Interactive Fiction -
Features multiple plots and endings. The reader determines the structure of the story by choosing from different alternatives at the end of each chapter.
If any of you have ever read one of those "Choose Your Adventure" books, this'll make a ton of sense. If not, I'll explain.
Basically, I'll set up a scene. I'll tell you where the exits/entrances are, and some basic objects in the area. For example:
You are in a dense forest. There's what appears to be a clearing to the north. You hear rushing water to the east. Some of these trees look rather odd.
From there, you let me know what you want to do.
I want to examine the odd looking trees.
One of the trees looks climbable.
Climb the tree.
You climb the tree and look around. Man, it's high up here. Oh my god! What is that? A boa constrictor wraps around you and squeezes the breath right out of you.
YOU HAVE DIED.
Would you like to Undo or Restart?
Easy enough?
No, there won't be that many situations where you can die from something. And there won't be any instant deaths, unless you do something really stupid like Walk into the fire.
I'll run four of these mini-quests to start out, and perhaps I'll expand as we go on.
And don't worry, I'll reply every time that someone has posted. Meaning, if three people have their own separate mini-quests, I'm not going to wait for all three to post in order to reply.
Post if you're interested, or if you have questions or anything like that.
EDIT::
The following people I am using as part of my QM audition
Trap
Bilby (Try #2, Heroic)
Violinist
Upsilon, WhiteSong, Bilby (Try #1), and twilight are either taking too long or they were intentionally straying from the obvious plot.
