Physical appearance ~ : Iznan is not what one would typically expect from a native Pridelander. At home, as a spider, there is nothing seemingly to set him apart (other than being several feet longer than your average spider... and a few feet taller than your average spider... and having a humanoid torso). The real oddity begins as soon as he steps beyond the boundary of the Pridelands. I mean who would've guessed that a monster living in the jungle for his entire life would've liked The Who? Iznan's unnecessary struggle for individuality has led to such aesthetic improvements on his humanoid body as multi-colored hair and multiple piercings plus the odd tattoo here and there.
Tall, lean, and lanky, Iznan is an eyecatching figure to begin with. Add in the lipring, the corset piercings down his back, and the various hourglass tattoos that can be found around his body, and you've got quite the eccentric individual on your hands.
Clothing/Accessories ~ : Though in the Pridelands there is no need for clothing, Iznan has come to the conclusion that everywhere else is a different story. He has even come to somewhat enjoy fashion, though his sense may be a bit skewed. He wears clothing that he has made for himself, often consisting of liberal use of leather, denim, and plaid patterns. He wears a black leather jacket with multiple design "improvements" (a fur collar and some colorful circles sewn in. A white v-neck beneath, conceals his chest. Multiple belts lay across his waist, cinching a pair of blue jeans down. The jeans are tucked into a pair of calf-high black leather boots.
Other than that there are various accessories that can be found to adorn him. Jewelry of different sorts, eye make-up, and what have you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alignment ~ : Chaotic Neutral
Behavior ~ : Iznan is the epitome of self serving, thoughtless, inconsiderate jerks. He does as he likes without any regard for the well being of others. Laws do little to discourage him from a goal, and in most cases they do the opposite of their intended purpose. He enjoys getting what he wants, and will do just about anything so that the odds fall in his favor. He's selfish, conniving, greedy, hateful, and never satisfied. He's straightforward, insensitive, and impatient. He doesn't play well with others, he's moody, and he doesn't recognize any consequence to any action. He doesn't take responsibility for his shortcomings, and is willing to take stupid risks just to prove a point or relieve some boredom. He's lazy and lacks ambition, willing to trick someone into doing work just so long as he doesn't have to. He's belligerent and likes to fight.
But few recognize that there is a certain depth to him. Everything he does, he does for a reason. When motivated he will work far harder and far more effectively than any other. He judges his own efforts based on the best he's ever seen, and if he doesn't surpass that limit he has failed. He likes to stack the odds against himself for the challenge, just so he can use skill to maneuver the odds into his favor later. His high standards of himself are second only to his need for companionship, and yet he can never seem to establish a lasting friendship of any kind. He moves around a lot, he has strong beliefs and he fights for them, he as eccentric as it gets without being arrogant, and he doesn't think very highly of himself. He's artistic in thought and execution, and sees the world simply. He hates complaining, he's persevering, and his indomitable spirit can't be broken. He likes a joke, and likes watching clouds roll by.
This should not be confused with the oh-so-common "angsty-yet-deep" stereotype out there. He's not an asshole to keep people out. He's just an asshole.
Spiderbites: Eight knives. He uses an extremely small portion of his own magic to wield them as if they were tied to his fingers by strings. They can be thrown and then retrieved with the same magic as long as nothing is holding them back.
Spiderlegs: A motrocykill yo.
AP:14, none left.
Sleight of the Trickster:
Iznan's physical prowess and acrobatic ability are far above human standards. Although he is stronger than your average person, it goes much further than that. His flexibility and maneuverability, as well as an expert handling of bodily motion, are his physical forte. Though not flawless, some might call his mobility perfect. There are no wasted movements, no lack of confidence, and for all intents and purposes his reflexive evasion is on par with dodging bullets while standing still. He can even go on the physical offensive, even though this style of movement is not expressly that great for that. This physical superiority was handed down to him by the gods, and is focused in his left hand.
Strength: Strong
Uses: Passive effect.
Power of the Trickster:
Imbued within his right hand is an unimaginable magic force, which was also given to him by the gods. With this power at his disposable, Iznan can wield magic of incredible levels that far exceed the power of those around him. With such a large reservoir of magic potential Iznan never has to fear running out of energy. The downfall of many magicians is the constant depletion of power through the use of their variety of spells. Yes, Iznan has circumvented this disadvantage, but how?
The answer lies within the magic force he's been given. By absorbing the life energy of any organic substance (with the exception of sentient beings) Iznan can convert this energy into magic force. Additionally his capacity to hold and store mass amounts of this force is impressive in it's own right. On the other hand, Iznan cannot take perpetually without giving back. Often, Iznan must use his own magical energy after any encounter to replenish the environment. Not doing this can lead to some very severe physical repercussions.
Strength: Strong
Uses: Passive effect.
Midas Strand:
!Status Effect Ability!
The Midas Strand is a gift from the gods, obtained by combining the energy of the other two gods. By channeling small amounts of magic energy into his fingertips and brushing them across any solid surface long tendrils of concentrated magic will grow up to seven feet from that surface. These tendrils are ultimately the most dangerous thing in Iznan's arsenal, despite their many drawbacks.
Essentially the way this ability works is this: By channeling the magical energy into his fingertips he is, for all intents and purposes, making seeds of magic. When they are absorbed into a surface, the seeds then perform all of their own necessary functions. These functions include acquiring their own nutrients, growing and expanding on their own, et cetera (by feeding magic to them he can accelerate this process).
It is once they have grown that the strands become deadly. These long white threads of magic seek out any organic substance, latch onto it, and begin siphoning energy from it. How this affects another being is easy enough to see. Drowsiness and slowed movement are the major items factoring into this unconventional attack. Every ten threads that lock onto a target slow that target down for one post, until fifty threads, which causes a two post unconsciousness (Charted below).
However, the weaknesses far outweigh the strength. First and foremost, this attack is purely defensive in nature, and only an enemy who wants to be captures will be captured. Although the reasoning may seem obscure, it's true. These slowing threads of magic are only effective if the enemy walks into them. The magic threads grow straight out from the surface they've been planted on and move very little, so as long as one is careful and wary they can be avoided.
Additionally, one might normally fear the "Never-ending Chain-Status". But there is a major flaw in this magic that prohibits chaining status effects. When the threads latch onto an enemy, they emit a sort of magical anti-pheromone that prevents any more threads from attaching to that target. The magic residue of these lasts for two turns after dissipation, which means a full two posts of free movement among the magical threads
And then there's the last major drawback. Yes, when the thread's latch onto a target they leach magical energy, but when they dissipate they disperse magical energy, a large amount of which is reabsorbed back into the victim. This magic absorption acts as a shot of adrenaline, heightening power and senses. The larger the amount of threads the stronger the adrenaline. Combined with the anti-pheromone residue, this can be hugely disadvantageous to Iznan.
10 Threads catching in one post=1Post of slowed movement
20 T=2PS
30 T=3PS
40 T=4PS
50+ T=2Posts of complete unconsciousness.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Many can be made per turn with little or no detriment to his magical state. There is no cool down, and there is no charge. They last only two turns on their own, but can be sustained indefinitely as long as Iznan has the power to spare. Without acceleration they grow to half height on their first turn, and to full height their second, before dissipating.
Iznan Harker is a spider. To say anything else is an understatement. The epic nature of his tales, of his life story, cannot be described in human words and still amount to it's ultimate significance. However, I will describe what I can.[/blockquote]
Born in the jungles of the Pridelands, Iznan Harker is a grand son of the legendary Anansi the trickster. Out of a brood of over nine thousand, Iznan was the only one to live out his childhood. In the first year of childhood, the brought a great famine to the spiders, to text their hunting skills. Iznan told one thousand of his brothers and sisters, "We will not see the end of our childhoods if we don't find food quickly. Surely there must be a way." And Iznan came up with a great plan. While all the other siblings were in the jungle making webs to catch flies, Iznan spoke to the one thousand siblings who had stayed with him. "Brothers and sisters, I have a plan!" He said. "Though each of us is small and weak, all of us together are strong. I'm sure my plan will work. Go find where the antelope graze and on your backs carry a large fruit to lure one back to the jungle, near a great fruit tree. I will weave a web that will pull the most fruitful branch back, and you will see. We will have food." So his brothers and sisters did as they were bid, running far and wide to bring an antelope into the jungle. When the Antelope came near the great fruit tree, it immediately saw the most fruitful branch, and went to eat.
But the branch was just out of reach. Iznan had used his strong threads to pull the branch up so that it bowed tightly. With much struggling the Antelope bit a fruit and suddenly Iznan's web snapped, and the branch whipped down and cracked the antelope in the skull to kill it. The antelope fell over dead, but crushed Iznan's brothers and sisters. Flies soon flocked to the dead animal, and Iznan made a great web, and fed on many flies through the year.
He did this for nine years until he had grown from childhood, and every year he ate rich and full all year round, while his brothers and sisters grew fewer and fewer. When it came the tenth year the gods looked down upon Iznan and saw that he was the only child left of Anansi's son. They gave him many congratulations for surviving through his childhood, and gave him the strength to fend for himself, the confidence to never stop spinning, and tool so that no prey would ever escape.
But one of the gods was very angry. One of the gods had seen that Iznan's brothers and sisters had died, while Iznan ate like a king, and so that god told all of the other gods. All of the gods were angry, and wanted to take back their gifts, but they couldn't take back what they had already done. So instead they banished him forever from the Pridelands.
It was several days later when Iznan woke up in Traverse Town. His body had changed, but his mind remained the same. Iznan decided to turn his banishment into an adventure and began getting used to his new human body. While he traveled he met many people, and had many adventures. He learned many things, and soon he began to encounter the darkness of the worlds, as well as the light. There was much fighting between them, and often Iznan was caught between Heartless and Heroes.
This adventure seemed much to serious, with far too many responsibilities, and so Iznan began to avoid all excitement he could, but no matter where he went or what he did, he was followed by one side or another. So he decided right then that he would be the legend of the middle. If he did heroic things for both darkness and light, he could be far more recognized than if he did heroic things for just one side. So Iznan has been sailing the worlds alternating sides to become famous.
