2. So that's where her spoony heroism comes from! Also, blatant references to FF7.}

"Something's been odd with the town."

"Don't worry! I'll check it out."

"Yeah, it'll be easy. Just you watch!"

And so, she stood straightly perched atop the highest pole in town. Her grey, purplish eyes scanned the area below her. Or rather, she overlooked the chaos that had erupted in the Radiant Garden's marketplace. Just moments ago, this had been a quiet place; where shoppers went to shop, where salesmen went to sale, and where children went to child. Wait, no, play. It had been a peaceful and dreadfully calm day; well, aside from that Yuffie had been noticing some scruffy actions in town.

As a member of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee, Yuffie prided herself in her skills as a ninja, and her multitude of talents. There was simply nothing she couldn't do! Whether it was to sell little magical orbs that may or may not lead to worldly salvation, or report a battle at a place that never existed or sneak and spy around, Yuffie was certain she could do anything! Well, she was the great ninja Yuffie, after all. And what kind of great ninja'd have shortcomings?

Well, so anyway... Yuffie prided herself in those skills, and upon noticing a band of suspicious looking visitors had entered town (seriously, a white cloaked guy? Doesn't get more suspicious than that!), she had placed herself strategically atop a high pole.

Before she knew what the hell was going on, though, and with mouth wide agape, the quiet scenery had quickly turned to a tumultous warhole, with a nasty dragon-like monster being, seemingly, the nail that jammed shut tranquility's coffin. Still, still, it was nothing she couldn't handle. A wide grin crept over Yuffie's face once she had taken those precious few seconds to recover from the surprise, and already had surprise made gang way for confidence.

Yes! Opportunity! Here was a chance for her to vanquish the darkness and bring the light! Great Ninja Yuffie was on the scene! And, with reckless abandon, the young ninja decided to plunge into the field of combat itself! She performed a quick handseal, vanishing where she stood, only to re-appear, in full sprint, on a roof-top much lower from the pole she'd stood upon.

Oh, yes, this was going to be it! Her moment! "Here we go! Yuffie on the scene!" went her battlecry, as the girl was close enough to the monster; she leapt, flipping backwards while her large, trademark shuriken whizzed through the sky with alarming speed. Time to help out!

Ah, my least favourite female FF canon.

There isn't really much about Yuffie to capture with a post, but you've captured what there is very accurately. The borderline hyperactivity that she has in that she's always eager to get going with something and always be busy and jump at the chance to get into a fight and the general naiveness in that she often often runs into situations without much thought, simply with the benefits of achieving what she's after in mind rather than the consequences.

...I really don't know what to make of the post. I mean, it definately shows Yuffie, but it more shows that you can resemble Yuffie in your OOC. That's important, but what's more important is being able to capture the actions and dialogue which the canon character has.

I'm going to stay on the fence with this one. Sorry, there's just not enough for me to accept it, but enough for me to not deny it. The next mod will have to decide.

It seemed like it was more narrating Yuffie's day than it really was Yuffie, IMO. OOC wasn't the right word I suppose.
