General Character Information

Character Name: Jarek Sankin
Character Age: 21
Character Gender: Male
Character Race: Human
Character Position: Good
Character Personality: Not one to take seriously, in fact, he doesn't even do his job in a serious manner. He tries to keep a cool level head under pressure by occasionally jesting or fooling around. However, when the time comes he is absolutely focused. He's not much of a people person, but that doesn't mean he isn't friendly, but watch out for his low humor.
Character's Appearance: His build is a tall, athletic body, with all sorts of scars resembling bullet wounds, sword cuts, burns, this figure has definitely seen his days of combat. He has a chiseled face, combine that with an angry expression, he would look rather intimidating. His brown hair is somewhat short, about 2 inches long on the top, and his blue eyes sometimes have been known to have an irridescent glow that would somewhat stand out in the dark.

Weapon Appearance:
3-round burst fire or full auto. 30 rounds to a clip. 5.56mm. Powerful yet versatile. Auto-feed mechanism for fast and simple reloads.
Abilities:
Enhanced reflexes - The normal human being has a natural reflex cycle time of 1/6th of a second. When Jarek forces himself to focus, he's able to trim his natural reaction cycle time to 1/16th of a second, giving him a large edge in combat that requires speed and reaction time. This also occurs during an adrenaline rush. It is taxing on the mind and therefore can not be 'used' indefinitely, otherwise temporary mental exhaustion occurs.
Enhanced Strength - More like paranormal strength. When he needs it, it's there. For his tall athletic build, he can hit someone like a powerhouse bodybuilder and send them flying, perhaps even bust off a limb. This also makes his metabolism soar, and use lots of energy stores within the body.
Heightened "Paranormal" sensory - Jarek can see ghosts. He can see things that are on the spectral plane. He has no control over it, rather, things or objects on the spectral plane reach out to him, then he can see/feel/taste/etc. it. This can sometime give him an edge in combat, however most of the time it's a minor liability.

Character History

Jarek's life would seem normal up to the end of his teenage years. His mother died during childbirth, so his father was the only one left to raise him. A hardworking and intellectual individual in his past, he decided to primarily pick up on sports, at the time he did not realize it, but his enhanced reflexes and supernatural strength had made him a powerful player in sports. In baseball he could have near pinpoint accuracy hitting the ball with the bat, and his strength would send it flying out of the field, every, single, time. He always wanted to take after his father, apparently his father was a soldier of a unique sort, not your everyday grunt. His expertice was not only subdueing his enemy, but also being able to infiltrate buildings undetected (for the most part).
One day, when Jarek had turned eighteen, he made his "first contact" with the paranormal. Time seemed to slow for him. His body and everything around him had slown down, but his mind had not, and in his room when no one else was around, stood this girl, assumed to be at the age of fourteen. The apparition spoke to him, saying in a bonechilling whisper "Your life will be of great imprtance, it will be adventurous, daunting, and seemingly near impossible for any normal human. Of course, you're not normal, are you?".. And with that, the apparition had disappeared, and everything went back to normal. Jarek's life had changed now that he had realized he was.. "gifted", so to speak. He kept his unnatural happenings to himself, and he took on jobs as a mercenary, spy, bodyguard, or anything along those lines.
One day, however, he made an.. "accident" with one of his jobs. A reactor of some sort had become unstable, and Jarek was caught in the middle of it. He did not die, however, he would no longer see any instance of his home again.

It kinda bites that we can only utilize one weapons, I always liked creating characters that utilized several "normal" weapons.
