General Character Information
--------------------------------------
Character Name: Othello
Character Age: 17
Character Gender: male
Character Race: Siren
Character Position: Good
Character Personality: Othello is a very sweet but dim Siren. Looking at the glimmer of the sun in the water but never questioning where it came from or why or even that a sun exsisted in the first place. He is very kind to every creature in his own simple way, and will share what he has. He is often mesmerized by shinny objects and the glimmer of jewels or sea shells, being a mix of Siren and mermaid and having little rational human thought. He also lacks several normal human emotions being entirely non-human, including embarrassment, guilt, and sadness or the ability to cry. This leaving him often confused and empty, because his instincts compel him to sing but he is mute and therefore cannot fulfill his purpose. His unnatural kindness only stemming from his freak in-breeding. But to be distracted by his love and talent for music.
Innocent chaos often rages where he goes, because he makes friends with the wrong people and often narrowly escapes, mostly, by flashing his care free dazzling smile. Mesmerizing those around him without thought or care of the consequences and very vain and petty. Flipping flopping on decisions constantly and fretting about how it hurts his brain to think too hard about them. Othello can be thought of as a beautiful naive animal-child. Wild and pure and slightly stupid. Clumsy to boot.
Character's Appearance: Othello is very tall and lanky giant at about 6'8. His skin is an ivory white and smooth like polished marble smoothed by the waves and his face is very long and thin harboring two large eager eyes the color of downy pearl. Like a fishes eyes, shinny with hints of luminescent pink lavender and gold.
His hair is a glimmering superficial blonde that feathers around his head in wavy bouncy curls. His smile is wide and a bright white and seems to fill his delicate face along with the eyes. His body is that of a normal boy down to his lower shoulders and then flows into silvery scales on a fish. On his chest are six slits that serve as gills.
To cover himself he wears a light white cotton toga that is draped across his person. He always goes barefoot. ((note: Othello is completely mute))

Battle Information
--------------------------------------
Weapon Name:[/] Trickle
Weapon Appearance: Trickle is a small lithe sliver harp that can rest in the crook of Othello's arm. Each string is barely spaced apart and as fine as a spiders string. This allows millions of notes to be played and many in between, casting a spell of beauty and sadness and luring others into a sense of calm and euphoria. If played in a certain way a sparkling silver dust will waft off the strings and send others into a deep peaceful sleep or induce hallucinations.
Abilities:
Sea-Legs:
Othello can stick both his legs back together into a single mer-man tail. Although the process takes several minutes and is very painful.
Glamour:
Othello excretes sort of a misty glow when he is asleep, in darkness or when he is afraid. The more fear that fills his head the brighter he glows with hotter intensity, to blind or escape. It makes hiding almost impossible though. It can also extend to the smile he uses, to assure trust or safety when in reality there is none. Or less than imagined.
Parrot fish Flush:
Because Othello lacks a voice he can brush the skin or surface of the object or person nearby to extract their sound. He either sticks his hands in the person's mouth, or grasps the object and the sound transfers into his throat. The longer and the more contact he gets the longer he can maintain his ability to make sound. A simple brush of the hand can give him seconds of voice, holding onto the object/person with both hands can guarantee hours.
The object with sound leeched from it will remain mute for the amount of time Othello can speak.

Character History
--------------------------------------
Ophelia's mother being a very "friendly" mermaid was very distraught after the loss of her husband and the loss her child that she foolishly threw onto the deck of said ex-husbands ship. She naturally felt lonely and ended up washed up upon some random rock in the middle of an entirely different sea.
There living were the lovely pack of native sirens. Cautious and curious of the new visitor they welcomed her in and soon she had made a mate of one of the larger more visually pleasant male sirens. She was pregnant within the month and birthed a small homely baby (homely for sirens, not enough scales and NO feathers or sharp teeth). It was a one month-stand and she left abandoning her new son as she had abandoned her first daughter, chasing after some shinny shell or shooting star.
The other sirens scenting this new babe as "different" still took care of it (it takes a village to raise a child, or a herd of sirens taking turns) but, eventually left it to die on the rock when it was time to migrate. Deeming it unfit to survive because it no specific mother to protect or feed it.
Othello grew up on the rock alone, sleeping with angel fish and swimming with dolphins before his voice was "stolen" by the devious Ophelia. (his un-witting half sister, plot twist *gasp*) Tricking the stupid boy into bartering his voice for a sparkly pendant she made away with his voice in shape of a piece of sea glass.
Now Othello is on a hapless quest to retrieve it and looking in all the wrong places.
