Appearance:
Personality:
Public: It only takes a few words to sum up Jecht's public personality. Very loud and very obnoxious. This man is very confident he can do just about everything that is thrown at him even if its something completely ridiculous like drilling a hole to the other side of the earth. Nothing seems more valuable to him than beating people at their own game. He has no particular style in how he does this. Jecht, just wants to reign king, and what better way to do it than displaying his prowess in blitzball. He allows no one any chance to beat him at the game he created and perfected. There shouldn't be anyone who has such unimaginable talent as himself. This also compels him to talk down to any opponents or enemies he comes across during his numerous trials and travels.
Private: In this case there is a huge gap between Jecht's private and public personalities. This is mostly reserved for the rare heart-felt moments and his own personal reflections. In all honesty, he gets tired of dealing with all the rowdy villains that try to disturb the natural order and cause random chaos. He simply doesn't see the motivation behind it and what they would gain from it in the end. He then realizes his own actions and personality and what he can do to make his own life better and more...flavorful. To close it up, Jecht is a huge softie around women especially his wife. Simply being around her gives him a bright and hopeful outlook on life.

History: (As with everything else this is his made-up KH background and not the history as you might expect from FFX. I also make some very minor canon references. I hope it is nothing much to panic about.)
Jecht's origin is Destiny Islands where he was raised by a father and mother who each died during his early teens of an unknown cause. His harsh and thick-headed personality was formed around this exact event, but another negative factor was an added ego, which gave him a nasty inferiority complex. His personality, however, is not the real history.
It was around this time that he became incredibly bored with any sort of recreational activities. Living on Destiny Islands was easy and carefree, but life at his age seemed dull and uninteresting. With a near unlimited amount of free time, Jecht began to develop the basics for a game that would come to be known as blitzball. It took him two full years to develop the first prototype ball and create the basic rules of the game. Jecht was certainly creative, but worked slowly to make sure everything was executed perfectly. In time, as the game was played more and more, Blitzball became a sensational hit. It was Jecht alone that started the first team, tournament, and created the famous Jecht shot signature move used to dominate over other competing teams. His blitzball legacy made him into an idol and a superstar.
Eventually super-stardom itself lost Jecht's interest. After an additional two years of annihilating anyone who tried to beat him at his own game, Jecht finally started to take an interest toward a certain woman. At the time he was nineteen years old, and scarcely looked like the rugged, foul-mouth man of the present. There were no scars visible, or too much of a beard for that matter, and his hair barely reached his neck. Even without such lovely attractions and a chiseled chest he managed to attract one girl of his fancy. This particular woman had no interest in his fame and fortune, but only his seldom-seen, gentle persona.
She was a frail girl of eighteen named Len (I forget if his real wife's name was ever given in FFX). Always a kind and gentle soul, Len became Jecht's object of desire. Never did he want to let her from his sight. The feeling was entirely mutual. It was only a mere three months before they were engaged and married with a child on the way.
A full seven years pass before the eventual leave of The Blitz Master from Destiny Islands. Jecht, nearly resembles his own self in present-day time albeit the numerous scars, but even that would soon change. Over the years, Jecht became fascinated with the idea of "other worlds". In an otherwise insane wish, Len let her husband pursue this adventure. Using an abandoned ship specifically built for interstellar travel, Jecht realized his dreams.
His voyage on the rickety vessel would be long and without any predetermined destinations, or for that matter any specific place to go. After all, Jecht wasn't the slightest trained in gummi ship navigation. The additional threat of the growing Heartless scourge only made travel worse. That, still didn't stop him from crash-landing in Traverse Town.
By the time he crash-landed the town was only beginning to become a haven for people and creatures from a variety of worlds destroyed by the Heartless. The eerie clock-tower rung on, but without the disturbing haunt of a Heartless near its base. On a side note when Jecht crashed he received the first of many scars. To save an explanation further down the line, Jecht acquires these scars by comedic accidents alone and not by any actual beasties (thus far).
He spent quite awhile in Traverse Town to pay off the damages he caused when he crashed, and to buy a custom gummi ship of his own from a local mechanic. During his lengthy stay, there were a great influx of interstellar travelers from distant worlds that came in rapidly. This was largely due to the growing threat of Heartless that devoured each world one by one. In fact one of them looked like an excitable spiky-haired youth from the Islands, but then again that seemed to be how everyone in the universe looked these days.
So nothing really major other than the arduous hours of work to get a gummi ship. There was talk of a few fights and strange happenings in the third district, but this all seemed to calm down by the time he left. It was almost like the universe was back in order, even the refugees from other worlds were beginning to feel that effect. For the life of him, Jecht could not figure out why he felt that way. With a shrug and a wave, Jecht left the quaint little town in search of new adventure.
Not a month after he left did Jecht once more find trouble. This time it was in the form of strange little creatures called Nobodies. His first encounter with them was on a broken highway near an odd world of pirates. His skills as a gummi ship pilot by then were phenomenal so the numerous assailants weren't too much to deal with.
Nevertheless he did encounter a small problem after venturing into Twilight Town briefly. Two nobodies known as Berserker and three Dancers. Strange as it may sound, Jecht got rid of the big guys quite easily, but those Dancers beat the snot out of him. It was a stroke of luck and a few Blitzballs to the face until they stayed down for good.
After an additional year or two just beating down enemies, Jecht finally began his voyage back home to visit his family. His journey was over, or so it seemed. Fate had already decided another plan for, Jecht whether he liked it or not.
It was around this time, that the Cornerstone of Light became the Cornerstone of Dark, and a new breed of evil passed over the universe. During his long trip home, Jecht encountered something that even he couldn't begin to fathom. It was SIN itself. A mindless abomination whose purpose was to engorge himself with the energy from the various worlds it came across. The blitz-master feared the worst, worrying that his home-world may be in serious danger. By the time, Jecht reached Destiny Islands it was already too late. It had become the Volition Isles, a far cry from his bright and sunny tropical paradise. The warm sands had turned black, and everything in general appeared dead. Even people he knew were turned to stone except for his wife and child. They were nowhere to be found. Well his wife was smart so perhaps they got off the world in time. That was the best outcome he could hope for.
It was time to throw the gauntlet down, and begin a crusade through darkness all over again. If he could handle Heartless and Nobodies then the eminent threat of SIN, antibodies, and their master would be a walk in the park. Whether he lived or died didn't matter. All he cared about was restoring Destiny Islands to their former glory, and beating the tar out of anyone in his way.

(Following is information that will be implemented as I further the character creation)
Given the little information I have on Jecht I had to sort of create my own original character in some respects. His personality was given already, but some of the gaps, which I found such as in his battle personality were drawn from Auron's cold and analytical style. Of course I made an effort not to put too much emphasis on the analytical part. In actual battle strength and tactics, I was inspired by Wakka who was a pretty heavy hitter in FFX if you knew how to use him right. All in all, Auron and Wakka filled in any gaps quite nicely, but I did manage to sneak in a smidgen of Tidus so there might be a slight resemblance between father and son.

Name: Jecht
Alias: King of the Blitz
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Hero
Origin: Destiny Islands
-----------------------
.characteristic.depth.
-----------------------
Appearance:
Physical Features:
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 188
Body Type: Heavy
Jecht's body is very muscular from years of fighting. A heavy tan coats those battle-weary biceps along with a countless number of scars across his face and body. Name the world, and Jecht has acquired at least two scars there. Emblazoned on his chest is a large black tattoo that appears like a cross between a "T" and a "J". It is the one place where scars have not yet touched. Besides that there is a scarce amount of chest hair, which finishes up Jecht's signature body look.
Facial Features:
The face is not terribly different from the rest of Jecht's body. It has just as many, scars and a noticeably dark tan. Some of his features aren't in view normally. His ears are covered by a thick mass of stringy dark brown hair, which spikes up in a few places. Then Jecht's forehead is completely covered by a red bandanna, which is never seen removed from his person unless you somehow get a glimpse of him in the shower. The eyes are, as usual, the key feature here. They are a mix between orange and yellow, which almost seems to symbolize the setting sun. You'll feel a strong piercing gaze from these unique pair of eyes. To finish it up is a smirk, which he constantly wears unless he's in berserk mode.
Clothing:
Well to start there is no sign of a shirt on Jecht's body. He likes to show off his muscles and scars, which is why he did away with it. Gray suspenders hang down at his sides for no real reason other than perhaps decoration. Beneath that he wears dark blue shorts, which cover his legs until about halfway over the kneecap. An orange/yellowish cloth is secured along the waistline on Jecht's right side. It covers the entire leg down to the ankles. There is a design, that signifies black flames at the very edge near the bottom. The other point of interest on Jecht's person is an arm guard, which covers his entire left arm and shoulder area. A steel gauntlet protects his fist, while four interlocking plates of steel guard the forearm. Three heavier pieces of metal protect the shoulder area. Aside from that there is a simple red bandanna, which hangs down on the left side of his head. Then there is a bandage on his right wrist for no specific reason. As you might have guessed, Jecht doesn't wear any shoes.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles:
There is a thick leather scabbard for his sword, which hangs off his lower back. It is often completely hidden from view.
Personality:
Resolve: Jecht's main resolve is to restore Destiny Island to its former glory. To achieve that he must also beat down the new evil crawling its way across the universe. He has a personal goal of being the person to stop SIN in its tracks to make sure the Volition Isles are not damaged even further. In short, he wishes to save the universe like every other hero out there.
Fears: Jecht of course fears for the safety of his family, but realizes they're strong and independent enough to survive without him. Another fear, is his constant worry over the future. It nags at his mind constantly, that he may be fighting for the rest of his life, and never actually accomplish anything worthwhile since yet another force of peril always tries and to take hold of the universe. Jecht also feels being outdone is "uncool", but that's not exactly a real fear so much as concern.
Hopes: To bring balance to the universe, revive his homeworld, and to have a nice relaxing vacation afterward. It's the typical "savior of the world" crap that you constantly hear time and time again. Of course, Jecht carries on his hopes in his own personal style. No style.
Hobbies: Blitzball, abandoning his wife and child to embark on a fantastic voyage across the universe, saving the world one wrecked gummi ship at a time. Again there's also the common hero hobbies as one would expect.
Public Personality/Private Personality:
Public: It only takes a few words to sum up Jecht's public personality. Very loud and very obnoxious. This man is very confident he can do just about everything that is thrown at him even if its something completely ridiculous like drilling a hole to the other side of the earth. Nothing seems more valuable to him than beating people at their own game. He has no particular style in how he does this. Class: Warrior
Weapons:
Broad Sword + Spiked Blitzball
Weapon Name:
Ego(Blitzball)& Matchmaker
Weapon Description:
Ego- The regular blitzball appears as a swirling mix of blue and white, the former being the primary color of the two. Usually the sphere will have small bumps on the surface for maximum effect during actual blitzball games. In this case Jecht's blitzball has small spikes instead of bumps, and his name in Al Bhed is emblazoned across the surface. In most cases the Blitzball automatically returns back to his hands unless the opponent somehow catches it.
Matchmaker- A thick, steel, weapon, mostly used for bashing rather than actual cutting or stabbing. The front part of the sword resembles a small anchor with three notches or holes in the center of it. This is the one part that actually has a sharpened blade. The length of the true blade part is about 3' 5". Throughout the length a fire wispy fire emblem stands out on the front and back of Jecht's sword. The very beginning of the blade from the handle is widened to act as a guard. On one side of it a simple metal chain hangs down as pure decoration. To finish it off is a hard wooden t-shaped handle that miraculously supports the entire weight of the weapon. Throughout its use it has never cracked or splintered.
Unique Notes:
The blitzball as a weapon is usually summoned to his hand while the sword is always strapped to Jecht's back.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Berserk
Sub Abilities:
Berserker- The principle technique of the berserk ability. For three turns Jecht will become a mindless, savage assailant. This ability increases his strength three-fold, and he has a seemingly endless amount of endurance. He can only attack the nearest enemy and nothing else. Should all enemies be defeated he'll attack the nearest ally/civilian. When the three turns are up his stamina is almost at empty. It takes an additional three turns to regain the lost stamina.
Raging Blitz- A skill that can only be performed with a blitzball or at least a ball-shaped object. A red aura, which is akin to the berserker energy flows through the ball making its force and attack four times more powerful than normal. The actual attack is two maneuvers. One is where Jecht throws the ball in the air and uses both his wrists to slam the Blitzball toward an opponent(s). The next move is an immediate kick picking up from the initial attack. Both attacks are designed to take out large, heavy opponents, but can be used as splash damage attacks if necessary.
False Jecht Shot- This technique is an improvised version of Jecht's true Jecht Shot. In this move he uses both the sword and the blitzball in a devastating combination. First part of the ability is where Jecht kicks his blitzball into the air. He then jumps up and makes a complete 360 before sending the ball back in a downward strike. With his sword equipped on his back, Jecht enhances his power with berserker rage (this version lasts through the technique only with only a 25% decrease in stamina afterward), and unleashes a flurry of heavy attacks on his opponent.
Note: Jecht has the Jecht Shot available, but that is specifically for sport, and not yet designed for actual attack purposes. If anything it would do little to no damage to even a regular opponent.
