I call the waiter and ask what the booth by the kitchen entrance is for. Someone special?

Trap:
The waiter shrugs. "Nothing really. It's just a booth for regular customers." He then asks you if you want anything to eat.

I decline eating, and tell him I'm waiting for a friend. I examine my surroundings to see how many doors there are, and the surroundings of each door is easiest to get in and out of the restaurant through.

Trap:
You look around nonchalantly, looking at all the doors and entrances. There are skylights in the roof, but you aren't sure how those can be helpful. There is a set of double doors at the entrance that you came in. Facing your target, there's a door to the kitchen in the far left corner and a hallway in the far right corner. You can't see what the hallway is for, but there are obviously cooks and waiters running back there every so often.

I look at my target to determine what he's eating and with whom.

Trap:
You look at the man. Burly. He's munching on a big, juicy steak smothered in A.1. and mushrooms and then there's mashed potatoes and gravy and green beens with a nice bit of butter on it..... Your mouth begins to salivate. But now is no time to eat!
And he's with his wife, if you care to know... Odd that he's married. And she's his very opposite. Head full of rich, maroon hair, thin as a pole, gorgeous looking thing. Eating a Caesar salad it looks like.
The woman is drinking a glass of red wine, and the man is just having water.

I meditate and cast Super Sexify on my target, and turn him into a sexy man! ... I guess some things can't be helped, even with magic.
I check my pockets for anything I could use as a weapon.

Trap:
You rummage through your pockets. When your hands come out, they reveal fourteen monopoly dollars, a stick of chewing gum, a piece of string, and lint. But wait! Didn't you have a gun holster? You check that, but alas, it's empty. I guess this is supposed to be one of those "off the radar" jobs.

I check my watch for the time.

Your watch shows that it's 10:34.

I examine the string to see if I could strangle someone with it. Preferably inconspiciously, like by running my finger over it to see whether it's actually strong, or would break easily.

Trap:
The string is thin, but strong. About three feet, plenty of length if you wanted to go fishing with it. Well, of course, if you were fishing in a really small pond.

I put my inventory back in my pockets, then look at my target again to see what he's doing.
... In a very nonchalant way, of course. Eye the room a little, eye him a little, eye the room again. Don't want him noticin', o' course. That'd just be bad business. Everyone knows eye-contact in a restaurant means you either want to challenge their authority or get a quick shag, and I ain't looking for the latter.

The man wipes off his mouth with a napkin and excuses himself. He stands up and starts walking towards the hallway.

Stand up and casually walk towards the hallway. Nonchalantly, of course.
Man, I feel too nonchalant. It'll become suspicious. I stop walking nonchalantly halfway and start doing little dance-like steps for the rest of the way.
