Physical appearance:
Slightly taller than her brother Kassom, Iris may seem like a slight and unattractive wraith of a girl with barely any meat on her bones worth speaking of, but looks can be very deceiving. Hidden underneath her blacksmith's apron and locked away in her usually stoic gaze is a fire that can shock and stun those who aren't familiar with her. When she rolls up her baggy sleeves the muscles forged by her trade as a metallurgist become apparent, and when her temper reaches the boiling point or someone places her friends in danger her gaze transforms from calm and accepting to raw unbridled fury.
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 142 lbs
Hair: Dusty black
Eyes: Amber
Clothing/Accessories:
[Fireblast Armor]
A custom forge of Iris', this flexible metal plate armor is worn underneath her usual clothes and is impervious to all but the most superheated infernos. It covers her chest, back, groin, legs, and feet, leaving her arms free to use their full range of motion. This armor is particularly important for when she uses her pyrokinesis to its fullest extent. What makes this armor so resilient to flame is that, just like her hammer, its metal is imbued with her own pyrokinetic energies.
[Metallurgical Equipment]
Iris totes around a large camping-style backpack full of scaled-down tools of her trade. Casting moulds, various heat-proofed pots and vats, a hand-held accordion bellows, and innumerable other crafting devices supplemented by a handful of books make it possible for Iris to set up a temporary workspace for herself almost anywhere. Even so, she'll be the first one to admit that she could do far better if she had her own workshop somewhere with all the proper tools.

~Personality~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alignment: Neutral Good
Behavior:
Like the fire she wields as a metallurgist she can be very contained and focused, her mind nearly drowning out the world when she's working on something, but when her iron-clad calm is shattered she erupts like a wildfire and can barely restrain herself. She cares for her twin brother Kassom, and even though she knows that someday Ilaelis will have no more use for him she has come to accept her brother's "possessor" because of her devotion to Kassom. She perceives herself as a skilled amateur in the work of purifying and fortifying metals and is ever curious to learn how to improve herself. Unlike her brother who acts reckless and outgoing, Iris is very private, slow to warm up to people, and prefers solitude over social situations. She is a diligent worker, and when given a task she will not relent until it is either accomplished or proven completely impossible for her.
Hammer:
For breaking up ore feed, forging billets, or shaping a finished product, arguably the most personal tool of any metallurgist is the hammer. Iris' hammer is a tool she forged herself, patterned after a design that her father intended to make but didn't live long enough to complete. At first glance it looks more like a warhammer or gargantuan sledgehammer than the precision tool of a metalworker, but Iris wields the immense hammer as though it were only half its size and weight. The secret is that this hammer is imbued with her own pyrokinetic energies, making it almost as much a part of her as the metal owned by a Kinzoku. Forged from pure steel and tempered with an expert hand, Iris' hammer is her constant companion no matter where she goes.
~Abilities~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uncanny Metallurgy:
Iris has a natural talent for working with raw ore and metal of all kinds, able to quickly and easily filter out impurities and imbue strength into the materials she makes. This is largely due to her power over fire.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Strictly a non-combat ability.
Pyrokinesis:
When she was a very small child Iris stumbled across a ruined shrine in the wastes at the edge of the Desert of Flames and chanced across a strange broken gemstone there. When she touched it fire erupted around her hand and consumed her body, burning away her clothes but not searing a single hair or inch of her skin. Since that day Iris has developed greater and greater control over her ability to manifest and control fire, making greatest use of it in her skill as a metallurgist. Her power allows her to generate flames of varying intensity with little more than a thought or, inversely, extinguish any natural flame within ten feet of her.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Six times per battle.
Duration: Two turns.
Range: Within ten feet of her.
Firewall:
Employing her Pyrokinesis defensively, Iris generates a barrier of hovering flames around one person that can weaken the impact from most kinds of magic or energy attacks, albeit only slightly. Firewall doesn't actually stop anything, it merely softens the blow. Against ice or water magic the barrier collapses completely and has no effect; it also does not effect solid objects, like swords or bullets, whatsoever. The barrier is a ring roughly three feet wide that follows the designated person's every move until it ends, and enemies who make physical contact with the Firewall are subject to Weak fire damage.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Three times per battle.
Duration: Three turns.

History:
After Kassom departed on his reckless quest to stop the Heartless invading Kurai, Iris and her enigmatic uncle went after him straight away. Unfortunately, tracking someone like Kassom is easier said than done, so it wasn't until weeks later that the two found their way to the dark portal which had been the Heartless' entrance - and Kassom's exit - to the world. Fortunately for them, whatever had happened there had left the portal unstable and made it so fewer Heartless were coming through... nonetheless, it took several of Vates' wonky inventions and a few strokes of luck to make it past the dozens of Heartless guarding the rift. Of course, once they arrived there was only one real option available to them: enter the portal themselves, and search wherever they went for the headstrong, impetuous rogue that Iris Sercha called brother.
It would prove to be the start of quite an adventure...

The shield is chosen.
NOTE: Iris is not really meant to be used in combat, thus her listed abilities and equipment are rather more tuned towards story uses than going toe-to-toe with Heartless or other players. Just thought I'd throw that out there so people understand my intentions. Thanks.
