“Isn’t this romantic!?” Seifer’s infamous battle cry. The only time one heard this was either during a Struggle match, or if he and Hayner were duking it out. And the latter was the case here. Their Struggle clubs a swinging, neither one was holding back. And as always, Fuu and Rai were cheering Seifer on, while Pence and Olette were cheering Hayner on.
Vivi had just arrived in the Sandlot, after taking care of some bees like Seifer had told him to. He had asked Seifer to train him, so he could be stronger, and apparently doing these jobs while Seifer took the Munny was his way to do so. Vivi did fairly well, but he had been stung a few times, and his hat wasn’t on straight. He fixed it, and went over to Fuu and Rai.
“Why wasn’t I told Seifer was going to fight Hayner? I would’ve been here sooner.” Vivi said softly.
“Quiet. Fight.” Fuu replied.
“Okay.” Vivi sighed. He wasn’t sure why he continued to hang out with these guys, other than the fact that Seifer was so strong, and he looked up to him for that. After all, Hayner and his friends would probably be nicer to him than Fuu, Seifer, and Rai. But nonetheless, they were his friends. “Go Seifer!”
Seifer’s battle ended with Hayner, and Seifer had managed to win this one. Not that he lost often, but when it came to Hayner, it was usually fifty-fifty. Vivi walked up to Seifer.
“Way to go Seifer. You rule!” Vivi said jumping up and down.
“Say you want to train right?” Seifer asked.
“You bet!” Was he really going to train with him? Vivi hoped so. Instead of replying, Seifer handed Vivi a Struggle club.
“You’re fighting Rai.”
Vivi backed up. “Wait, but I’ll lose!” Vivi had seen Rai in action before, and Rai was no pushover, even when he was holding back.
“Fight. Get stronger.” Apparently Seifer agreed because he laughed, and then nodded.
Vivi clutched his club tight. He nodded, and stuttered out a reply.
“Al-al-alright.” Fuu tossed a handkerchief into the air, signaling the start of the match. Rai charged, and swung his club twice, hitting Vivi and knocking him on his butt.
“Ow! That really hurt!” Vivi got back up, and charged at Rai. He swung his club three times, and hit Rai once. He blocked the second one, and moved out of the way for the third. This caused Vivi to fall forward. Rai turned Vivi over, and stepped on him lightly, and put his club near Vivi’s face.
“Fight’s over ya know?”
And with that Rai went back to the group. They walked away as Vivi got up and brushed himself off. Rai didn’t have to be so rough, after all, it was just a training match, and they were in the same group. Then again, Vivi wasn’t all that tough, so Rai may have been taking it easy on him. He fixed his hat, and began to run the way his friends had gone.
“Hey wait for me guys!” He called after them. Knowing them though, it wouldn’t do much good. They weren’t going to wait for him to catch up. He’d just have to run until he caught up with them. And hopefully it would be soon, because it was getting dark outside, and well, it had begun to get dangerous around town after dark. And Vivi wasn’t in any position to defend himself. Because of his fight with Rai, the little job of fighting those bees, and the other chores given to him by the group, he was too sore and tired to do much else. It was now dark outside, and he still couldn’t find anyone.
“Umm guys? Where are you?”
