No seriously, I'm glad someone is getting Xaldy-kins. The only interaction I've ever had with a Xaldin was back on KHFPF. It involved some mocking and skipping away laughing into a portal as him and Xigbar threw cleaning products at me. (They got stuck cleaning the bathrooms for some sort of mishap.) xD Then I made Zexion make me a sandwich. >X3 Good times.

Technically speaking, I think the art team was trying to create a fusion of the "warrior ponytail" idea with really, really long dreadlocks. I don't know if this combination had ever even been imagined before Xaldin's character was created, quite frankly.
Although personally, the idea of calling it "the dread mop" gives me giggles. xD
