In the beginning, there was the Stone...
The Stone sat amongst the nothingness, and thought it wrong. And so the Stone created the gods.
Gods of many different types first created Utaia, the realm of the gods. From here they shaped the world, peopling it with many plants and animals. For the most part, the world was peaceful, until the gods began to eye each other and covet powers and titles beyond that which they had.
This, then, was the beginning of the War of the Gods.
Contained within the god realm, the gods fought each other. As each god died, their race slowly died out. Other than this, there was no effect upon the mortal realm.
When the war was over, four gods and four races were left alive.
The God of Chaos. The God of Creativity. The God of Crystal. The God of Dreams.
The races lived with each other, orderly, peaceful, and good.
The Salliances, race of the God of Chaos, didn't like this. True to their nature, they stirred up chaos, beginning a war with the only race that would fight back: the humans. However, this didn't follow the ordinary, formal rules of war. The Salliances were unpredictable and random, choosing targets seemingly at whim and sometimes not fighting at all. The peaceful Enitia and intellectual Crystallimuth remain neutral to both sides.
***********
This 'war' continues, mostly being skirmishes. This is where you come in.
Which side will you be on? Will you be neutral, perhaps an Enitia using your elemental powers to create beauty? A Crystallimuth, studying ancient secrets and forgotten lore inside the Great Library? Or will you fight in the war, as the ever-changing Salliances or as one of many humans?
Will you become a plaything of the gods? Or will you rise up and become a god yourself, playing with mortals in turn?
Will you simply cast aside all other choices and trod your own path, free from the gods, the war, and make your own trail in the world?
These are the choices that face you in the land of Purisianta.
