You can call it physical or natural or genetic or whatever all you want, all I'm saying is that darkness will still be treated as darkness if another character's ability states a specific response to dark powers because the "physical matter" is still of the "dark" element just like natural fire is still of the "fire" element and would be affected by fire-response abilities. I know I haven't been able to steer this back to the real point ever since I totally screwed up my first mention of it earlier, but it can all be summed up in one question: If someone had an ability to automatically repel hostile darkness once per fight and Shadow tried to infect them, would the virus/its multiplying darkness effect get repelled out of them by the ability? If yes then all is well, whether it be supernatural or not.
The virus causing a production of more darkness to absorb indeed means you're stating it has two effects. The rules are very tough about the whole sub abilities having only one specific effect thing. If the needle was an ability then AIDS would have to be classified as a second sub ability. Two subs don't have to be completely independent of each other in order to be subs, they can work together to form a single "move" with multiple effects in it. Indeed that would be the only way to legally GET a single move with multiple effects in it. And since nothing on a character can be drastically different from a normal human(Unless they be a talking mouse, dog or duck and whatnot but then only by appearance) without an ability to modify them Shadow's genetically altered virus-carrying arm fits the bill for one anyway.
Not many people use Heartless, or even can since it'd count as summoning under current rules, so you almost may as well just use two subs for it, unless controlling Heartless is somehow vitally important to your character design.
How wonderful that our posts are getting shorter now. XD
