Welp, time to get this stinking board back on its feet ladies and gents!
I have an idea in mind, it's nothing revolutionary and nouveau [unfortunately your g-mod's brain is not quite capable of great ideas at the moment]. I was thinking of a Mercenary Guild. But think more of a clean-up crew...to put it bluntly. We do everything. EVERYTHING. Well, everything that involves blood, fighting, and good fun. Assassinate presidents, cause mass destruction, clean out heartless infestations, assist in massacres, save damsels in distress. Our main objective? Munny. Since there is an active munny system here, I can freely deal out munny upon completion of jobs. I’m also hoping to create something similar to the Bounty hunt for us, a monthly wanted list. Our Quest Master will gladly revive the Bounty Hunt to assist us further.
At the moment, I’m not envisioning anything big and wondrous for those who join, just something for you to do. I’ll also assist in personal plots and allow you to invade threads for the good fun of it. XD
This is actually a very vague idea at the moment. I’m unsure of whether it’ll work or not, but I’m perfectly willing to take any ideas and suggestions. Potential members/founders will be lavished with my good will and love. =D I'll take any race [I'm a bit iffy on Nobodies and Heartless, since we might encounter extermination jobs], any age, and any gender.
Also, I'll need a name better than 'The Mercenary Guild' ^^;; Suggestions anyone?
I also have a symbol in mind for us. But I'll have to see what kind of names we come up with in order to further develop it.
So....discuss!
Founders: Nascent - Kassom and Cordell Duck - Silas

Atra Rosa- latin for Black Rose. Probably not going to join, but I'll help ya think of names.

The name "Atra Rosa" would be a nice one, although it'd probably have to include some form of trading card; namely a black rose. Although, to be honest, I can't see a bunch of mercenaries who cover pretty much everything basing their name and reputation around being a "black rose".
[Cut-Scene]
And after the merciless killing of the Heartless infestation, the members of the "Black Rose" guild stood triumphantly, smiles etched across their faces at the sight of yet another victorious mission. Then, one member walked forward slowly, delicately drawing out a black rose and throwing it on the ground where the dead Heartless lay as a sign that should more ever come to the area... they should know who to expect to return to finish them off...
[/Cutscene]
Sounds pretty cool.
[Cutscene]
The hired mercenary rocked back and forth on his chair worryingly. The alcohol had hit him hard, a lot harder than he had originally anticipated. His opponent in this game of skill wasn't much better off, the effects of the copious amounts of drink were taking their toll and from the way his eyes appeared glazed and the fact that he was also rocking forward in his chair, it wouldn't be long before one of them would collapse.
One more shot from the table and the mercenary would waste no time in taking it, downing the shot to a thunderous applause from those around him before turning a weary eye towards the man sat on the other side of the table. The look of desperation was clear, the mercenary's opponent wasn't looking forward to following that up. With a shaky hand that could barely manage to grip the small glass between his fingers, he would lift it to his lips... only to see it slip between the tequila-soaked fingers and crash onto the table to be quickly followed by the head of the man as his body collapsed.
He'd been unable to keep up with the mighty alcohol-drinking abilities that the members possessed.
With that, the mercenary would thrust two hands onto the table to support his body weight as he stood. Blinking hard as he struggled to gain a clear sense of vision, disorientated and breathless, he reached into his pocket and drew out a single black rose before drunkenly hurling it onto the body of his fallen rival.
[/Cutscene]
Now, I made it sound pretty cool, but there is something a little out of place there. Hardened mercenaries participating a demanding drinking game... using a black rose as a trademark? Heh, possibly not.
My point is that picking a name is crucial, using something along the lines of a symbol, which a black rose certainly is, leads to the gang being associated by that symbol and therefore the name looks to be a status for the group.
Just my two cents. xD

I'm sorry, but what self-respecting team of mercenaries would name themselves something you'd expect to hear from a wrestling faction?
If a group stood before me and said "We are.... INEVITABLE DEMISE!!!", I'd find it hard not to collapse on the floor in a fit of hysterics.

Hehe, you guys crack me up. XD
I was thinking of something simple...Atra Rosa I will keep in mind.
I have a name in mind though.
The Edge.
I just thought it was rather symbolic of what the faction will be doing. Either pushing people off the edge, or pulling them from it. It can also stand for Weapon's Edge.
As for the symbol...
[cutscene]
The hired mercenary wobbled forward, his mind thick with liquor and the berating laughter of the tavern's patron. Reaching into his pocket, he fell forward, onto his victorious opponent, who had raised his hand in triumph despite his swimming vision. The Mercenary's opponent fell back, and the crowd laughed at the man's drunken stupor. The hired Mercenary slurred drunkenly and stumbled back towards the open door of the Tavern with an inaudible chuckle, defeated for now. No one noticed the short crimson arrow impaled in the victor's chest until it was too late...
[/cutscene]
Or we won't have any symbol. XD
Plus the name sounds ominous...to me at least. >.>
I'm assuming none of you who answered are interested though...*glares*

OOoh! Awesome! Count me in! ;D This kinda reminds me of another mercenary guild I was involved with starting up briefly on AnimeLeague. Perhaps we could borrow their name? It's very professional, dont'cha think? If memory serves, the motto roughly translates to "life is to share, but not to share all". If that's not what we're looking for, then might I suggest one of the following? - Angelus Errare (Latin for "lost angels")
- Res Nullius ("that which has no owner", descriptive of mercs who work strictly for money)
- Sub Rosa ("under the rose", which was a Roman way of saying something was top-secret)
... Yes, I collect Latin phrases. And let me know if you'd like that symbol made into guild badges. You can see a sample of my work [HERE]. This is gonna be fun! ;D

Ahh, Nascent, always pulling through for me. XD *hugs*
I rather not borrow other's names though. ^^;;
However, I do like Res Nullius. No masters. Me like. XD
Yes, and guild badges would look awesome. =O
I'm going to edit a list into my first post of those interested.

I can't join since I don't have a character, but... I can run Bounty Hunts and Quests that can hire members of the guild specifically. That's all I can do, but I will do that. XD

*hugs Northie* Glad to help!
Okay, just so I'm certain: the clan emblem is a red arrow, yes?
Oh, and do we sign up a specific character for the guild, or just sign ourselves up?

Well, the red arrow would depend on the name. :\
Yes, a character would do fine. =D The leader is in the process of making. XD

Sweet! Can I sign up both Kassom and Cordell? I figured they would be the two most fitting for the clan's MO.

I'll happily throw Silas into this. I'd vote for Res Nullius in a heartbeat, with Atra Rosa as a close second.
