Audition post: Standing in the rain was not on the top of The Luna Diviner’s to do list.
Normally the seventh member of Organization XIII was on a large scale mission for Xemnas, a mission that involved an assassination, a kidnapping, or maybe declaring war on a world or organization that stood in the way of Xemnas's plans. Today however, with all the other members off on their own assignments, Saix was left with what he believed to be a mind numbingly dull task: wiping out some street trash. Closing his eyes, the man stood with arms crossed as he waited for the intruders in The World That Never to arrive at Memory's Skyscraper.
The powerful nobody didn't have to wait long for his quarry to arrive in the square outside the skyscraper. The intruders, one armed with a sword, one with a shield, and the final with a bow and arrow set quickly charged into the area with a multitude of shadows on their trail. Saix opened one of his yellow colored eyes to gaze calmly down on those he was supposed to fight. All were young, in their mid-teens perhaps, and looked slightly wearied from their adventure in the nobody of a world. If Saix was one like Xigbar or Demyx who tried to simulate emotion, he may have laughed at the group's misfortune. Relentlessly chased by heartless only to be lead to a man who would quite easily be their undoing.
Unfolding his arms and opening both eyes, the black cloaked nobody moved forward, his long blue locks shifting gently on his muscled shoulders as he moved forward, putting himself between the group and the castle. Couldn't have street trash running around in headquarters, could he? As the pursued group neared number seven, the man merely snapped his fingers and the group of shadows shriveled away, heading back from whence they came in the dark city. Even heartless knew they wanted no part in this. Curious at the vanishing darkness yet still on guard, the trio quickly focused on this new threat, weapons at the ready. It was a smart move not to trust the man in black.
"Rather impressive for ones of your age to have made it this far in this forsaken city. Even more impressive with the fact that not a single one of you wields a keyblade to fend off the heartless," the Luna Diviner observed in what came off as a cold tone to the assembled group. They said nothing as they waited tensely for the man to make his purpose here clear. "Welcome to the land where nothing lurks, the World That Never Was. Even trash deserves to know what world it died on, I suppose," Saix continued in the same emotionless tone, watching the group for any warlike gestures.
The movement Saix sought to look for came from the owner of the bow and arrows who, a bit preemptively, fired off an arrow at Saix's head. The Luna Diviner tilted his head slightly to avoid the attack and, unlike what the archer expected, the man was neither angry nor shocked but retained his eerily neutral expression as he continued gazing upon them. "Before I begin to test the strength of your hearts, I have a question for you all," the nobody announced simply as he raised a hand and summoned his massive claymore to his right hand before holding it neutrally at his side.
"Do you feel it, the moon's power?"
Without so much as waiting for a response the blue haired nobody sprang forward and swung his claymore in a sweeping arc, causing the entire group to scatter in all directions. The swordsman was the first to charge right back at the Luna Diviner as the archer shot off three more arrows aimed for larger man's side. Not even batting an eyelash, Saix moved forward out of the arrow's path while simultaneously clanging blade's with the swordsman. Saix watched with no emotion as the teen's arms trembled under the force of his blow. Disappointing.
As the shield bearer stood frozen with fear and the archer prepared another round of arrows, Saix took the fight to the swordsman, swinging slow after blow upon the boy's blade as he struggled to fend the powerful nobody off. Eventually the boy's sword glowed with a yellow energy and he attempted a powerful thrust at Saix's midsection, only to hear the clang of metal against metal as Saix blocked with the claymore. "Was that the extent of your power?" Saix inquired coldly before he skipped off to the side to dodge more arrows.
Saix had gathered enough data. Not one heart here was worthy of capture. Time to end the charade. Silently and without warning, Saix flung his claymore, the bottom spike first, straight into the archer's chest, killing him instantly. Summoning the claymore to his hand once more, Saix thrust his claymore into the side of the surprised swordsman, slaying him as well. Two admittedly weak warriors lay defeated in under a minute.
The final member of the ill-fated group was horrified. He had lost both his friends so fast he barely saw them go. Rooted to the spot as the murderer approached, he stared blankly at the corpses of his friends, unsure of what to do. "All has been lost to you. Do you understand how painful it is to be missing something in your life now? You feel our pain then, the collective pain of the nobodies. You have but two options now. Join them in the darkness beyond death, or lurk in the world with a piece of your heart missing. Choose," the Luna Diviner ordered icily with his claymore in a relaxed position at his side. Head hung low, the teen started to mutter out a simple sentence. "Ki-" was all he got out before the claymore drove into his chest, and he was no more.
"One who foolishly wastes the gift of having a heart down not deserve it," the nobody spoke to himself simply before turning to the heart shaped moon in the sky, still equipped with a gaping hole in it.
"Kingdom Hearts...why do you not give me back my heart?"
