Unless you've lost your mind, you're Colt Parleen, 22 years old. You're an apprentice Mage to Magellon, the greatest Mage in town.
You can feel some stubbles on your chin, and your robe looks like it's had better days, but overall you're Healthy.

You pick up the mantle without effort.
-------
You already examined yourself, see previous post.
Your inventory now contains a mantle.

You open the door. A blinding light enters the room from outside, and you can hear the sound of horses trampling through the streets, of merchants praising their wares and of people outside.

Player 2 suggests checking under the bed. There could be monsters or other cool stuff.

Player 3 is now sure that there are no monsters under the bed. If not then, then certainly now. xD
Oh right. Action.
Player 3 motions to move up against the wall until such a time as the blinding light fades to a more accommodating blaze.

You look under the bed. There's a few broken bottles there, and a load of dust. Even a cobweb. No spider though.
-----
You lean against the wall and wait for your eyes to adjust to the light.

You leave the room.
Once outside, you see a wall before you. There is a path to the east and a path to the west.

You look to the east. It's a normal pathway at least.
You look to the west. You get an ominous feeling, but you're not sure if that's because you're looking at the sun, or because of your magical prowess.

Player 2 suggests examining and explaining one's own magical talents.

You try to look at your own magical powers, but find it's difficult to look at something that's not called on.
You try to explain it, but it's magic. How do you explain it?
