I'm not taking the creative route. I fear that's not really gonna give me a good paying job.
I hope to go into psychology myself, and get a Ph. D. I'll probably just do clinical practice, though experimental psychology would be fun as hell >_>

What a coincidence I too have enlisted in the Navy. Mainly so they can pay for my further studies in film, but it's a good way to see the world and not spend a dime.

I may quite possibly make my living in a field of Science or Literature...all of my friends seem to think I should be a Literature Professor or a Music Conductor...but we shall see, won't we? Who knows what the future could bring? I could end up being the dictator of Romania...

I'm really sure of myself at this point. I want to be a published writer and a history teacher. I'm taking a writing school test and if I get accepted, it'll be really good to up my talent for writing. I'm also going to write articles for a site called Helium now. They have publishers, and if they see my work I could be asked to do more, and obviously they would have connections so I'd have a chance at getting myself published. Besides that, if I'm popular enough there I get paid for the articles I write, and that builds up. So I'd use that money to move out of my province and go to a proper place where I don't have to learn another language to get by, and pay for my college funds. I plan on taking History, Culinary, English and Music. Music only because I wanna be able to play an instrument. XD
So that's my plan for later. I'm really sure about this, and I'm not going to change my mind later. Dead set on it, y'know?

Internet site writing...good luck (recognition and creative rights wise). It's not given much thought now and I'm not sure when that will change dramatically. Bloggers are the "typical" writing and well...they're not really respected. I'm curious really. Your pursuits look to be a lot like mine, but through different mediums.

To those who know me well, my future plans shouldn't come as a surprise. English teacher, with a strong focus on creative writing (and writing in general). Not exactly a dream job, I know... but this is what happens when your parents are both public school teachers. Decent pay, good benefits, and the best job security in existence (nothing quite beats tenure).
Of course, there's always those hopes... I'd love to write stories for video game development someday, even if it's just a side thing. Who knows? Maybe if I get lucky I could end up writing a big-name title ten years from now!
Oh, and Zero? If you happen to run into a Navy Seaman by the name of Chris Finn, tell him Ryan says 'Hi'.

Well, to be honest, I haven't gotten to the point where I have one set thing I wanna do. I see myself doing either gaming design, manga illustrations, or cooking....or maybe all three! XD
No, no. Not all three. That'd be too much. Anyway, I haven't really decided yet. But people do suggest I should take up cooking. I think it's because of that lasagna pizza I made for a party once. I dunno...

Lasagna pizza?! How does one go about combining two such famous Italian delicacies into one? You've got me genuinely curious now... can you post the recipe?

Haha, how expected, plenty of people looking for careers in creative writing and literature. Where are the people wanting to be plumbers and carpenters? xD

Carpenters and plumbers, janitors and truckers? When some of us realize writing their entire life is not only boring but tedious fruitless work with no benefit in the end. And they hate teaching. This is a roleplay site....I'm surprised we're all not saying creative writing. However, with the baby boomer generation in America soon to retire, by the time most of us graduate many jobs will be open. What's more English and Creative Writing haven't been popular fields for a few decades, their popularity has slowly been waning; anyone that tells you otherwise is ninny. It seems that down trend is going back up. I think the real question is who realizes you have to supplement a life of writing with a real career and not just a hobby? (Teaching jobs are hard to find if the market closes up quickly.)

Actually, you'd be amazed how many teaching positions are going to open up in the next 5-10 years. Both my parents teach in public schools and have seen various districts over the years, and the vast majority of teachers either are on the cusp of retirement or will be in a few years. It's a good time to enter the field. And if that doesn't work out, I can always inherit my parents' side business, 'Picture This...'. I've come along to shoot video for weddings, sweet sixteen and bar mitzvah parties, concerts, the works. It's not my passion and it's not steady work, but it pays well.

Many will have the choice between Public, College, and Charter Schools. The future of Education is going to be an interesting one in America. We sorely need something new, it's simply inadequate compared to practically all other "developed and industrial" nations. What's more annoying is the bias between regions in the US and part of the problem with changing Education here, such a f***ing large country means resources have to be spread out. Most likely you're spending more money there and hopefully your "trained" professionals can adapt. It's going to be tough, but the results should be interesting.

But in Reality Land, where Dreams Don't Come True I'll end up in advertising. Or coke dealing. As a girl for hire. Living under a bridge. How much for an hour? ... ...... Wot? But wait, what're you going to do for the remaining 55 minutes? Just pay for the 5 Aki. Much cheaper. Anywho, I have one of two goals. My first and most realistic goal is a career in engineering, or more specifically computer engineering. It seems interesting enough and I know it pays well. Hopefully that'll lead me somewhere close to video games, as I've ALWAYS wanted to design video games. Second, and the more unrealistic one, would be a career in politics. If I can discover an effective way to persuade the masses, perhaps I could eventually and quite illegally become a dictator in one country or another. I could see me starting up another war on the Napoleanic scale. That'd be fun until I get killed xD But I'll likely end up as one of those smelly bums on the street that I currently look down upon.
