Name: Hawk. Just plain and simple Hawk, he's never mentioned any names of his other than his first name.
Alias: The Dark Phoenix. He has gone under this disguise name according to his abilities, but sometimes he has been dubbed Eagle Eye, because of his far-sightedness.
Age: Estimated to be 33, not entirely accurate however, because he always looks a somewhat different age every time you see him. He never looks under eighteen, never looks older than fourty.
Gender: Male
Race: Hawk is a humanoid, mainly because of the odd shape of his tongue. Usually, it is normally shaped, like a human. But when he is fighting or is very angry, it changes shape to that of a snake's. It is safe to assume him as a snake-person for this.
Alignment: Villain.
Origin: He comes from the Kingdom of Lyme, a not very well-known world, despite how glorious and prosperous it seems to its dwellers. A wide expanse of nature, mainly trees and grasslands and meadows made of flowers, cover this world. Near the edge of the world, there is Dragonblade Valley, which is the crossroad between Lyme and other worlds. To get there, one must cross the Katholion River, well-known by the inhabitants for its clean, drinkable waters. The most notable thing about the world is the Castle Nermicos, built on a small patch of land with moat surrounding it. It is a beautiful castle, with tall towers and perfectly-sown tapestries that hang off the walls. There are a few surrounding villages and towns, that remain unnamed for the time being. He came from this castle, grew up amongst the royalty, hustle and bustle, and friendly folk.

Appearance:
Physical Features:
No matter what age he appears to be, his body appearance never changes, with exception to his height. He is your average man, however, he isn't as strong as he should be, and so he is somewhat lean - there is barely any signs of muscle whatsoever. He stands at approximately 5'1" height, though sometimes he's known to be a very tall man. His weight always stays at 124 pounds, no matter how tall or short he is.
His hair is of a deep black colour with dark crimson red streaks, barely noticeable amongst the black. It is long, always pulled into a somewhat spiky ponytail, with a strand of hair down the left side of his face and a small bunch down the right, almost covering his right eye. Most assume that he uses hair gel to keep his hair this way.
Facial Features:
He always looks like he's plotting something. In his deep, shark-like black eyes there's always a somewhat mischievous expression, which most find hard to trust no matter how sincere his words may seem. Below his eyes is a ski-sloped nose, rotund at the tip and pointing upward. His jaw is circular and his chin pokes out. His lips are of average thickness and are almost always curved into a peculiar smile, mostly of evil nature. If someone decided to kiss him, they would find that they are cold and unfeeling, yet somehow soft and tender. These features could look somewhat childish, which might catch someone off guard, or they could be utterly mature - not a good sign for many.
Clothing:
Hawk wears elegant, yet simple clothing. A long, brown, and usually open trench coat extends to his knees, with a fairly large collar lining his neck. Under this trench coat there is a plain, white shirt with elbow-long sleeves that hugs his long, gaunt torso. Slender, black dress pants stretch to his also black, 2-inch platforms.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles:
Hawk holds onto a black top hat and when he's trying to keep a low profile, he wears it. It has a small, slightly inward curving crown and a wide brim so he can pull it over his eyes.
He also wears one crescent-shaped gold earring in his left ear.
Personality:
Resolve:
Hawk doesn't really have a goal in life. He just lets it happen to him as time passes, satisfied with the simple pleasures that life offers him. He's glad he makes a difference in people's lives, preferably having a negative impact on the person, rather than a positive one.
Pursuit:
He simply wants to profit himself, and nothing else. He saw no reason to choose anything else amongst all the possibilities he had. Sometimes, he still goes over all the remaining possibilities, and every time he does, he realizes no reason to choose the better ones. People see him this way, and they think that people like him are unchangeable. It might actually be true, in his case.
Fears:
He's never actually shown any fear to anyone, but he does have fears that people can use against him. If there was anything he was to be afraid of amongst all fears, he fears death the most. He fears growing old and dying, or being killed in battle. He kills, sometimes with the thought in mind that everyone must face it, just as he must, some earlier, and some later. Besides death, there is some minor fears, such as heights, closed in spaces, and extremely bright places.
Hopes: While he doesn't have a specific goal in life, he had used to hope that someday he would be a scholar, but he has put that far behind him and now hopes that maybe someday, he'd be able to outwit the cleverest person amongst all worlds. Only recently, he has heard of a man that goes by the name of Ansem the Wise, and, intrigued by his name, hopes to one day meet this man and challenge him.
Hobbies: When he isn't traveling and plotting plans, he has found it in his interest to search for and read old manuscripts. This is the only hobby he has ever revealed to anyone, so none of his other hobbies are yet known to others. Some theorize he likes to cook as well, because they often smell the scent of food when they are in his presence.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
Public: Hawk, in public, is usually a very sarcastic person. No matter what the situation is, he will make a comment on almost anything and everything that anybody says. He won't take orders from anyone except himself, though, on rare conditions, he may make exceptions, depending on the circumstances.
He doesn't respond too well to a person who rants on and on like a broken record, he won't say a word at all. You can never tell if he is happy or sad, he always has a sarcastic smirk on his face, though if he doesn't get what he wants when he wants it, he will pout and give people the cold shoulder. He often bribes people to doing things for him. He hardly ever feels pity for someone, and if he is ever pitied he never notices it. When embarrassed, he stutters a little, but remains the same as he usually is.
He doesn't respond too well to the feeling of love, he has never experienced it before and therefore, has no idea how to deal with it. Extremely happy or lovey-dovey people disgust him, and he cringes whenever someone shows that. He is more alert than when he is alone, very aware of his surroundings and on the lookout for everything and anything that might help him. He prefers having other people do his dirty work for him, and that's why he bribes people.
He blackmails and lies to get what he wants out of that person, and then tosses them aside as if they meant nothing at all. He sometimes waits until a critical moment, and then backstabs the person, to make the blow even more serious than it should have been. He enjoys seeing people suffer, and he had grown up being that way, so the feeling of guilt or grief is absent whenever someone dies on his account. It comes natural to him.
Private: His private personality differs somewhat from his public personality. He barely ever smiles when he is alone, though he doesn't miss being around people much. He doesn't seem to notice his surroundings much, and while sometimes he is aware of things suspicious, he does not always catch these things.
He's mostly quiet when he's alone, and because of this, all his words go to his head. He thinks, and so he is less aware than when he is with people. He finds it hard to trust or love anyone, and if he did, he wouldn't realize it. He doesn't know what love is, and even if someone explained, it would be hard for him to understand. Sometimes, when he's alone, he thinks over why people love, but he never even makes an attempt to understand the feeling itself. He believes that it isn't understandable no matter what - he's been through several years of his life, and he still doesn't understand it - and that it should be tossed away for other things.

Weapons:
Weapon Name: He calls them Grapplings Claws.
Weapon Description: They are quite simple, really. There are three claws close together, attached to special arm wraps, screwed on those wraps very tightly so they won't fall off. As the trench coat sleeves he wears are somewhat wide, they are hard to spot. They are on those arm wraps for swift and easy access when he needs them, They are fairly long, almost as long as his forearm. The tips curve over like a cane, making them useless for stabbing at someone, but for swinging, they can be devastating. The arm wraps are fastened on somewhat tight, so it would take a while for them to fall off of him. They are a little under an inch thick, and have professionally sharpened edges. They are concealed also not because of his wide sleeves, but because his base ability is illusion, he can make them disappear when they are actually there, but only around people.
Unique Notes: Because of the curve like a cane on the claws, they can be used to hang off things, jump from place to place, as long as there is something to hang off, he can use these to his advantage.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Illusion
Sub Abilities:
1) Self Illusioning: Hawk may turn himself as ghostly as his own illusions, unable to be attacked by physical attacks. Physical attacks will just pass through him, while certain magical attacks will throw off his ability and return him to normal. He is still able to attack in this state, but only with magical attacks. It lasts three posts, and has a cool-down of six.
2) Area Delusion: Hawk is able to change the image of the area he is in for his opponent and (possibly) himself. It would match the worst fear of the opponent that Hawk assumes to be, by the appearance of the enemy and the way he acts around certain things. It lasts for four posts, and the cooldown is eight posts.

History:
Coming from a very wealthy line of nobility, Hawk was spoiled and pampered as a child, and became a spoiled brat early on. All the other children hated him because if he didn't get his way, he was mean and he always found another way to get what he wanted.
Early in his childhood, he wanted to be a keyblade bearer. Ever since he'd heard about them, they sounded absolutely fascinating. Oftentimes, he would pretend he was a keyblade wielder fighting evil. Using a stick as a keyblade, the games he made were very creative in his parents' eyes.
He was well-educated by his tutors and even though he didn't like his studies, he pursed his lips together and learned it anyways, because he knew that even if he went to his parents to get out of it, they wouldn't allow him to. He tried to do that over twenty times over the many months. Later on, he began to grow fond of his studies. It grew more interesting to him, and he longed to find ancient texts and old scripts that might tell him more about history. Quite simply, he wanted to become a scholar.
Wanting to become a scholar made him give up his want for being a keyblade bearer acquired early on in his life. He soon believed that a keyblade didn't exist; that they were a myth created by some people who felt weak and powerless. Many times he was told that the keyblade wasn't a myth, but being as stubborn as he was, he wouldn't believe.
Reaching adult age, he became more snobby than as a child, because he had freedom. He became hated even more, and to keep a low profile, he dressed in what he dresses now. He saw the need to hide, just in case people developed an urge to hunt him down.
With the freedom that came with adult age, he began to study spell-casting, mainly ice. As he studied at one time, he came across a book containing illusion, and finding it appealing, he abandoned the spell-casting and began with the book of illusions. He took several months to practice it and eventually master it, though the latter never happened.
Ansem the Wise's name reached his ears as he read his small pocket book with his notes in it from his studies of ice and illusion. The event that happened, Hawk remembers today as though it had happened only a short time ago.
It was late on in the day; not many people roamed the streets of Hawk's hometown at this time. Not that he cared, because he was a night owl - he was often seen out roaming the streets at 3 AM, though nobody knew his purpose.
His black, shark-like eyes stayed fixed on the tiny book he held in his palm and the handwriting on its pages. He had read this several times before, and was well-acquainted with its contents.
As he ran his eyes over the familiar words, his keen ears caught words of a passing duo. He couldn't help but eavesdrop.
"I haven't seen any weird creatures running around lately, Mal. You think Ansem the Wise regained his common sense?"
"Come on. He's always had common sense, and more. If he didn't, why would he be called Ansem the Wise? He's the smartest person most people know about here."
Hawk's lips curved into a mischievous smile.
That was him. That was the person he was looking for. Ansem the Wise could help him become a scholar...
But just exactly where would he find him?
Hawk's hopes had raisen that day. Since then, he has been trying to track down Ansem the Wise. He travels from world to world in hopes that he might find this man, and that he better be what Hawk expected, or he wouldn't be happy.

Hawk is able to change his height (from 5'0" to 6'3", and with his 2-inch platforms that would be 5'2" to 6'5") and his age (never less than 18 and never more than fourty).
Now as for me... I hope his history is acceptable. I nearly had a heart attack when I looked in the canon list and saw that Ansem the Wise is reserved for plot purposes, but I thought that if my history isn't okay you guys would let me know. ;;;
