Friendship? No. Love? No. Inner Beauty? Hell to the No. BOOKS! XD What books have YOU read lately? (I personally don't read. You'll never see me with book in hand. I devour. Un-read anything lying around just drives me crazy.) And what's been on my not-so-specific palette lately? - The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (by Junot Diaz)
- Out (A title obviously lost in translation, by Natsuo Kirino)
- Possible Side Effects (by Augesten Burroughs, the BestAuthorInTheUniverse)
- LoveLock (Orson Scott Card)
- Charity Girl (Wow, that was depressing)
- The Salmon of Doubt (by Douglas Adams)
- Gone with the Wind (for the umpteenth time)

Dean Koontz is probably one of the best horror/thriller authors around along with Stephen King, just thought I'd mention, Kat. I admire your choice. Aside from that, Patricia Cornwell's always a good bet for a decent thriller. Grisham's stuff isn't too bad either.
Alas, I don't read anywhere near as much as I used to. If I had nothing better to do when I was younger, it was typical for me to scour through the bookcase and pick out a book to read through. The only books I read at the moment are textbooks, lol.
Having said that, the last good books I did read were;
"Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz. "Predator" by Patricia Cornwell.
At the moment... I'm reading; "Game Programming", "Game Development, Art and Design", "3DS Max 2008" and "Programming in Visual C# 2005".
Lol, yeah... *Hangs head*

Is it weird that I've read all these books (besides the text-book-ones)? XD
I love Despereaux! And the Petit Prince (which is only good in French)! And Star-Girl was good, but I have to admit....the first three pages of "The Host" caused me to hemorrhage a little...."Predator" was...um....not as bad as "The Host"...XD
Any Scifi-Readers out there like Phillp K. Dick?
*shamelessly trying to keep the thread going* : D

Actually I have a number of books that I still need to read right now...
- The entire Demonata series (I've only gotten passed the first three books) by Darren Shan
- The Odd Thomas series (never did finish the third one for some reason) by Dean Koontz
- Brisinger (I've had this one since September, just haven't had the chnace to read it.) by what's-his-face.
- Obsidian Butterfly (nearly done with it though) by Laurell K. Hamilton
- Twilight (I'm re-reading it and almost done.) by Stephenie Meyers
As far as some of the books I am reading or have read in the passed that I enjoyed:
- Lovely Bones (had to read it for a class project, but I loved it.) by Alice Sebold
- All of the Twilight series (I loved them.) by Stephenie Meyers.
- A Child Called It (And the book after it.) by David...I forgot the last name. T.T
- The Anita Blake series (I've read the majority of them) by Laurell K. Hamilton
And so many other books that would take too long to list.

Look into the Bartimaeus Trilogy, all. Very impressive stuff. I don't reread often, but when I do it's usually one of those three.
The Young Wizard series is good too...

I still fail to see the appeal in Twilight...>.>
I'm currently reading Duma Key by Stephen King, who totally tore Stephenie Meyers apart. *locks self in a room and cackles*
I've never read anything by him due to my inability to stomach...horror. XD But this book caught my attention. Hopefully I won't be put off halfway through. It sure is long...
Oh dude, I just realized why Stargirl's such a familiar name. I think I read that book in middle school. =O I read a lot in middle school...I think I really liked Stargirl. If I can remember what it's about...>.>

You're also quite the Dan Brown fan, I see... seeing as the four books you've mentioned are all his, lol.
