"Well, that's icky," Axel noted with a feigned look of disgust before rolling his eyes. Another day back "alive", another order from ol' Org XIII. It was still the same..and probably would never change. It was just his luck that with his return came all the others, even her. Larxene. Peachy. After a moment he shrugged, complete with characteristic waving of arms before exiting the scene via the usual dark portal.
Find Roxas again, Axel.
Bring him back, Axel.
Destroy him otherwise, Axel.
You'd think after the last time, they'd send someone else to find the 'new old' Roxas. But then again, maybe that was why he was the one sent again, despite his betrayal. Actually, his two betrayals... What were these Nobodies thinking? He couldn't help but get the idea that they were just waiting for him to run out of usefulness before they destroyed him and his chance to become whole again.
Well, what mattered right now was this Roxas remembered him, and apparently everything else, unlike when he'd found him before in the computer generated Twilight Town.
"Blah, blah, blaaah...did I seriously come back for this?" the red-head mused, expression seeming both vaguely amused and hopeless as he reappeared in a different place, cloak fluttering. "Here I am, given a second, or third, chance but still making the same mistake. Haha. But...maybe this will work in my favor..Having my partner back isn't a bad idea.."
Perhaps this was all working according to his own plan, a plan that had been disrupted and all but left behind. Mysterious? Of course. He was good at playing double agent, but what if there was a third factor as well?
"Oh, Roxaaas...come to Axel!" he called for his partner, hands to his mouth before he dropped them and surveyed the surroundings with brilliant green eyes. Seriously, he just had to get the most troublesome best friend. Short tempered, too. He couldn't help wanting him around, just the same.
Even through his complaints, Axel still would rather be searching for Roxas than doing other Organization XIII stuff. Honestly, he felt like leaving the Organization sometimes, too. Yeah, he wanted to find his heart and become whole, but the Org just wasn't his style! He'd rather hang out with Roxas.
Who was he kidding? He'd be as loyal to the mission of all Nobodies becoming whole again as he could possibly get.
Coming to the edge of the cobblestone lane, The Flurry of Dancing Flames came to a stop and looked out over the town bathed in orange. It didn't seem Number XIII was anywhere to be found here.
What exactly was the Key of Destiny up to anyway?
