Alignment ~ Good
Behavior ~
Sun has a bit of shyness about her, but she can be very friendly once she warms up to others. Sun can be very adventurous and curious, and has strayed from her tribe many times. She can at times be a bit of a trouble maker, or simply just run into trouble at the wrong time. Sun cares deeply for others, especially her animal kindred. She will not let anyone hurt her friends, which are mostly the animals. Sun is very quiet, simply because she cannot talk, or because she does not want to. Her family has never quiet figured out if she simply can not talk or that she chooses to be mute. Sun has a very warm and welcoming personality, much like the sun, though the sun is more fierce and fiery than Sun is. Sun has a bit of spunk, she never hesitates to do things, even if they are simply chores.
Sun likes things from the stars, to the smallest of creatures. She can watch any one single bug, or insect, even a reptile or snake go about its business. Her favorite animals are foxes, ladybugs, and finches. She seems to have a connection with the animals around her, and always seems to be intrigued to be around them. Most of her friends are animals, the other children in her tribe sometimes tease her, that is one of the way why she has grown so shy to others. She feels she can express herself, and just be herself around her animal friends. Like there’s a bond between them that she was born a human instead of an animal.
Though she is quiet and a bit shy, she can be a bit mischievous. She likes to play tricks and games with her older brothers. She usually just stays among her family and clothes friends, rarely straying to strangers or people she doesn’t know well. She will most likely hide behind her mother, timidly.
This is simply a brief description of what Suncatcher is about, there’s more bubble up inside of her…yet to come out.

Flute~
A Native American flute that Suncatcher carries around with her, it hangs at her side in a flute bag made from fringed deerskin. Sun can often be heard playing her flute, it has a bit of magic mixed into the sound, which people often think calls animals to her side.
Appearance
Bow ‘n Arrows~
Suncatcher can be seen carrying around make-shift toy bow and arrows, they are made out of wood like any kind of other bow and arrows but they are smaller. Childlike. The arrowheads are not sharp, instead they are dull and are not intended to be used to really harm anyone. She usually carries her bow strung across her shoulder with her five arrows in the small quiver slung across her shoulder as well.

[Sun’s Arrow]:
[Since Sun’s arrows are mostly harmless, she can harness the power from the sun, using its rays to power her arrows so that they can actually deal some damage. She can string an arrow on her bow and hold it awhile, for her to gather energy and then she shoots her arrow. It hurls towards her opponent, energy from the sun making her arrow sharper. More defined. An arrow that was once dull and would of just bounced off her opponent, can now harm them. Inflicting pain.]
Strength: Weak
Uses: [Since her quiver has only five arrows in it she can only use this ability every other arrow, so three arrows per thread. And her power is also limited when the sun is not out.]
[Flute’s Melody]:
[Suncatcher begins to play a song on her flute, emitting a high-pitched deafening noise that can send anyone into a frenzy. She can continue to play her flute, to stop her enemy deafening them for awhile, a few posts. The flute player, Sun, is immune to the noise so it doesn’t affect her.]
Strength: Weak
Uses: Can be played for two posts, and used after three turns. And sometimes doesn’t always work.

Suncatcher was born the day the sun shined so brightly that when she opened her little eyes she looked up at the sun. Her mother saw her daughter’s arm stretch out like she was going to catch the sun. Or give it a big hug. That was how her name was born. Suncatcher. The one who catches the sun, its light and its rays. And she has been true to her name ever since she was born and saw the sun on that fateful day.
The beginning of her life was full of brightness, filled with joy. Her mother was joyous to finally have a daughter after having so many, troublesome boys. Each day the sun reached out to greet its child, and so did Sun. Stretching out her arms, like she could reach the sun. Each night she seemed to count the stars until the sun would greet her again. Each sunrise, she was the first one to wake. To greet the sun.
Soon as she started to grow, the habit died down some, but she always still seemed to bask in the rays of the sunlight. Going about, happily. Numerous hours of the day she could be found basking in a field, underneath the sun. Her brilliant blue eyes closed. It looked as if she was sleeping. Her arms underneath her head. But once she heard her mother calling her name she jumped up to attend to other chores and duties her mother had set upon her.
One day, she decided to set away from the camp. To explore the lands outside. The forest. And all of its inhabitants. She took her flute and her bow n arrows with her, to keep her safe. Well, at least try to. Since her bow n arrows were merely a child’s toy. But, her naiveness told her that they could protect her. What she didn’t know was that she had some unknown power inside of her, lurking there. She went into the forest alone. She wandered deeper and deeper into it. Her parents had yet to realize that she was gone.
This is where her journey begins. Where it ends and then begins again. She crept deeper into the forest, being cautious to where she walked. Slightly scared but slightly excited as well. She saw a huge tree in a clearing, i-it seemed to glow. She rubbed her eyes and put her bow and an arrow she had pulled out onto her back. She crept closer and peeked her head around the trunk of the tree.
Everything seemed to glow. A-and what were those? Were those bugs that had some kind of dust floating off of them? She wanted to creep closer but stayed where she was, not want to frighten them. She stared at them awhile, but as they became clearer to her. As they floated in mid-air she realized they were small human beings. W-with insect wings~! She recalled stories from her mother along with other story tellers of the tribe. Fairies! She exclaimed to herself. She would have exclaimed it out loud but there were two reasons she didn’t. One, she didn’t want to frighten or scare them. Two, she was mute, or so everyone thought she was. The day she talked, would be a miracle.
She continued to watch them, and then one saw her. It stared at her, about to retreat but then came towards her. Buzzing around her. It squeaked and squawked at her. She didn’t know what it was saying. It buzzed around her, forcing her away from the tree. She stumbled backwards. Dropping her quiver of arrows. She hurriedly gathered them up. She looked again and the fairy was gone. She looked around her, to find the fairy sitting on a leaf. She got closer to it. It was a female, a girl. She had her hand propped on her hip. Hmph.
Sun peered at it with glittering blue eyes. She had never seen anything like it in her life. She continued to stare at it then heard her name along with Indian calls. The fairy hid behind the leaf and Sun stood up straight as her father came forward from behind some trees and bushes. He glared at her. Sun stood up straight. She had always been somewhat afraid of her father. He was so muscular. And taller than she. He pointed back the way he had come. Sun looked down and retreated. Her father followed her along with some other Indians who had spears.
She got a lecture when she got home, from her mother. Her father just stared angrily at her. She was lectured upon the dangers. The Pirates. That she could be captured at any moment by them. Blah, blah, blah. But that wouldn’t stop her. She went off on her own again, she thought she remembered the way back to where she had discovered the fairies. It seemed further than she had actually gone. She found herself near a shore, near some rocks. Where there was a pool of water. The water was a aqua green. She moved around the rocks, being careful to not fall in.
“Oooh~ What do we have here?” She heard a female voice, it sounded like liquid.
She looked towards it, but before she could react she was dragged into the water. She went with a splash into the water. Luckily she had taken her flute and bow and arrows off before she got too close to the water. She floated to the surface, but before she did she saw three fish girls. W-wait fish girls!? N-no…Mermaids. She had been told stories about them. That they were mean old devilish things that liked to play tricks on whoever got too close to their shore and rocks. She had fallen right into their midst’s.
They giggled and laughed, jumping up onto a rock and staring at Suncatcher as she floated in the water. Drenched. Soaking wet. She swam to the rocks and pulled herself up. How would she explain this one to her parents? If she could explain anyways. She never seemed to voice her opinion, simply because she did not have a voice.. Well what seemed to be she didn’t.
She wrenched out the water from her hair and her skirt. She looked over at the mermaids. One had green hair. Another had blue. Another purple. Their hair seemed to match their…uh, fins? She watched them, snickering away at her. At their mischief. She would teach them. She retreated to get her bow and arrows but when she returned they were gone. She was about to go look around for them when everything went black. A bag had been put over her head and she had been tied.
She winced as all of a sudden she could see the light again. She looked around, but couldn’t move. She was tied to a pole or something. She saw people, dressed in funny clothes. With hats. Not headdresses. P-pirates. She didn’t know how she would get out of this one… No, no. She didn’t.
She couldn’t just call for help either, she couldn’t voice her opinion. She saw her things sitting on the deck a few feet away. Far enough for her to not reach them. W-what had she gotten herself into? She should have obeyed her parents. But she had been curious. What else was out there.
“Ooh, what do we have here? Lil miss Indian?” One of the pirates said. He had a peg leg and what seemed to be an eye patch. She stared at him as he, ahem, hopped towards her. He brought his hand to her face, pressing her face upwards to look at her. She opened her mouth to bite at him. But missed by an inch or so.
“I like her spirit...” He laughed. “Untie her! But, tie her hands. Bring her to my cabin.” He said then walked off.
Another pirate with a red and white stripped shirt untied her from the pole and tied her hands in front of her. He practically had to drag her into the captain’s cabin. He sat her down in a chair in front of a desk and then his chair turned around. He stared at her. She was frightened…M-maybe she was after all.
Suddenly there was commotion from outside. The pirate, what seemed to be the captain, stood up and walked out of the cabin. Before he did though, he said. “Excuse me a moment.” Then disappeared out of the cabin. She was left there alone. She tried to struggle out of the rope she was tied in but they wouldn’t let lose. She looked around and saw a knife on his desk. She moved towards it but only tumbled to the ground, along with the chair. She had been tied to the chair. She tried to scoot on the floor boards beneath her but it didn’t work.
There were screams from outside. She tried even harder to get to the knife, to untie herself. Even more screams and what seemed to be metal clashing with metal. “W-what are these things!?” She heard someone shout. She continued to scoot across the floor, inching ever so closer to the desk. She continued to inch forward. Then she heard a voice in her ear. “Hold on, I’ll untie you..” She heard a sweet voice say. She stopped moving and within a few minutes, she was all untied.
She stood up straight and then something came into her view. A fairy. She smiled at her, happy to see her. The fairy moved to her ear and whispered again, “M-my names Evelina.” She said.
Sun was quiet. She couldn’t talk. She nodded and headed towards the door, the commotion had died down some from outside. She opened the door to find all the pirates bodies on the deck of the boat. She looked to the fairy in horror. Then she saw something. A huge dark creature with a sword. And beady yellow eyes. She backed away but then it got bigger and then picked her up. She squirmed. It was trying to crush her though…
Suddenly she felt herself fainting, but she was still conscious. The grip on her body loosened and she felt herself falling. She thought she would hit the deck of the ship but kept falling. Into darkness. Everything around her as well. Her weapons as well.
She then heard a voice in her head…This is your destiny….….Choose well my child.Be safe. Grip the power you have inside.
Use the power the sun has given you.
She fell into some soft grass, her bow and arrows falling besides her. She stood up and looked around. This was not the forest she had explored while on the island... W-where was she?...Deep Jungle…

This character required a lot of researching on Native Americans. I researched the clothes, and the weapons(which later I researched instruments because I don’t think she would carry around a weapon. Got the idea from the character Tiger Lily from Peter Pan. =)[/blockquote]
