The problem I have with life is simple. Why do humans need to sleep so often? Why can't we store energy by photosynthesis by day and use it sustain ourselves even at night, or maybe we could use half our brains at a time (ala Sperry), so one brain can continue work while the other rests. They can take shifts. We'd have reduced function at times, perhaps, but its more convenient that wasting night half our lives doing nothing.
Another complaint I have is that I wasn't born with some sort of gland that made me excessively attractive to certain (read hot) females.
And what's with the inconvenience of distance? Haven't they built a teleporter yet?
Hah. Well. That was fun. So, do you folks have any complaints to make against the cruel tyrant that is the everyday reality?

What are you talking about, Akito? Life is perfect! =O
...
The sky should be purple. Screw nitrogen.
There should be more hours in the day. Isn't there some way to slow down the Earth's rotation?
People in general worry too much about things they can't control. If you spend your whole life freaking out because some day the sun's going to explode, some day the world's going to end, there are diseases you might catch, the government could be (...is) hiding things from us... how can you ever be happy? I mean yes if you can prevent something, you should be careful...but still. Too much worrying!

I dun wanna grow up. D:
Or old.
Actually... both.
Yup. That's the essence of my complaints. And I totally think that immortality would be cool regardless of immortal angsting in fantasy lit.

I wish my brain was a calculator. Actually, I wish my brain was a computer. Surf the net by closing my eyes. Why can't we do that? D< We're the most intelligent species on earth, aren't we?
And awkward moments. There should be some kind of ban on awkward moments. The world would be a far better place without these moments of awkwardness. Write to your legislator! Demand for a ban on awkward silences!! BAN AWKWARDNESS!
Also, why can't everyone just be born with supreme talents? Practicing is a huge waste of time.

To be honest, immortality as nice as it sounds, would suck, unless the ones you loved could share it with you. I mean never dying while the people you love grow old and die, sometimes peacefully, other times not, I wouldn't want that. My complaints about life is that the school day is too long. And my senior year has too much stuff for it to be my year of fun, though hopefully I can change that.
>D
Oh and the fact that there aren't any good jobs for a teen to get without leaving the comforts of their home, and their computer....

Ah, if everyone was born with supreme talents, everyone would be mediocre. I think you mean, why can't -I- be born with supreme talents? Agreed.
I wouldn't mind having more time, as opposed to complete immortality. Or perhaps being able to -choose- when I die/grow old. And having the choice to take back that choice.

And what's with the inconvenience of distance? Haven't they built a teleporter yet? There is one, but I'm not eager to try it... much less try to build one. My big life complaint is that effort is never fast enough to catch up with creativity. Scenario: this great idea pops into your head for, example, an awesome webcomic. You decide to write it down. By the time you've finished figuring out how to put that abstract thought into finite words on a piece of loose leaf, it's either already begun to fade or spiraled off into some manner of tangent. By the time you actually complete the bloody thing your creative momentum is pretty much shot, you weren't able to quite make it the way you'd envisioned, and there's critics popping up everywhere to point out how your work just doesn't measure up. Imagine if we could store that first creative spark (and all the ones which spawned from it) in a perfect eternal form, there to think on and marvel at for as long as we want...

My complaint? Food that tastes good makes you fat. How cruel is that? While some can eat it with no consequence until they hit mid-life, others are forced to endure the fat and thus catch bronchitis while running on a treadmill. Also, money is too important. ..And also what Nascent said, only bent more to painting and drawing. Awesome idea, but by the time you start to draw it it goes away and what you have down looks nothing like what you imagined.

I just realized I'd angst over immortality.
BUT.
I still totally want it. In abstract, anyways. Maybe if it'd involve being reduced to a blind, deaf, mute brain in a jar I'd reconsider.
Also: Consistent anything studying, exercise, effort, practice is bloody unpractical. Not to mention boring. Every time I reach my goal I just don't feel like plodding onwards anymore. XD

Same rant about sleep. Man, dolphins got it right! D=
Also, why does technology have to upgrade itself every 18months or so? As if it isn't hard enough keeping up? Do they really expect us to buy a new computer, phone, or laptop every year!? D=
And what's with getting a job, finally getting into the groove of things, liking your coworkers, and then having a cooler job thrown into your lap when you weren't even looking?! Especially jobs that really get your hopes up, pay better, offer more time to work, and involve things you like to do, but sadly you don't have all the requirements they want. Instead, they tell you to rush in getting some kind of computer based certificate, learning the data communications network and how it works, and learning html before the job becomes available to apply for. ;-; And then, even if you manage to pull all this off in a short span of time, what's with feeling guilty and feeling like a traitor to your old job?
Why can't people just be plugged into computer to have the data they need downloaded into their brains? ;-;

Why is acquiring a consumable external energy source to replenish my caloric requirements so difficult and stupid as a teenaged youth? Why is everything that implies independence difficult and stupid as a teenaged youth?

Why can't people just be plugged into computer to have the data they need downloaded into their brains? ;-; Because as cool as it would be to, for instance, download kung fu into my cerebral cortex, I'm not especially eager to see anything like this in my lifetime. Yes, I just revealed I'm a MASSIVE NERD. When you're raised by Trekies, how much choice do you really have? One more life-gripe from me, though less about life itself and more about life as a college student. What the heck is up with textbooks?! You're forced to buy the latest edition most times, they cost $100 or more per book, you're LUCKY if you can get $30 back from re-selling them, and every two years or so the companies automatically make new editions for everyone to buy whether there's any new information or not! Can you say 'scandalous rip-off'?!

Sorry I know this was posted by you Dei awhile ago, but I have something to say about it.
An old tome found in a ancient libraby once told me
Growing old is inevitable Growing up however is optional
Now that I think of it, I dont think that phrase was found in an old tome, more like on one of the many magnets infesting the exterior of my mothers fridge >.>
