What do you say for that every quest you do, you can get experience and every time you fill up your experience bar, you get an AP point? I think that'd be neat and pretty easy to moderate.

I like it!
This is cause it gives more in the way of progression from quests. Right now, interest in doin' quests is for the loot!
(...and loot is a good thing.)
Giving something like this after a Quest, or even mid-quest would be an eleven on the neat factor. (This factor is rated out of ten, by the way!)
The only thing I'll say in the way of refining the suggestion is that it'll need refinement. A buncha buncha experience... and you get a single AP point? At that point, you could buy yourself quite a few slots and upgrades.
On top of that, some Quests have been known to hand things like abilities out. Just saying. >.>
What d'you want this kind of system to be like Gem? A "bonus" system (Where it's like those frequent flyer cards. Ride often enough, and you get a free ride! Takes forever, though.) or is this supposed to be about progression/progress?

It's like in RPGs, every time you win a battle, you get experience. So probably the latter that you were speaking of.

Interesting concept. Can someone come up with a design/diagram/whatever to illustrate the different components? Like a mock trial.

I'll give it a shot! I'm basing it off frequent flyer systems, by the way. .ap.experience.As you complete Quests and similar events, you'll earn something called experience points. These experience points can be used to indirectly help your character progress.
You'll gain these points according to how much "experience" was involved. A short little Quest, for example, might get you a point or two. An epic Quest that had you on your toes at all times, though, might get you as much as six points.
After accumulating 15 exp. points with one character, that character will be given "bonus" AP. AP, as you have no doubt read before, can be used to create and upgrade abilities.
The amount of Bonus AP you get depends on their experience level, something shown in their profile. A character that has only up to their first level, for example, is liable to earn only one AP. A character who has been through many Quests though, with a high level, could possibly earn enough Bonus AP to create a Strong ability right off the bat! Again though, you can only use Bonus AP with the character they're given to.
Developing a character to it's fullest extent has it's rewards. Think your character is up to the challenge? Now that was just plain ol' me typing, not staff. It looks kinda neat, though! Edit. What doesn't work? What needs to be there that isn't?

I like it. Would we be using a code? If not, that's just another thing for character mods. >_>

I don't think codes would work, if the exp. points would only apply to one char. (Ex. of multiple char exp. system: doing a quest with one char and using the bonus ap on another.)
If it's universal, then the exp. points would be for RPers, not characters. In that way, you could just rename a Warning Bar code and make it blue, or use the same one we have now for Munny.
But if we're going with the one char system, then yeah. More work for Character Mods! It'd be a char mod responsibility, for the most part.

I have mixed feelings. I mean, things are pretty complex for an RP as is. Though this doesn't seem too difficult, I fear we're becoming less and less noob friendly.

It pains me to say, but I agree with the gentlemen before me.
Do pray tell, what is the gained benefit of adding yet another system to bog down the simplicity of the roleplay? Are we not steering too much into a direction where your "character development" equals numbers on a stat sheet?
If you want this many RPG elements I suggest you play an RPG. This is, after all, but roleplay, and we are already rather bogged down by a system that makes use of mock stati.

Well, I'm not sure this is completely noob-applicable. It's for events and quests, right? Those have a tiny bit of a learning curve as it is, and these are just the prizes!

Munny is pretty much already the forum's "version" of RPG experience anyway. Has been since FM opened(And many other things we seem destined to always have with us here for better or worse came at that time too. =P)
You do a quest, you make both from munny posting in it and from the reward, and then you maybe buy your character something.
And if you used the experience of the Quest as the WAY he learned it then you can even get half-off. The whole reason that exists is to make munny stretch and to reward actual role-playing over random posting. lol
My feelings anyway.

Not to mention, of course, we QMs can give out AP...
RARELY. On the harder quests. It's not something you're supposed to just get easily from quests. That's what earning munny is for.

I apologise for my harsh response. I suppose I went a bit too far there if you start apologising for making suggestions.
Never ever apologise for trying to give input on making things funner. Even if our definitions on fun differ, by no means does it mean you are denied the right to offer your view of matters.

HEY! I'M DOING THIS ON MY SITE!
Sorry, just thought I'd point this out. *reads the ideas*
Oh. I have a code that does experience points based on number of posts. The more posts, the more xp. Every time you level, you get bonus AP. That hopefully will encourage activity on my site.
