Vexen, being the driving scientific force behind the Organization, is capable of creating Replicas of any person he has had ample time to study. (A good example of this would be the Riku Replica from KH:CoM.)
These Replicas, made out of battle, retain full and complete memory recall functions to their original's memory, including battle data and any other relevant information. However, the core functioning is sufficiently altered to suit the purpose the Replica has been created for.
As needed, other data can be sufficiently altered as well... these include the aforementioned memory, and battle, data.
However, once created, the Replica is their own person. Their own persona, character, personality, descisions... it is their own. Vexen can alter them if he gets the opportunity, or their permission, but we all know the likelihood of that.
Replicas have all the battle data and capabilities of their original persona, if not more. They can be defeated as easily as the original.
Alternatively, Vexen can obtain solely battle data to create a Heartless variant of a person, even in midst of a battle. An Anti-Persona, so to speak. Though these semi-replicas are naught but battle data, they can be of some use.
Think of the Anti-Soras. Naught but a better version of Neoshadows. Capable of feats similar to the original, but empowered by darkness and capable only of fighting. Defeated relatively easily, capable of withstanding a mere fifth of the blows the original might withstand.
This is Vexen's capability as a scientist at work.

Hm... well well well! Now this is different. It's undeniably an ability with its basis in KH canonicity... but at the same time its also quite unique! I'm not going to say yes or no on this, because I think those with more experience should render judgment on something with the sheer power potential this ability grants. However, I will make a suggestion towards creating balance, and thus hopefully making the ability/summon more approvable: a replica or anti-persona can only be created when not in battle. This makes sense really, as Vexen would surely need more time and focus to create these doppelgangers than the heat of battle would allow. Just a suggestion.  |

The Replica for that bit, I'm fine with adding such restraints. The Anti-Persona is a not-so-much on my part, though. Check out this link of a KHII:FM+ fight with him, using Anti-Soras in battle! In the battle, he's actively collecting data from Sora. Vexen's Blizzard ability would allow such oppurtunities for study to create Anti-Personas. The Replicas are something solely for plot, truth be told. ^_^; They won't be used as summons, or the like. Anti-Personas are intended only for battle, though. Maybe I should just simplify this to Replicas, and create some Minion slots for the Anti-Personas? I'll edit the Replica part for non-battle only now, and hold off on further edits until someone more seasoned in such matters can make a call, like you said. Thanks! |

Fun.
Personally, if you're not going to use Replicas in battles, then I would say that you wouldn't even need to use a slot for them. They would be like NPCs. Of course, that's only if you are not intending to use them in battle. .__. If you are, then I would say that they would be minions. However, the 'battle' part of the data would be problematic what with the abilities and all that.
As for Anti-persona however, they sounded like a minion. But if you're firm on keeping it as an ability, I'm willing to hear you out. You can just say that the minions changes shape and form each time in battle depending on the opponent. They're only capable of fighting right? They can't copy abilities like Replicas?

Replicas would inevitibly end up in battle, one way or another. It's gonna end up a full blown summon or S class minion.
Anti-Personas... they're pretty much minions. I'm not gonna push for 'em as an ability.
Phones can't copy/paste, so I'm stuck until I get back! But when I do, I'll have it up right away, Northie!

Sorry to say, but the only way I'd allow the Replica would be if you stated 'Needs Opponent's permission to Copy'. It has too much potential. The copying of a Keyblade makes it far too powerful, but even if you removed that, it wouldn't be enough.
With Inheritance of the Knowledge; lets take for example Alexis. He's pretty decked up, yeah? 4 Strong abilities? That's what? 24 AP? Compared to how many AP the Replica needs to acquire all of them? 6? Yeah. It's too much. Even a new normal character starts with 10 AP. Maybe you should write something about Replicas always being inferior to the real and have them copy only 6 AP worth of abilities.
Inheritance of the Tools is actually fine. Not a big deal at all, maybe even pretty weak for a Strong ability. Inheritance of the Body should be fine as well, it's just copying aesthetically a single enemy and for a weak, it should be alright.
I'll let High mod the minions, there's nothing really wrong with them.

I agree with your reasoning completely Akito. Especially now that you've pointed it out. ^_^;
I am therefore dropping the summon, so that I can think on how it could be implemented better. I don't want to have to ask for someone's permission to copy them, frankly... it maybe kinda sorta ruins the whole point.
Still holding out on the minions, though!

Phew.
Personally, if you want the element of surprise, then I guess you wouldn't have to ask for permission to clone. However, Akito's point about Inheritance of Knowledge is important. Or, the replica can have all the opponent's abilities, but at the weak level. Also, I might have to say that cloning keyblade powers will not be allowed. Cloning a keyblade is absolutely fine.
Another thing would be to completely leave them out of battle. But the whole point of replica is for battle data, correct? Anyway, the only thing I'm not going to allow is cloning of Keyblade abilities and inheriting the entire load of abilities at their current level.
As for the anti-personas, those have been edited into Vexen's profile.

What of Blue Magic? Could I use something like that that would allow him to increase the Weak variant of the opponent's ability to Moderate if hit by it? Like having an ability that gave the Replica all weak variants on the ability. Then a second, weak, ability that allowed no less that three or four abilities to go up in strength by being hit by it? That'd lower the Weapon one to Moderate, like Akito suggested. |
