Audition post (400 words)
Xigbar just got back from a mission, and was on his way to the throne room when he stopped. He heard voices coming from that same room he was heading to, and decided to eavesdrop and see what they were talking about. He crept up to the doorway, and put his ear near it. He soon recognized the voices as Larxene, and Marluxia.
"What are those two traitors plotting this time?" Xigbar asked himself, instinct telling him to keep it down.
"You sure no one has figured it out yet?" Larxene asked her compatriot.
"I doubt anyone besides Xemnas or maybe Saïx would be able to figure it out. But just to be safe, we better speed things up. Time to get our ace in the hole ready." Marluxia replied. Larxene replied with a short and simple okay.
Xigbar figured based on past experience with these two, as well as from instinct that they were planning another plot to overthrow the organization's leader. And if they got rid of him, there's no telling what they'd do. And Xigbar's instincts said not a good thing to him. He decided to do what he was best at. And that would be sarcasm, wise-cracks, and being cocky. But he'd do it in a conniving way. After all, he was looking out for number one, both himself, and Xemnas. Xigbar walked into the throne room.
"So, Larxene, Marluxia. Hatched any good plots lately? One that might put Xemnas outta power."
"What all did you hear?" Marluxia questioned the one-eyed Nobody.
"Enough to know that whatever you two are planning, you don't want people to find out about it, and that you have an ace in the hole." Xigbar disappeared, and reappeared on his throne. "Now what could that plan be, and just who, or what could that ace in the hole be? I don't think Sora or Roxas will go along with your little schemes. Axel is definately out, and so are the other three that served with you at Castle Oblivion. So that leaves me, Xaldin, Luxord, Demyx, Saïx, and Xemnas. But who could it be?" He vanished once more, and reappeared, this time, between the two schemers.
"Okay I give up. What's the plan Stan. Going to trick someone into doing something they like, but it benefits you instead? Well tell ya what. I'm not going to turn ya in, not yet. I want to see just what ya got planned before I go running off and telling everyone. I mean, what good is it to tell everyone something is wrong, when I don't know what is." He walked away from the two, and turned around.
"And Marluxia, quit being so girly, those flower petals really make you look like a pansy. Heh, isn't that a type of flower? And Larxene, you should really improve your aim." And with that, Xigbar left the room.
"I wonder if they want me to wait. Oh well. As if they'll do anything once I figure out what they are up to. As if."
