Kimi has two appearances; whichever one he goes by depends on whether he is on the job or whether he is simply travelling around off duty. The two will be described as his normal and hitman appearance respectively. Here are images for those who don’t quite get the full picture from the appearances (get the pun? xD)
Normal
Hitman
Personality:
[OOC: I liked my layout more than yours. So sue me.]
The statement of lawful evil as Kimi’s alignment is probably the most accurate term for his personality, the result of having his general way of being slowly manipulated and corrupted through a long service to the Lord of the Underworld. However, what mentality existed before isn’t much different from what makes up the general character of Kimi now. The only difference now is that what darkness in his heart that existed before has been dramatically increased to the point whereby Kimi may eventually be considered as being pure evil.
Sadistic and rather sarcastic would be the best way to sum up his general attitude, someone who possesses a rather dry sense of humour that surprises most people considering the amount of time that Kimi spends with no real company aside from the souls of the dead. Despite the lack of real conversation and socialisation with humans, Kimi is a rather talkative person, and does occasionally talk to himself as he debates matters in his mind, a substitute that he has created to replace the absence of company. Surprisingly, despite the sense of negativity that most evil beings emit, there is an optimistic presence about Kimi, who always manages to see the positive side of situations. Having said that, when one is blessed with the Devil’s gift of immortality, things can’t really depress you that much.
But, truth be told, as positive as Kimi may be about being somewhat immortal, it has come at a price. He is the hitman for the Devil and exists only to serve him for the remainder of his existence. His own personal morals and beliefs are set aside, inferior to the commands that are issued to him from his boss, the only authority in his life. Whatever he is commanded to do, he does without question or complaint, no matter what he may be asked to do. Through hundreds of missions, a desensitised state has been developed in Kimi’s mind, whereby killing doesn’t bother him in the slightest. Despite this almost samurai state whereby he completely obeys the rules set to him by authority, he places one restriction which was agreed to by the Devil himself; he does not kill children.
Whilst being evil, Kimi is not incapable of compassion and can develop strong bonds of friendship with certain people. Immediately accepting those who share his respect for the Devil, as well as those deemed worthy of the Devil’s respect, Kimi will aid them should he see fit to do so or if asked to, or merely converse with them. Any insult placed upon him towards his boss will be responded to in a violent manner, by which Kimi will take huge offence to the comments.
What must be considered is that Kimi will create numerous false fronts above the surface which he uses to disguise who he really is towards those who he doesn’t wish to know his true identity.

History
Kimi Räikkönen was born the sole child into a family suffering greatly from poverty in the medieval period of the 1200s. Whilst the monarchy of the country they lived in held strong in their promises to try and provide the citizens with what they needed to survive, there was still a minority that were unable to receive the benefits that were shared out across the rest of the kingdom. His family fell into the bottom percentile when it came to the quality of living for the time, whereby his parents were both forced to have full-time jobs in order to make a living to just scrape by. In the meantime, Kimi’s upbringing would be left to his grandmother who would care for the youngster throughout the day when his parents slaved to earn money on the farms. Life wasn’t particularly good for Kimi when he was growing up.
Typically, a story like this would soon turn to a more optimistic side, whereby fortune suddenly strikes the family and they begin to move up in the world and gain a better quality of life. Alas, quite the opposite for Kimi. The plague was quickly sweeping the country, wiping out thousands as it slaughtered unsuspecting civilians in its path. Such a poorly kept village like Kimi’s stood no chance whatsoever against it, receiving the full-force of the disease as it hit almost everybody in the village. Very few survived, which included Kimi. His family were unable to survive the wrath of the plague, making the 4 year old an orphan. Going for four whole days living off of what unaffected food he was fortunate enough to find, he escaped starvation narrowly, before royal knights arrived at the village to check the effects of what everyone now knew as the ‘Black Death’. Kimi was fortunate enough to be spotted by one of the knights and taken away with them back to a nearby town for medical inspection.
Despite the poor quality of medicine that existed in the medieval period, doctors were safely able to decide that Kimi had no signs of the disease whatsoever, surprised at how fortunate he was to avoid it altogether. He would live with other orphans who had been retrieved from villages, placed into an orphanage run by volunteers who would care for them everyday and provide them with an education. Whilst Kimi had suffered the great misfortune of losing his family, fate had been kind enough to grant him a chance at an improved life with things he hadn’t had before, including the chance to go somewhere in life.
By the age of about 9, Kimi had turned into a hardened young boy, a character he chose to front in attempt to hide his constant depression for the loss of his family and the fact that he would for the rest of his life be forced to acknowledge those more fortunate than himself. The act did him no favours as he was constantly reprimanded for his actions of bullying other children who dared to argue with him, standing out in the orphanage as one of the top dogs. However, he was benefiting from an education that he was quite keen on accepting, becoming just as learned as he was physically tough. Even though it appeared that he suited more the role of a common thug, the volunteers at the orphanage were aware that Kimi did possess the potential to become quite a respectable gentleman.
At the age of 12, Kimi would leave the orphanage to go out into the world and try to make his way up the ladder in terms of his way of life. He would find a job as a worker up at the nearby castle, which was the headquarters of the local military. There, Kimi would work as a handyman of sorts, using his knowledge of technology to help improve the castle as well as help with the planning of future extensions to the castle along the lines of being an architect. Earning a decent amount of money to live by, he would take up housing at the castle, residing within the quarters of where fellow workers did. A start in life for the teenager, who was looking to use this as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.
However, when he reached the age of 16, Kimi had hardly progressed at all. He was still considered no more than a mere repairman for the castle, someone who was really no more equal to a stable-boy in the eyes of the knights who were based there. Aware that there was little in the way of future for him at the castle if he wanted to progress, Kimi decided that it was time that he would move on elsewhere to try and make a living. There were bigger towns nearby that offered a whole range of opportunity for a young man, which the teenager had been aware of for sometime. Completing his agreed contract with the castle at the age of 17, he would move onwards to the bigger towns, in hope of finding a life there.
Nothing would come to him immediately, but his persistence paid off eventually when he landed the job of working at a nearby bank as a small time accountant, or rather an assistant. It promised a good wage, which was all that Kimi was interested in at the time, something to live off of. Of course, there was also the fact that there was a good future in accountancy. Within a matter of months, Kimi would become a respectable citizen of the community, known by those in the surrounding area and often sought out for financial advice. Finally, he had found something he was capable at and would supply him with more benefits in the future.
But, Kimi wasn’t satisfied. There was something missing in his life, which bothered him over the next couple of years and finally hit him when he turned 21. Whilst he had a good life with a decent amount of money to give him an adequate quality of life, it was impossible for him to ignore the fact that he was still suffering from something he had done for years; loneliness. He had never gotten over the loss of his family at such a young age, and had effectively grown up alone throughout his entire life as a result. Since then, he had no real family, not really counting the orphans at the orphanage as a family. In short, there was still a large hole in his life which had never been filled.
It couldn’t be replaced, the feeling of being loved by a family and nurtured. Because of this, there was a darker side within Kimi, a twisted opposite that lurked within his heart that encouraged him to get up to no good. It was this darker side within that would lead his life to spiral back downwards again.
Within a couple of years, Kimi would lose his job due to a sudden lack of care for employment, deciding that he could no longer be bothered with working for a living. In his eyes, he didn’t owe it to the world to provide a service for it. For taking away his family; the world owed him big time. Therefore, his new occupation would be a petty criminal, a thief of sorts who looked to get back at the world and seek justice for what had happened in his life. For a while, no-one suspected that it was him who was constantly stealing from people’s houses, until soon he was caught red-handed and punished heavily for it.
Thrown into jail for it for what would be an incredibly long amount of time, Kimi would accept that he has screwed up his life. Every night he would plead for a second chance, all cries ignored by the officers at the jail who would simply shut the door on him to drown out the sound of his voice. Deep in sorrow, Kimi would turn to something in complete desperation to escape the confines of his cell and go back to the good life. In a blind act of sheer madness, Kimi turned to the one person who was quite happily to help anyone… at a price. He sold his soul to the Devil to be successful again, to escape jail and be recognised once more.
Naturally, the Devil accepted.
The Lord of Hell would twist reality to suit Kimi, creating a story that would allow Kimi to get back into the good life. It would be revealed that Kimi was framed for the theft, in fact present at the scene to try and capture someone truly guilty, who the Devil merely framed himself. The excuse for Kimi’s absence from work would be explained as taking time out to investigate into thefts leading him to identifying the in-fact innocent accused. Taking up his job back at the accountants, Kimi would continue through life along the straight and narrow until his job gave him great fortune and he had succeeded in becoming a glorious person.
It was the day after Kimi received news that he had achieved such fortune that he died, a young man aged 25.
You see, the Devil has quite a twisted sense of humour. It was stated in the contract that Kimi had sold his soul in order to go back into life and become successful once again. As far as his Lordship was concerned, he had fulfilled his part of the contract by allowing Kimi to achieve the success of great wealth. Now that Kimi was successful, he had completed his part of the deal. That meant that his soul was now under the ownership of the Dark Lord himself, to do whatever he wanted with it. Kimi’s body would be found dead, murdered in his office.
Kimi’s soul would enter the Underworld and confront the Devil himself upon demand, upon which the Devil would greet him with a giant smile upon his face. Once again, he had cheated another person out of their soul without technically cheating them. He had simply followed the contract by what was written there. Kimi would have to face up to the mistake for the remainder of his service under the Devil, until he was content that Kimi had done enough for him. But of course, the Devil would never be content. As far as he was concerned, he had someone to slave away under his order for eternity.
The soul of the Devil’s new slave would become the new ferryman, someone who would be responsible for bringing new souls across the river that flowed between the entrance to the Underworld and the entrance to Hell itself. Whenever a person died and was sent to Hell, they would be shipped across by whoever was the ferryman. The Devil would dismiss the previous ferryman and appoint him to another task. This job would be punishment for Kimi, a reminder at how foolish it was to give away something as precious as a soul for a shortcut out of a situation which one had placed oneself in through stupidity. It was Kimi’s punishment for trying to take a shortcut out from a rightfully issued punishment for thievery. The Devil has his own personal morals and beliefs.
For centuries to pass, Kimi would be forced to face the souls of those who had wronged in life, taking them across the waters to Hell constantly, on a job that offered no pause whatsoever. People were constantly dying, so there was no rest. Kimi’s identity gradually faded, until he was nothing more than a mere spirit who was shrouded in darkness by a cloak that concealed his true appearance, the reflection of his soul from the wrong-doing in his life. Whilst his actions were minor, cheating was something that the Devil didn’t take pity on, despite doing it so much himself. Kimi’s heart would become concealed in darkness as a result, until he was no more than what he was; someone on a boat.
After a few centuries, the Devil began to notice that something had changed about Kimi. He had seemed to grow to accept his being, becoming more sociable and optimistic about his job and actually conversing with those he shipped across. Whilst his humour was sadistic, very sarcastic and dry with his words as he showed his humour at those who would join the minions of Hell, there was something likeable about this new state. The fact that Kimi had achieved acceptance pleased the Devil, who would keep a closer eye on him. Kimi would continue ferrying, giving cruel words to those who he took across the river, mocking their misfortune. He’d forgotten his own past completely; it’d faded from his memory through the tedious and repetitive tasks that had caused his memories to fade completely. All he was now was a ferryman.
As was expected for somebody who was as evil as he was, the Devil had his share of enemies, including those who had managed to somehow escape from his clutches in the Underworld and flee back to the world above. Whilst it wasn’t out of his capabilities to deal with the problem himself, the Devil was a very busy man. Therefore, he had certain people who dealt with the problems for him, hitmen so to speak. However, the more recent ones had been defeated, their powers apparently not strong enough to deal with the stronger of escaped souls. It came to his attention that they had managed to find a method of taking their anger on being held captive in hell out on mortals. Whilst the Devil was one for suffering, he found it incredibly insulting that he wasn’t in control of the people doing so. Therefore, he needed someone to bring them back, a new hitman.
He turned to Kimi, deciding that his change in character was quite refreshing. Perhaps the sudden optimistic side of Kimi could be put to good use. Summoning him and informing him of what he had planned for him, he would place the task of being a hitman as a secondary job for Kimi, allowing him to freely roam the worlds in his spare time as long as he kept up the bargain of being a hitman. Naturally, Kimi accepted. Whilst the Devil could have quite happily restricted Kimi and not allowed him to travel around the worlds, he felt that there would be some benefit from it. After all, it would be useful to have someone on the surface constantly keeping track on what was happening.
Giving Kimi some of his own powers in order to act as a hitman, scaled down proportions of his own capabilities. That way, Kimi would be able to do the job effectively and efficiently. He would provide Kimi with contracts on a frequent basis, informing him of those who had escaped and under what conditions they were to be tracked down upon. Kimi would become the Devil’s personal assassin, now known to the rest of the Underworld as ‘Reaper’. On the surface, Kimi managed to develop a persona to keep his true identity concealed from those who he didn’t wish to share it with. Granted the use of vessels by the Devil himself, Kimi became able to interact properly with those around him and continue life using the very appearance he left it with.
Through some coincidence, Kimi’s contracts saw him travel through the inter-dimensional barriers to new universes which he was granted access to by some of the more powerful contacts of the Devil, who had links with certain people there. Kimi would arrive at the universe of Kingdom Hearts chasing a contract in order to send him back to his home-world’s Underworld. Fairly soon, Kimi would begin to spend more time in the universe as he received the information that souls were somehow managing to find their way into the KH universe to attack the mortals there under the impression that they wouldn’t be tracked down. They were very mistaken.
For now, the Devil’s personal hitman roams the worlds around Kingdom Hearts, seeking out those who have escaped from Hell as well as going about establishing a life for himself back on the surface. Still considered the ferryman for the Underworld, his job is to now ferry the souls he captures himself back across the river. Whoever the Devil points his dark finger at is Kimi’s next target.

The two will be described as his normal and hitman appearance respectively. Here are images for those who don’t quite get the full picture from the appearances (get the pun? xD)
Normal
Hitman
Physical Features:
The normal appearance shown by Kimi when he is using what is effectively a container when he’s out in the world is not that different from the average person, the exact same body that he used when he was alive. Standing at 6’3” tall, he holds a fairly average build that doesn’t exactly make him stand out. When he was alive, he never spent much time honing his body by working out, simply getting along with his life. His Caucasian complexion is almost stereotypical, pale to look at as a result from spending a large majority of time below the surface, one of the only things that changed when he went below the surface. His skin is almost shiny; simply a feature that developed from an aura below the surface, causing his skin to almost glow when light is shone upon it. Aside from the hair on his head, he doesn’t possess any more bodily hair whatsoever.
His hitman appearance however is completely different. Underneath the large cloak that he wears when he’s on the job, a more frightening and grotesque appearance is revealed. The body itself is 6’9” tall, with a build underneath the cloak that makes him seem absolutely huge. In truth, it’s extremely rare that anybody ever sees the underneath as it’s extraordinarily difficult to remove the cloak from his person. On the off-chance that it does happen however, anyone in the vicinity will witness what’s effectively a giant skeleton, complete with bloodied flesh hanging from various bones, including the ribcage. With no skin covering any part of his body completely, it’s certainly a sickening sight. However, the bones aren’t the marvellous white colour that’s typically associated with a skeleton. Instead, they’re rather greyed.
Facial Features:
What does stand out the most about Kimi when he’s in his normal appearance is his face. He appears quite Asian in that fashion; his skin pale as his complexion and everything almost perfect in the way that his face is shaped and such. He looks incredibly young, supported by the lack of age about his eyes which show no signs of stress or trouble with the mysterious light-blue colour that seems almost entrancing. Every single part of his body is sleek in design, certainly enhanced if only slightly from the appearance he held when he was human. The only distinguishable feature is probably the sole ear-ring on his right ear. His hair as shown in the picture is loose and messy, rather long in length. Not quite black, instead a dark shade of brown, each individual strand seems to have a different colour about it that creates a remarkable spectrum. Indeed, this appearance gives off a gentler aura than that of his alternate.
Speaking of which, there’s very little to say about the hitman appearance. Underneath the hood and in the darkness created within, all that anyone can see primarily is the two cold eyes staring outwards with a sinister glare, bright yellow in colour that’s enough to intimidate anybody. However, when the hood is removed, the incredible thick skull of the skeleton provides more reason to be fearful. No skin is present on any part of the bone, so it’s simply one large skeletal feature that graces the eyes of those who look upon it. The eyes fill in the absence of eyeballs, instead a glowing light that makes up for the loss of such… luxuries that humans possess.
Clothing:
Neither appearance’s clothing is extravagant in any shape or form. In the case of Kimi’s normal appearance, he chooses to wear the basics of robes as his attire, bland to make sure that he doesn’t stand out unnecessarily. Simplicity is key, black robes that keep a tidy and presentable appearance, similar to those that shinigami are renowned for sporting. Baggy trousers beneath the main exterior robe and completed with a similarly fashioned top underneath, finalised with black plimsolls that suit any need for transport. A simple sash around his waist keeps everything together.
As for the hitman, the cloak is one of the two parts of attire that he chooses to wear. Hanging across his entire body, dragging behind him as he walks, this overly large ragged drape is as heavy as it appears, even if it doesn’t hinder its wearer in the slightest. It covers all of his limbs, tied around the waist with a piece of rope that doesn’t undo at all. The hood hangs over his head with some room inside of it, keeping everything inside shrouded in complete darkness, not highlighted by the glow from inside however. Underneath the cloak however is a pair of trousers made from the same material as the cloak, simply an additional piece of the costume.

Weapons:
Weapon Name: The Scythe
Weapon Description:
[OOC: I combined this with “Unique Notes”.]
The weapon that Kimi possesses that he uses primarily when he goes into ‘Reaper’ mode, although he does carry it on his person all of the time, merely using it as an ordinary non-magical piece of equipment until the time comes when he needs to do more with it. The long handle of the scythe is made from solid ebony, twisted and warped to a height of 7 feet long, whereby the blade then extends from the top. The length of the blade is a frightening 4 feet long, making for an incredibly heavy weapon that due to Kimi’s strength, makes it quite easy to carry around, simply carrying it like he would a staff. The only property that this weapon possesses is that it cannot be broken; every material about the weapon is tempered extraordinarily. Kimi makes sure that the blade is razor-sharp at all times, so that when combined with his terrifying strength, it makes an incredibly deadly weapon. Naturally, Kimi is extraordinarily gifted when it comes to wielding this weapon.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Necromancer Assets
Sub One: The Body of the Dead
An ability that can only be utilized when Kimi chooses to use the body of the ferryman to conduct a mission, a vessel that suits these gifts perfectly. Essentially, when in the form of the ferryman, Kimi possesses no working vital organs. The body does not need a working heart in order to function; therefore blood cannot be spilt from his body. He has no lungs to breathe; Kimi merely exists by defying every law of human biology. He is immune to such things as poison therefore, as there is no blood-flow to carry the chemicals.
However, that doesn’t mean that he’s that much more difficult to kill. Simple damage in wearing his body out is the most effective way to take care of him through methods such as blunt trauma or magic. As stated in the previous ability, wearing the body out through placing it under extreme stress will take care of him. In short, he’s simply immune to more extravagant methods of killing. Of course, he can still lose limbs and such should someone be able to provide a hard-enough strike to separate them from his body. Therefore, decapitation of the body is an option, whilst incredibly difficult, seeing as he can simply pop most of his limbs back into place.
Sub Two: The Touch of the Dead
An ability again utilized when Kimi chooses to use the body of the ferryman. This technique utilizes a special aura that is emitted from his body as he travels in this form. Plants wilt before him and trees will sometimes die to the point of weakening and falling around him in a disastrous fashion. Small animals will collapse in front of him should he wish them to (including low-level Heartless and other similar creatures who dare to approach him). Naturally, this aura has no effect on other characters, instead requiring an extra exertion in order to deal damage. From firing vine-like strands from inside his sleeves, Kimi can have them latch onto people and literally drain them of their life as they stand, wrapping around the victim’s body and attaching via sending spines and sharp thorns into their bodies to ensure that detaching them is difficult to say the least. Through prolonged subjection to this technique, an example being about half a minute or so (a couple of posts), a person can die from this technique.
Naturally, this technique can be avoided should you be able to block or evade the vines as they’re fired. They can be sliced through, although more will come when one is sliced. Think of it as a hydra-like attack.
Sub Three: The Wall of the Dead
Gruesome, yes. This technique is a defensive one of Kimi’s whereby he summons forth a gigantic wall before him, made completely of dead bodies, used to block an attack that may be sent towards him. This barrier will rise up from the ground in a surprisingly fast fashion, constructing itself in no time as it serves to protect the hitman from danger. He can of course make this as thick as he wishes it to be by varying the amount of people in the wall, which will take longer depending on the amount. Also, he can create this barrier in any shape or form that he wishes.

Beware citizens of Kingdom Hearts, for you could be next.
