Of course. Though, I only mention this because, as I said before, I'm a coward and I take every advantage available to me (Dangling hair or fur can be used to scale it, less well built limbs can be exploited etc.). I've also clearly played too much of Shadow of the Colossus.

Quick question: if I get enough munny to buy a new ability mid-fight, is it permissible for me to use it? Or is it strictly "what we came in with"?

I think it's fine, though the problem hasn't come up in my short existence as a QM. It'd pr'bly be for the best for a different QM to give an real answer, but I think it should be OK. Haven't exactly started fighting yet, right?

You are allowed to buy Upgrades for your character mid-thread if there is reason for the progression. If a QM wishes to cancel that ability for their Quest then it is up to them(In this case 3 of them), but as the general rule it is allowed.

Pyrthian, Rocket and Gravity have given their permission for me to use purchased abilities/items mid-battle. I'd assume the same gesture extends to all participants.
