Alright, so thinking today I've come up with a titanium strength argument that can no longer be ignored.
Prices. Are. Too. High.
Yes, I said it. But I mean come on, look at the facts people.
Most people will never be able to buy 90% of the things in the shop because let's face it, they're so expensive that it would take an incredible amount of time to get them.
Oh, and betting, and quests and the like are quite slow in themselves you know, and the risk of death would prevent most from getting any high rewards from quests, while betting has just about died because no one wants to risk what munny they do have.
Continuing on, this incredible amount of time is based on people actually posting a lot every month, which, sadly, is not the case. People are busy with life and that has cut their posting activity drastically. As such, the time it would take to get anything triples, or even quadruples.
If you need a solid example. Note I said, example, because this is the most dynamic example to use, though there are countless examples to list.
A summon. 5000 Munny. Doesn't sound too bad at first right? Well I've done the math. One summon, if someone posted at a rate of 100 posts a month (Which I doubt anyone does at this point), would take 2.2 years to acquire.
Yes, I know, it's astounding. And look at this if you need any more proof. If the posting rate drops from that basically unattainable number to 50 (Which is still far more than most people post per month.), which is still unreasonable for most of us due to our lives, the summon would take 4.2 years to acquire instead.
And, moving even further, if it were reduced to 25 (Which is still quite high for some of us but still fart more reasonable than 50.) It would take 8.3 years to get a summon. Case in point.
And yes, I didn't include quests or betting, because quests take long enough as it is and wouldn't attribute much to it because no one is going to quest for anything that valuable on pain of death or sheer time required to complete it, and as for betting...with munny being so hard to get and valuable already, who's about to risk getting set back to a lower number, or even zero, and making it take ten times as long as it would be anyway?
Of course, summons are hardly the only things with outrageous prices. There are countless items, spells, and other things with such price tags attached to them that should also be addressed, though I'm sure you can find them just by looking.
These terribly high prices both prevent anyone from getting them without ages of posting and saving, and make them want to simply buy abilities, and now, upgrades, because they're basically the only things (With a few exceptions yes, but few exceptions.), that they can afford that wouldn't take forever to acquire and would still be majorly useful (Because let's face it, some of these overpriced things aren't even worth the money.), or would still be useful for the time and munny required to get them.
My point is simple, prices need MAJOR, reductions. This is really not a suggestion, it's a fact which needs to be addressed, and soon. I will now leave the floor open to you, for any arguments, or supportive statements, though based on my research, there is no argument with any factual basis that can be made to counter this. It is a rock solid argument. But the floor is open to you if you'd like to make one, or simply support the idea. And of course, I'd like to hear from miss Iris about this, because in the end it is her decision, and her decision alone.
Thank you for your time friends~
