Physical appearance ~ : "I'm about four and a half feet tall, quite short for my age. My body is also pretty thin and frail all around due to a lack of exercise and growth. I guess I've always thought of my own body as pretty useless. My round head is topped by a mop of chestnut brown hair that parts to either side of my face, but I still have a couple of annoying unworkable strands pointing up from the top of my skull. My eyes are a dark brown and my skin is quite pale from little exposure to sunlight. 'Pasty' would be quite a fitting word to describe my complexion. I have a pretty round nose too."
Clothing/Accessories ~ : "The only clothes to my name right now are some loose-fitting things I managed to pick up. My outer shirt is green and is tied at my waist by a thin, light-coloured rope. Its sleeves are wide and short but my white undershirt has longer ones that cover my arms. By dark brown pants almost down reach all the way to my ankles but I don't have any socks, just old worn brown shoes.
"Oh yeah... I also have a set of armour that stands seven feet high with a broad shoulder frame made entirely of pitch black material. I just have it brought along with me wherever I go. Its pretty scary-looking, I guess. The edges are sharp and the seams are tight. Dark-coloured chain-mail covers any place that the outer plates don't. The angular helmet's visor guard is always down. It has vertical strips in it to allow outward vision... but the thing is seven feet tall. I can't exactly look out through them or even wear it at all. That's pretty obvious, right?
"Right?"

Alignment ~ : "I... try to be good."
Behavior ~ : "OK, so I guess I'll just have to say it. I'm a frail little wimp. Happy now? I'm not good at facing people directly, or speaking up... or comfortable in crowds... or... can I stop yet?
"Look, I may not be very assertive or social but at least I'm trying all right? I do want to be with people. I want to have a real friend. Maybe even a real family? I just need time to... adjust to this. I've been pretty alone in my own little world for most of my life and that's a hard habit to break.
"When I return to that little world though... it makes me feel safe. more confident. Maybe its all just an act, a fake personality, but it was an act that's been 'me' for most of my life. I needed it to get by as a kid and I guess I'm not old enough to completely let it go either.
"I may want to be myself, a real me, but if people need help... I'll take the courage to do it any way I can get it. Even if I have to rely on the darkness for strength of heart."

~Weapons~
Suddenly, a Heartless appears in front of you, brandishing its claws and threatening to attack. You reach for your weapon and equip it, ready to defend yourself.

"I can't handle any kind of weapon. I doubt this pathetic little body could even hold one properly. That suit of armour does have a pretty big axe as part of the set, though. Its got a four foot long handle and a single bladed side. That blade part curves out wider as it goes out from the part attached to the handle. The entire thing comes out a couple of feet so its pretty wide. Almost enough to shield the suit's entire upper torso. Its probably made of the same stuff as the armour too because its just as black and just as near-seamless to look at.
"What? A name? Who names their weapons?"

[Living Battery]:
"Very well. I'll tell you. I'll let you in on my secret. The Black Knight armour is a stiff, solid set of metal. It's no different from that forged from a blacksmith's fire, I would imagine. Except for maybe the exact materials, whatever they are. Still, when a heart exists within it the suit reacts to the darkness of the person within. Their heart's darkness becomes a power source for the Black Knight. It can 'live' and move according to the wearer's will. According to my will... Oh! You wan to know how I fit in there? It's sort of like a void once I'm inside. I just kind of... float in the middle. How do I see? Gee, I never really thought about it. I guess I just naturally 'feel' what the Black Knight would be seeing whenever I'm powering it. I must admit, using my own eyes to see has been pretty intense compared to what I'm used to.
"Right now my heart has become used to the Black Knight feeding off of it. In fact, its even become like a real battery, generating more darkness than it should and expelling it out into the world invisibly whenever I get too... ah... excited. Of course, the suit usually takes up all that power. With it the amrour becomes twice as strong as it would be if there was just a man of its size wearing it.
"When I'm not inside for the armour to feed, however, that's when something terrible happens. My darkness just fills the environment invisibly, saturating it. this doesn't have any real effect, though it does seem to draw a lot of those black things(NPC only). The real problem is that they... oh wait, they have a name. Heartless, right? Yeah, the Heartless absorb the darkness I let out and it makes them stronger. Any Player Characters, Summons, or Minions(And NPCs) that are Heartless experience a 50% boost to their power, speed and endurance if I use up a Living Battery charge outside of the Black Knight, though only during the round that i release it. They gobble the stuff up fast so it won't linger around for them to stay spiked on. The problem is I can't exactly control which of those... things... use it. All Heartless will get tougher, even if they're trying to kill me. Kind of makes it even more of a problem that I'm like catnip to the things."
Strength: "The darkness in my heart... has increased to a moderate degree."
Uses: "The residual darkness within any person's heart, besides that of a Princess of Heart of course, is enough to "power" the Black Knight armour. It can move and act as if alive, even though the one inside might not be large enough to fill its frame. For menial motions such as walking, gesturing or carrying things I can go on and on without any real limit. To power it for the levels of motion and ability needed for self-defence though, well, the wearer's darkness becomes more heavily drained and fatigued. I can currently sustain combat for twenty turns as I am now. I'm a bit scared... my heart seems to be getting darker without me realizing it. Anyway, after that much time the amrour can only be used for lesser movement again. I can push it through for combat in another turn if I must, but then I become incapable of making it move at all. It's just a statue with me inside at that point. Either way, I'd need a full night's sleep before I could get the Black Knight ready to fight again. My heart can't take the strain of any more darkness than that right now."~-|-~
[Enigmatic Shell]:
"My armour... darkness powers it, but darkness is not its nature. I really don't know where it came from. Some black magician's experiment? An evil fairy's curse? Either way, anyone who wears it as long as I have must allow the darkness in their heart to grow daily. When I walk in the open air the Heartless can sniff out my heart. They crave the darkness in it, though thankfully its not so great I can't ever leave my suit yet. When I am in my suit though... no Heartless will seek me out. Its armour plating protects not only my body, but my heart. Its wearer is but a shadow to both the darkness and to the light. No one can sense the darkness within it, for none of it escapes the Black Knight's thick skin. All of it goes to power the suit. Not even a drop of light goes outside the shell. As long as I'm inside this armour my heart is as hidden from the outer world as my body. This suit though, it works the other way as well. The Realm of Darkness can not touch me as the Black Knight. No matter how long or far I might wander the Corridors of Darkness, they can not corrupt my heart like this. They are my safe haven. The light is a different story though... its presence can penetrate the armour. When engulfed in light my heart falters to provide the suit the energy it needs to move.
"Hiding in the shadows... scared of the light. I guess this is how it is. And also how i have become. The Black knight isn't meant to be found. Any natural, supernatural or technological abilities used to scan, monitor or sense the Black Knight ruin its natural state of mystery, even if its insides will thankfully still remain a secret. I can't really tell myself so it useless when on my own, but if the suit detects that it is being watched I can feel that in the back of my neck. It doesn't matter if it by natural senses, supernatural ones or technology. I may not be able to do anything about it, but I always know when the Black Knight's hiding place is discovered."
Strength: "My moderate darkness has become a real problem, so the armour has to keep it both in and out completely or I'd be in trouble. It does it for light too I guess. My heart's always been just as isolated as I have."
Uses: "As long as I'm within the Black Knight armour, no means of detection can sniff out my heart within it, though detecting the suit itself is still possible. I'm exposed whenever I leave the suit as well, of course. I can be tracked or found by Heartless, Nobodies and other forces by my heart only then, but I can disappear from their radar entirely just as fast. Darkness also can't corrupt me while I'm inside the shell no matter how long I might be completely engulfed in it... though my own darkness grows steadily over the years just from always powering the armour anyway. I guess nothing really comes without a price. Light, on the other hand... light is a problem for me. If the suit is struck by a force of light at the same power level as this aspect of it or higher then its ability to feel when it is being sensed by others is disrupted for three turns. It will also keep being disrupted if more light comes, always three turns from the last."~-|-~
[Cleave]:
"Magical energy fills the weapon in the black armour's hand. A blue aura surrounds it. I don't know why I have this power now, but I do. With it nothing can resist the cut of my blade. Nothing without a magical protection of its own. Everything else I will cleave right through."
Strength: "My power is now moderate with this skill. I wonder how much more I could improve it?"
Uses: "I can manage it three times. No more... yet."~-|-~
[Separating Shell]:
"I found this out by accident, but it seems like the power of my Living Battery can reach the Black Knight's armour even if it is in pieces. If the helmet comes off or any parts like the gauntlet or arm are removed then I can send the darkness to them through the gaps they leave behind, connecting to them like intangible puppet strings. With that I can move them around in the air as I please, just the same as if they were still attached. They aren't too fast in sweeping motions, though. I could probably send one flying out straight by five meters in a little over one second. I think that's pretty neat, especially since it keeps those Heartless things from feeding on my power like they can when I'm not in the Black Knight. It's pretty scary to have holes that leave me exposed to the world, though. Enigmatic Shell won't hide my heart from detection while doing this."

"After being born to a family of knights in the royal court of King Hubert, you'd probably expect me to have a bright future in store. Train with determination, live with virtue, die with honour. Maybe it would have been nice, but I'll never know. When I was just an infant boy my father and much older half-brothers confronted an evil force that had been destroying small villages one by one: A knight wearing armour darker than the night. Their efforts were all in vain against its magical strength. It was as my father nearly breathed his last by a lakeside that a water spirit appeared and offered him the chance to claim victory. A magical spear appeared shining with white light. My father plunged it into the chest of the enemy and its brilliance engulfed the area. Once it was gone the amrour had collapsed in pieces and a weakened goblin-like monster was quivering as it tried to desperately crawl away. My brothers' swords ended its life.[/blockquote]
"Our family was bound for more glory, but we would not enjoy it for long. I would never know any of this ever transpired.
"The armour of the Black Knight was set on display in our home, a trophy of victory. My father wore it once, as if the suit called to him. He found it granted great power but the feeling scared him knowing how terrible the knight had once been, nearly invincible. He always remembered though, and that's how I ended up as I am now.
"Our world was engulfed in darkness, led by Maleficent and the Heartless as she sought ultimate power. As our world was enveloped my father placed me inside the black suit, not knowing the truth of what was happenign and just hoping to hide and protect me from attacking enemies or demons. He could not have known that his actions would cause my heart to be safeguarded against the all-consuming darkness when our world's heart was taken away. I don't know how old I was then... or even how long I simply floated inside my shell in the dark. Perhaps the suit responded to my will to find a world with people in it and that's how I ended up appearing where I did.
"I wish it could have chosen better. The world I arrived in was full of monsters, ghouls, ghosts, freaks and frights of all shapes and sizes. I was terrified. I simply hid in the armour like a statue, barely understanding it myself that I was 'controlling' it even then. It's fierce image fit right in amongst the world's environment but eventually some scary-looking... things... came to exmaine it for fun. The suit moved in reaction to my desire to get rid of them and I learned that I could move it like it were my own body. They screamed... and then laughed... and then walekd away. I was just another living armour to them: Fun, but ultimately nothing to make friends with or hang around much.
"And so I lived my days scared to death but putting all my faith in the barrier between myself and the world, acting like a natural inhabitant but never speaking as it would reveal my true identity. Eventually I was overwhelmed by a particular annual celebration of what they called "Halloween". It wasn't the first of these I'd seen while there, but it was by far the scariest. My desire to escape manifested as a portal created by the armour with my own heart's darkness. I was floating in darkness again, but it couldn't touch me any more than those on the world I'd left could. I had had enough of that frightening world but I had still learned to fear nothing as long as I was in my suit. I literally grew up within it, needing neither food nor water to sustain me. Now though, now I wanted more. Now I could understand that I could go places on my own and find people who were safe to be around. At least, in theory they could be.
"I haven't been traveling long. I haven't spent much time outside of my suit either, but when I entered worlds with people I recalled faint memories of my home. I remembered that I wanted to be with people but now I was completely afraid of everything outside my shell.
"Little by little I learned to 'live outside' for a bit at a time and try to meet people or do ordinary things, until something amazing happened. I found my home, completely restored. My family was there, even. It was a dream come true. Or at least it would have been. I did not remember them or the world completely. I did not recognize it for what it was or them for who they were. Little did I know that it was the fault of my armour that I depended on to protect me that would cause me to miss out on restoring my lost life. Because my heart was hidden away inside of its confines I was not whisked away back to my home world when the Enchanted Dominion's heart was returned to it. What should have been an amazing reunion turned into a sour scar on my heart.
"Approached by an old fortune teller in the woods while in my suit I received a grave warning: I was now the bearer of the enchanted Black Knight armour, but every shadow is cast by a matching source of light. Somewhere in that world, my home world, was an enemy that would seek to destroy me for what I wore. It would hunt me even if I left, because we were enemies simply by fate. I was even told that I would some day hunt it as well. Scared but unable to abandon my protective 'world' to escape this destiny because of my dependence on it I instead fled the world forever, hoping to never be found by this 'light'.
"So far I have been safe, but not every day is spent within my black guardian anymore. Some day perhaps the darkness growing in my heart will attract something more dangerous to me than Heartless.
"The blood of my knightly ancestors must still flow strongly in my veins though. I may flee what threatens me directly, but whenever others are in harms way I just want to protect them. To offer them the use of this armour as it has always shielded me, if only a little. So long I spent in fear. I don't want to have to watch others being afraid or threatened either. I've just had enough of it. I guess that's how new stories of a "Black Knight" have started to appear on some worlds.
"Stories that tell of a silent hero... and fail to mention a forgettable, quiet little boy that often comes around the same time."
