Anyone can play.
-----------
You are an apprentice Mage. After a night of drinking, you find yourself waking up in a cellar. There are five crates, a barrel and a broken bottle.
There's one staircase leading up, but there's a trapdoor closing the exit.
You don't know the time, but you were supposed to find your master before he leaves town. You vaguely remember he was at New Cross Inn.
Please post actions.

Player 1 suggests that the mage look inside the barrel. If there's water, drink it.

You examine the barrel. It contains sand.

You walk up the stairway and examine the trapdoor. It's made of wood. You try to guess at how old it may be, but find your knowledge of wood lacking.
All in all, an ordinary trap door.

Player 1 suggests pushing at it. Maybe it will budge?

You push against the trapdoor and find it opens easily.
Situation has changed, you can now exit the room.

You leave the room and find yourself in a new one.
The new room reeks of alcohol. It's a square room. There is a bed against the wall on your left, and a dresser against the wall on your right. A door is right in front of you. A flickering lightbulb is the only source of light.

Player 2 suggests searching through the dresser. There might be something useful in there.

Player 3 suggests finding something large and blunt to hit people with. The smell of alcohol has this player profoundly worried.

Operating in order of postings.
You open the dresser. Immediately, a moth flies out. You vaguely think you can hear distant cries of 'I'm free, free at last!'. That's impossible, isn't it?
There's a mantle in the drawer.
---
You give the room a cursory glance. There's nothing large and blunt.
(please remember to be specific where to look, Rocket!)

Player 3 groans, and then proceeds to recommend knocking on the door.

You knock on the door. The only sound you get is that of your fist rapping on wood.

Player one suggests examining self. Just to be sure you're you and all.
